Getting my body to relax is not a problem at all but getting my mind to settle down a but can be very tough. My head usually bounces between thoughts and ideas at a very fast pace is there anything you would suggest? Also, i have heard that listening to music while attempting AP will make it more difficult. Did you mean listen to it the whole time? Generally i will put on some relaxing music and listen to it for about 45 minutes and really get loosened up before an attempt.

Is there such thing as an online dream journal thread thing where someone or multiple people post there daily dreams and talk about them? I searched around the site but I couldn't find one just like that. If not, would anyone be opposed to me starting one specifically for that reason alone? :-)

I have tried just about every technique there is. Generally I will try the WBTS method after a nap or in the morning when I wake up.

Astral Projecting can take a very very long time to even experience.
You do have lucid dreams tho which is an astral projection in some way, you begin to understand that you can actually have control in your dreams!
I'd say keep practicing in your lucid dreams and when you feel completely calm and in complete balance with yourself go to sleep, wake up when you feel well rested but stay in your bed and attempt the techniques you've learn.
It doesn't always work you just gotta keep trying once in a while.
Eventually you'll go to bed, and you open your eyes and you're there on next to your physical body and you don't know what's really going on.
Can take more than years to do a full projection where you're actually conscious of everything.
My first projection took me at least 5 years of lucid dreams. It's different for everyone.
Gotta let go all fears, have no expectations what so ever.
When you feel the vibrations or feel like you're moving (or getting moved by something), let it carry you away.
Can't let any thoughts get in your way in that moment tho.
Good Luck!

Kzaal.

I have been attempting lucid dreams for 18 months and ive only done it twice :c thanks for the advice

Okay, I'm not that kid that tries astral projection for five days and gets all upset when it doesn't work immediately. I have been trying astral projection for over one year now and I have little to no luck. The closest I can come is a very, very, rare lucid dream (which i also have trouble doing). It bothers me that some people do not put forth any effort and they can master either or both of these two abilities just by simply going to sleep, when I have been taking the necessary steps for about 13 months now. I have tried keeping a dream log and just about every technique in the book. I even tried the one where you try for about a month than after that just sort of "forget" and let your subconscious work it out but not even that has worked for me. My most recent attempt was yesterday it was 4am and i laid on my back completely still and did not move for about two whole hours. 6am rolls around and not only have I not successfully projected I haven't even fallen asleep. Can anyone please help, maybe tell me what I might be doing wrong. All answers and input is welcome and appreciated please and thank you.

p.s. could it have anything to do with me being an indigo child, if anything I believe that should make it easier?
