Quote from: LeylaDuring one of my first  OBE's I was pulled to a higher plane where the air there was breatable water, it was like swimming in air.  The energy of the place was so pure.

That sounds like a place I'd like to visit, Leyla!

It reminds me of the time I was flying through space, and arrived at some planet. I dove into the layers of its atmosphere, one of which was made up entirely of water. It was refreshingly cool and recharging. As I burst out of the other side of it, I was transfixed by the patterns of refracted light that covered the land below, resulting from the planet's sunlight passing through the liquid atmospheric layer.

Thanks Hans and Tom. I hadn't thought of using it as a trigger.

Quote from: TomWhat is there to rationalize, anyway?

You're right. Sometimes I "forget" and think that there is something to rationalize, and that there is someone there to do the rationalization. :-)

Hello Everyone,

I have a reoccurring experience (dream?) where I'm underwater and holding my breath. After a while, I cautiously take in a lung-full of water, then I suddenly remember that yes, I am able to breath while underwater.  It's a very freeing and exciting sensation.

Afterwards, my mind attempts to rationalize the experience. Some of the explanations thought of are:

1. An occurrence of sleep apnea.
2. Some remembrance of being in the womb.
3. A recall of a death by drowning.

I was wondering if anyone has had, or has heard of similar experiences?

Thanks,

oloxio

I think I know how you feel, greatoutdoors.  I've been aching to go back to the experience, and feel the way I did then.

If I focus on the memory of it, I can feel some of the associated energy, but it's nowhere near the sweetness of elation first felt.

I wish us both luck.   :)

Hello,

I had a similar experience.

I was aware of a dazzling, shimmering light. It was sort of like a dandelion flower when it turns white, but was made up of sparkling, living brightness.

And I knew that I was THAT - it was my "true" existence. The feeling of remembrance and relief was so overwhelming. I thought myself so endearingly silly that I had forgotten this.

On a much, much smaller scale, the feeling was kind of like winning the lottery, then waking up the next morning, and beginning to carry on with the daily pattern, then suddenly slapping myself in the head and remembering, "wait a minute... I won the lottery!!!"

Sorry about the clumsy analogy. I find it difficult to adequately describe what happened.

Several years ago, while I was in an alternate focus of consciousness, I was attacked by a huge, dark, human-shaped form. This thing was absolutely clobbering me. Then, some "other" part of me took over, and matter-of-factly asked this thing what it was.

It replied that when I was in 3rd grade, I had asked my teacher if I could go to the restroom, but she wouldn't let me. I had created this entity from the anger of that situation. It had been roaming around ever since.

I went on to explain to it that attacking people isn't the best use of one's energy - that there were more constructive avenues to pursue.

I haven't knowingly encountered this thing since, but I often wonder how it's doing.
