So last night I only got about 3 hours of sleep until I had to wake up for my morning class. After class I was really tired so a I laid back down to get some sleep. I hadn't been able to visualize or work with my bodies energy for some time (it just stopped out of nowhere when I stopped doing drugs, smoking weed, etc What a bummer!) so I decided to do the pineal gland opening chant (Thoh) before passing out in hopes that it would come back. About 3 minutes later the vibrations came on strong. With my eyes closed and the vibrations in full effect I saw two spheres intersecting each other rotating in opposite direction. I saw a face in the center of the sphere which then set off a vortex effect sucking me into it (usually how an OBE begins for me). What happened next was less of an OBE but more like a lucid dream. Bare with me here, its got very weird fast. The face that sucked me into the vortex welcomed me into a room on the other side of the vortex. Inside the room, to the best of my recollection, was a midget version of ron jeremy wrestling another midget (small person..whatever) while a group of people were yelling and throwing money placing bets on who would win. I remember crying laughing at the scene unfolding before my eyes (it felt so real!) The face that welcomed me into the room then lead me to another door and another door etc until i was back in my room. At this point I thought I was awake. I got out of my bed, walked out to my car, grabbed my school bag and brought it back to my room. Next thing I know the alarm I set before the initial nap woke me up. I was really confused because I thought I had already been awake for some time. I looked next to my bed where I expected my book bag to be but it wasn't there. This was by far the nuttiest dream experience I have ever had. Also the first dream ive remembered in about 4 months. I have no idea what to make of the whole experience, any insight as to what this was would be appreciated (and no i was not on drugs, ive been sober for 2 weeks now) thanks for reading.

(I've never Astral Projected before today. I've read books on AP, read through the forums, and meditate daily so I'm familiar with most of the techniques. The thing is I think my first AP happened today, while I was awake, without using any of the technique I've read.)

I woke up for work around 5am this morning and got back home around 12. I was pretty tired so I passed out for 2 hours. I woke up around 2 but decided to lay in my bed a little longer with my eyes closed. During this period I was laying on my stomach thinking about my grandpa that had just recently passed away and how i wished I could see him again. All of the sudden I started feeling an intense energy course through my body. Then while my eyes were still closed I saw a vortex. It's kind of hard to explain, but the vortex seemed to pull my spirit out of my physical body (I openly embraced the vortex). It was really frightening at first but for some reason I knew I would be able to return to my body when I was ready. As I traveled further into the vortex I began to feel weightless, as If I were now pure energy disassociated from my physical body. The transition from physical to ethereal was like nothing I've ever felt before, pure ecstasy.  That's as far as I could get though. As much as I wish I could say I saw the astral realm I think I was too afraid to go too far from my physical body. I repeated the process of leaving my body about 3-4 times in the same session (probably lasted about ten minutes) All I had to do was imagine the vortex and I could achieve an OBE.

Has anyone else seen the vortex I described?

I've had similar experiences. When I meditate i focus on moving energy throughout my chakras. Im still pretty new to this so i can really only focus on one or two chakras at a time before i feel the energy dissipate from another area.

Its possible, but because you haven't used it for most of your life its shriveled to the size of raisin (at least thats what ive read) i would recommend using a chant to awaken it.  I personally tried it and havent been the same since (in a good way) i can literally feel energy surging through my body throughout the day. The method i tried involves taking a deep breath and chanting Thoth (pronounced toe but with your tongue lightly resting on your two front teeth in the alto range). Do this 5x in succession. I recommend doing it once a day for three days (24 hours apart each time). When you do it you'll feel slight pressure in your forehead near the third eye (thats how youll know you did it right) by the third or fourth day you'll start to feel or hear popping or crackling in that location and you'll see violet colors when you close your eyes. Then You'll start to feel the vibrations on a regular basis throughout the day (its a weird but cool feeling)

Talk to anyone that's had a near death experience and they'll tell you that they've experienced consciousness outside of the physical body (While the physical body was dead briefly). The afterlife isn't something that you explain or prove its something that you experience. The human mind can't comprehend the vastness of existence that is consciousness. It would be like trying to explain the colors of a rainbow to a blind person. Think about it, if you only have bucket-sized awareness you can only have a bucket-sized consciousness . We're merely infants in understanding the ways of the universe, but if you look to nature you see intelligent design (Fibonacci spiral growth patterns and Golden mean (PHI) ratios in all lifeforms). Think about all of the variables in nature that had to work together in perfect harmony to even make life possible. If you think that is merely just chance then i'm sorry you feel that way, but i choose to see intelligent design. And where there intelligent design there is a conscious creator (God). But don't just take my word for it. I challenge you to explore spiritual sciences, ponder existence, and have your own experiences. Life's a journey not a destination, the soul is eternal.

That's normal, with focus you can accumulate a lot of energy. For me it starts off gradual but intensifies with every deep breath I take until i get to a point where it feels like my hands are swaying or stretching out of my physical body (almost like running my hand through water and then back in the opposite direction) Like the person above me said, try focusing this energy throughout your body at all major and minor chakra points. The sensations you'll feel are exciting.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Spirit Guides?

So last week I'm laying in my bed trying to AP. I did my standard meditation process (Deep breathing, individually relax each part of my body, channel energy *vibrations* throughout my body etc) I haven't successfully AP'ed yet but I laid there in deep state of relaxation just enjoying all of the different sensations I was feeling throughout my body. I tried to do the rope method, but couldn't quite make the exit. Without getting frustrated or breaking my trance I laid there and started asking for spiritual guidance to help me ascend from the physical plane. (I know it sounds crazy but i didn't expect any kind of response, it was purely an experiment) I was persistent in my plead (for about 5min) the next thing i know the vibrations in my body are going crazy (pleasant though) and I feel a presence. It was neither a good or bad presence, it was very neutral. Then a woman appeared above my bed, she didnt look like anyone i'd ever met (physically). She was a brunette women, wearing a green dress (possibly just a green aura), with laurels in her hair. She never made a facial expression or said anything, she just kind of hovered over my bed staring at me. I remember feeling really giddy at this point thinking my plead had been answered (I still get chills thinking about it) but nothing ever came from it. I tried communicating through yes or no questions. If it was a yes i would feel an intense but pleasant vibration or if it was a no i felt nothing (at least that's what it felt like to me) I haven't seen her since but I know I wasn't dreaming. It's been about a week and a half since the experience but I can still picture her vividly. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.

*Update* I looked more into spirit guides, and came across one called Gaia. Some of the images I saw of her looked exactly like what I had seen in the experience above before I even knew about her, trippy  :-o

About a week ago I read up on activating the pineal gland. After completing the three-day process i began getting the same random vibrations you are experiencing, except my vibrations usually occur at the center of my forehead. They occur randomly throughout the day, but i also learned I can make them occur through concentration and meditation. Sometimes the vibrations are minimal but other times they can be very intense like my whole body is pulsating or like a headache but without the pain. Then i stumbled across energy channeling (self-explanatory but if you don't know what it is do a google search) and found that i could control these vibrations and move them through my body. I believe these vibrations are the energy that fuels your bodies chakras. Try focusing on moving the vibrations through each major and minor chakra in your body. It may take a while at first (energy wont flow fluidly through your body or takes a while to move) and you may find that some of your chakras are blocked (you can move the vibrations to certain parts of your body but not others) but through practice it will become faster and easier. Anyway glad that someone else is experiencing these random vibrations, i've been google searching this phenomenon but you're the only other person I've found that has had them so far.
