Hey guys, thanks for your responses.

TheWolfofDreams, I'll search up Indigo Children as I have not heard of it. Also, a link to that channel would be greatly appreciated!

Szaxx, the few times I have been in SP, it feels to me as it's such an easy state to obtain! Maybe this is just beginners luck, who knows? When in that state of SP though it's hard to detach from the physical body to the astral body. I feel as if I'm trying to hard and I'm over-stressing myself to go in to astral projection. I'll give everything a go again after a couple weeks of meditation. The answer to "the big question" is that I want to experience something different than just the every day life. I'm the type of person to always want to go new places, and see new things. I feel that astral projection is something completely different on a whole new level and there is so much out there.

Hey guys what's up! I joined this forum because I'm a very spiritual person(I'm a Pisces) and I love to learn new things. So you may ask "What's the first thing you encountered?" Or, "Where did you start?" or maybe even the most common question which is "How did you get in to all of this?". So to answer all of your questions; it actually started with an aura pendulum. As most of you may not know what this is, it is actually a fun thing to begin with. Many years back, I have never discovered myself, and didn't know who I was(I still believe I haven't fully discovered who I truly am). It all started in a world trading center in the mall with my friend(It's called EarthBound; some of you may know what it is). We were looking around and my friend had noticed something called a "Crystal Aura Pendulum". It was relatively cheap, but at the time I didn't believe in it. I questioned my friend "Why so much for a rock?" he told me he would explain when we were home. After we were home we opened the package, read the directions, and tested it out. My friend drew a line on a piece of paper and then held the pendulum over it(He was practicing with it to see if he could move it with his sub-conscious). So as he held it over the line, it began to move left to right. I was like woahh wtf you're soo moving it. He then told me to hold it and try it for myself, so I did. It took a lot of concentration, but I tried it. I held it over the line, clearing my mind, telling/thinking of it to move. And it did! It started to move! I was completely stunned and I was astonished by this! So the way this pendulum worked was counter clock wise for yes, and clock wise for no. You could use the pendulum to speak to your subconscious, or spirits in the presence. So as me and my friend played with the pendulum for hours, we wanted to know about each other and see if one another was lying. So at the time I was deeply in love with this girl, told my friend, and he didn't believe me(the girl was his best friend). But take note, every "simple" question we asked earlier, my aura was poor and it barely moved. I would ask "Do I have a dog?" and it slowly moved yes(counter clock wise). My aura wasn't strong at all. Anyways, back to the girl. My friend told me to prove it; so I held the pendulum and said out loud "Do I love *girls name*?". After I had said that, the pendulum moved VERY fast counter clock wise(If you're wondering why it moved faster than usual it's because love has a very strong aura). After I had proven it, my friend then believed me because he knew what love was capable of.

Anyways, that's how I started with it all. My next approach was psychic abilities such as reading auras. I practiced this for months as I really knew I was capable of doing so. After months of practice, I could finally read auras and I could tell peoples emotions(I lost my ability to do so as I stopped for a while :'().

After that I got into a lot of crazy things that would take forever to list. But about 7 months later I started to learn about lucid dreaming. I thought lucid dream was next level stuff! I had to learn it! So just like everything else I practiced, practiced, and practiced. But unlike the others I sadly failed at this and gave up(temporarily). You can read more about this http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/astral_projectionlucid_dreamingsleep_paralysis-t44958.0.html

So as time went on I dug deeper and deeper in to new things because I completely loved the whole idea of it all! Every new thing I tried my parents always tried to stop me because they believed it was demonic. But of course I didn't let them because I just wanted to be myself; or at least be the person I thought I was. Every new thing I learned I just kept wanting to learn more of something new. This whole process felt like a drug addiction. I was constantly craving something new because I just couldn't get enough. Although I wanted to learn more, I had a weakness. A weakness that gave great impact to my goals. This weakness was that I am the type of person to give up very easily. But, even though I gave up, I always gave it one more go and one last push. I didn't ever like the feeling of giving up, so I always gave everything another chance. But that's not the point. The point is, is that if I wouldn't have temporarily given up I could be closer to my goals! During the time that I had lost hope, I was wasting my time thinking I wouldn't ever succeed when I could have instead kept on pushing it to the limit achieving my goal! It's one mistake you shouldn't ever make; giving up is one of the worst possible things you could do.

Anyways sorry I'm done with the lecturing. Let's just get to know the basics of me(I'll try to keep it simple and not go in full complete detail as I don't want to waste your time). I'll just make this in to a Q&A sort of thing.

Q: How old are you?
A: I'm 15 years of age.

Q: Don't you think you're a little to young for all of this?
A: Of course not. I believe you should live life to the fullest and if you want to try new things, do it! Don't let anything or anyone stop you from doing so. Just like a movie, it has an ending and so does life. So live it the way you wish to do so because every second that passes it's another second closer to the end of your "movie".

Q: Do you think you're spiritual for the simple fact that you're a Pisces?
A: No, I do not think that. I'm a spiritual individual because I choose to be so. Being a Pisces is just icing to the cake.

Q: Do you believe in life after death?
A: Honestly, I'm not sure what to believe yet as far as dying. I'm still coming off of my religion. It was forced on me my entire life and I was forced to believe things such as Heaven and Hell. I'm really not sure what I believe yet. I think my film is still rolling and I'm still discovering who I truly am and what I truly believe.

Q: Are you mature for your age?
A: Well the word "mature" has many different meanings. But the answer to this question is yes. I can be very mature for my age and have the mindset of an adult. While on the other hand, I can also act like a very immature 12 year old that takes everything as a joke and constantly make sarcastic remarks.

Q: Will you be my friend?
A: Yes of course :)

Q: Are you experienced in anything other that has nothing to do with spirituality?
A: Isn't everyone? Yes, I absolutely love playing the piano.(If you're literally aren't experienced in anything whatsoever at all, don't be upset! This only means you haven't fully discovered who you are yet.)

Q: Interests?
A: Spiritualistic things, playing piano, swimming, and fast cars/objects(such as dirtbikes)

Q: What do you look like?
A: Dirty blonde hair(Looks brown to me but my parents say it's dirty blonde but whatever.), 5'9, hazel eyes, skinny, and 115lbs.

Q: Do you have a girlfriend?
A: No, we broke up about 3 weeks ago.

Anyways guys this is my introduction telling a little bit about myself and if you have anymore questions please do let me know! I would be more than happy to answer them! I hope I can get to know some of you on the forum and make new friends!

Sorry, I'm new to the website so I don't know if this is the right section or not to post this. If this is the wrong section, may a moderator please move this thread?

Upon what you will be reading are some stories about lucid dreaming, astral projection, and sleep paralysis. I will be telling you about my experiences, how I was introduced to it, and how long I have been studying it. Okay, so first things first.

Table of contents:
There isn't really a table of contents but this thread is going in separate pieces kinda. First, in the bullet points, I will be giving a bit of information about myself, stating the point of this thread, and answer the most common assumption "you're lying".
After the bullet points, I will begin to explain how I got in to lucid dreaming, and tell you some major mistakes I had made. During the end of the lucid dreaming paragraphs I will slowly fade in to the topic of "Sleep paralysis" and explain some of my experiences and how I induced it. As I wrap up the topic of sleep paralysis, I will then start talking about astral projection.

As I have already told you, there isn't really a table of contents. I'm just telling you how the story will be going in case you want to skip ahead and read about something specific. Although I do strongly agree you read the entire story and not skip ahead as it may cause confusion.

  • Who am I?
I am 15 years old, and I go by my online nickname "Dalek". I am fairly mature for my age, although I do like to play around and be very sarcastic quite often.

  • Why are you here/What is the point in this thread?
I'm here because I want to share some of my experiences with lucid dreaming, astral projecting, and sleep paralysis. I want people to get to know me and share some of their experiences too. My main reason of being here is because I wanted to Skype with someone people my age or older(no one younger sorry) about these experiences and have conversation about it.

  • How do we know if you're lying?
That is for you to believe. This thread you are reading as of now is very serious and all of the information within it is nothing but truth. If you have no idea what any of this is and you go on reading you are going to think this is complete utter b*******. Yes, I know this sounds very fake, but this is why I am making this thread. I want to communicate with people over Skype about these phenomenons.

Alrighty, so now that you know a little about myself and why I'm here, let's discuss this topic and talk about my experiences and how I got in to all of this. So about 5 months ago I was browsing the web and I came across a forum thread called "lucid dreaming". As I was really bored and didn't care about what it was or not; I just wanted to read random things whether it was real or fake. I just wanted to read forum threads(lol). So I clicked onto the thread, and it was a person explaining about how to lucid dream and what it was. The thread stated that you could control your dreams and do as you wished. As I was completely intrigued by this information I began to research it. I read multiple techniques on how to WILD and none of them seemed to work. I tried for countless days to do this and just failed day, after day, after day. I recall reading one technique where it had stated that you lay on your back, lay straight out, and put your hands by your side. In this technique it had said you could not move at all or you you fail. It had given a certain breathing pattern you had to follow. I can vaguely remember it but I think it was inhale, count to 3, exhale, count to 1, and repeat. It was said to do this about 15 times or more until you feel the room start to spin. As the technique said, when the room starts to spin follow how fast the room spins, and what direction it is spinning in. According to the thread, when the room starts spinning it means you're succeeding and will soon be in a lucid dream.

As the old saying says "practice makes perfect". I was very silly at the time thinking it was such an easy process to do and took little to no effort. Beings I had very little studied lucid dreaming and just jumped in to it, I of course failed the day I had tried. As each day passed, I read more and more about lucid dreaming and tried to get as much information as I possibly could about it. I dedicated almost every day to learning more about it and just keep studying. The more I studied, and the more I tried, I felt like I was getting no where and started to give up. Giving up was a huge mistake, and I should have never done this. If you believe you can achieve something, and you try hard enough, you will accomplish it! As every day, week, and month went by I completely forgot about the whole thing. I continued my every day life for about 4 months until everything for me changed one day. (I will tell you in a bit)
As I said earlier, when I first discovered lucid dreaming I thought I knew everything about it. When in reality I only knew a tiny portion of it. I had thought lucid dreaming was specifically where you could control your dreams. Little did I know there was more to it. I thought I never had a lucid dream before, and I never would. As time went on I realized that lucid dreaming wasn't only just the simple fact of controlling your dream, but it was also that you were conscious, and knew that you were dreaming. I had found out that I had lucid dreams countless times! No, I could not control my dreams, but sometimes I could tell that I was asleep and that I was dreaming. Which is basically the dumbed down definition of lucid dreaming: "You are semi-consciously awake and know that you are dreaming.". A lucid dream isn't just about controlling your dream, but it's also knowing that you're dreaming. If you had once known you were dreaming, then you had a lucid dream!
There are different layers of a lucid dream, and the 4th layer is being consciously awake in your dream, and controlling it. I'm not really going to get in to explaining the other layers. As I was saying earlier, I thought I would never lucid dream and just completely gave up.
But then, one day, my life completely changed. When I stopped trying to lucid dream and gave up I completely forgot about the whole thing and never really thought about it again. But one day, I was asleep and was having a regular dreaming, nothing special. But usually, 9 times out of 10 I don't dream(I know I dream, I just never remember it and I think I just see darkness until I wake up.) but this time I was actually having a dream, that I could see and remember which is very rare for me. As the dream went on, I suddenly realized that I was dreaming and thought to myself "omg this is the first step of a lucid dream". Within the dream I had remembered the technique about when the room starts spinning you're about to be in a lucid dream. So with me thinking this in the dream, I started to imagine the room spinning and I followed the speed, and direction of the spin. Everything happened within 3 seconds and then BAM.
Can you guess what happen? Yep, you're probably right. Sleep paralysis. I have not once in my life read about sleep paralysis, heard about it, or studied it. Anyways, when the sleep paralysis hits I still think it's a dream; but this is no dream, it felt like a nightmare(Keep in mind I haven't had a nightmare in at least 3 years. Although I probably have but never remembered it as I stated earlier that I don't remember my dreams as much). I start hearing sounds all around me, which kinda sound like demonic screams(it wasn't screams I just don't know how to explain it). I suddenly realize that I'm awake and I have no idea what's going on! I thought this was a lucid dream and I had previously read(earlier when I said I was bored and reading forum threads) when you're in a lucid dream(sleep paralysis) do not open your eyes. While being in the state of sleep paralysis, I remember this being said and didn't want to because the quote that I remembered was "Do not ever open your eyes during a lucid dream. You will see some very creep s*** and it will be enormously horrifying". But I was completely terrified! I tried moving to jump out of bed, but I couldn't move no matter how hard I tried. I could feel myself laying in my bed. I could feel the position I was laying in, the weight of my blanket on top of me, and which way I was facing. This felt completely real to me and I was deathly scared. As scared as I was, I started panicking trying to open my eyes to see whats there and then I can't even open my eyes! They're glued shut! I try screaming to my parents "Help!... HELP!!.." but I couldn't move my lips. My voice was silenced and I heard myself in my mind screaming helplessly. I then just stop struggling, and lie there in my bed no longer panicking just realizing there is no way out.
After I had done this, I suddenly woke up. The first thing I tried doing was moving my hands but it didn't work. (I think my body was still waking up idk). I try opening my mouth and I couldn't open it. So then, I just kinda make a moan sound to see if I can hear myself and realize I'm not going crazy. I heard it. After I heard it, I sort of stuck my tongue between my lips and then I could talk again. I sit up in my bed just standing there looking at my blanket not really knowing how to process what just happened because I was still terrified. After I was out of my shock I get out of bed and tell my parents what happen. Of course, they said it was a dream and it wasn't real. So I didn't bother talking about it with them after they said so; I just kinda agreed and walked in to my room. After I'm in my room I turn on my computer and go on Google and search "sleeping awake can't move heard sounds?" or something like that I can't remember. After browsing the web for about 20 minutes I realized it was sleep paralysis. I also realized it was sort of a "gateway" to a lucid dream and astral projection. So then, no longer afraid of it, I try to learn on how to induce it. I read blogs, forums, and even watched videos for countless hours. The same day, I learned about astral projection. I read about it a LOT and was far more interested in this rather than lucid dreams(although I still had not had one). So with me already mastering the knowledge of what sleep paralysis was, I was no longer scared of it. After reading all about astral projection I'm like "Hmm maybe I should give this a shot".
So basically, I try WILDing (Wake Induced Lucid Dream) to get in to sleep paralysis. I tried at least 5 times. All the times I tried none of it worked and I was exhausted so I decided to just regularly go to asleep. So as I'm sleeping, I have another clear vivid dream(strange huh?) and the second I realize that I snap in to sleep paralysis. So when I was sleep paralysis, I knew what to expect and knew not to be afraid. When I opened my eyes, I was looking at my wall. So I then try to move just to be 100% sure I was in sleep paralysis. Sure enough I couldn't move. So with me knowing I was in sleep paralysis, I tried astral projecting. I was laying in my bed and thought to myself "imagine yourself sinking out of your bed, as if your sky diving and wind is hitting you as you fall". So I close my eyes, and imagine that. As this was my second time in sleep paralysis, and my first time trying to astral project, I wasn't sure if I was projecting or not. So I open my eyes not knowing what to expect and I'm still there, laying in my bed, not able to move. So I'm like "hmm maybe if I try to move just a bit I'll just pop out". I try moving my left arm as hard as I can and then I woke up, no longer in sleep paralysis.

As of today, (about 5 days from my attempt of astral projecting) I have not even bothered trying to get in to sleep paralysis again. Instead, I have been researching and studying everything just a bit more. I'm planning to try again soon and see how everything goes. But I would like to talk to some people my age or older over Skype and just simply have a conversation about it. (All my friends have no idea what any of this is) and I just want to talk to some people about it. Also, another thing I would like to point out is that I am a Pisces and apparently Pisces's are very spiritual people. I was just wondering if this had anything to do with OBE's/Astral Projection.

If you had made it this far, and read through all of this, I highly appreciate your patience. I would love to hear any opinions on everything spoke about in this thread. If you had any experiences related to mine, I would love to hear about it so post about it on this thread! I look forward to speaking with you guys.

Also, if you guys don't mind, please let me know if I made in grammar mistakes in this thread or if there is something that doesn't make sense. I will correct it as soon as possible.
