I think I did it again

This morning (10 Aug) I had quite the lucid dream, not only was it in color, I was in full complete control, the image was as clear as day, and I think I may have been talking to someone I know from work (and I may have seen a pool of dreams or whatnot.  It was a room that looked like a pool room, however it had sparkling purple points of light  that felt like the essences of all beings).  Anyhow, I did loose focus, but I managed to bring the dream back (with it still flowing!), and after that I decided to try some more obe.  When I got awareness of my room back, I felt vibes again.  Ok, so I treated it like it had a throttle control, and I concentrated on twisting the grip, which in turn accellerated the vibes.  I did that twice, and on the second attempt, I was able to break free momentarily.  I stopped after that because I didn't want to be out for too long, and as I was settling down, I did have my eyes open and everything was in b/w.  Aside from that I notice the normal paralysis, and as I settled down I was able to come out of it.

It sounds to me that I have made progress without really trying to.  What does everyone else think?

I leave the house today and I won't be back untill Sunday.  Thanks in advance.

Well, this morning after I went back to sleep (had a busy day yesterday and woke up very tired), I remember something odd.   I did however attain lucidity very quickly, and the scenery went white and I woke up.  Something didn't quite seem right, but when I concentrated, I felt this weird wavering feeling, and somehow it allowed me to roll over without really "rolling over".  I did it twice, but somehow afer the second attempt, it faded back into a dream where if I were to concentrate on the wavering thing again, it turned an old analog console tv on (but not off) which was weird.

Could that have been an obe?  When I opened my eyes it seemd a little weird, and I couldn't move my body when I was "rolled over".   Very very weird.

I've been interested in OBE and AP for about 4-5 years now, and I STILL haven't done it yet.  The farthest I've gone is the occasional conscious dreams.  I've tried the tecniques I find, but it's super hard.  Especially on the nights where my brain is a complete ADD case (which I'm borderline of).

Any tips on doing this with a racing surface mind?  It gets harder as I drift deeper into trance, and the thoughts pour in with quite the pressue, and it seems like I can't silence it.

Welcome to Dreams! / Quick question

It's hard to now that the temporary file has been lost

OLED = Organic LED  Think of the clear plastic things in sci-fi movies that display a computer output or video.  New emerging technology :)

From what I can recall, the display flashed headlines (again can't remember explicit details) of events that have yet to happen.  That is all I remember, I dunno if it had anything to do with the world or my famliy.  Wait now that I'm thinking more of it I do remember the logo for the family business popping up quickly, but that's about it.  www.curtislumber.com to see what it looks like.

Sarah -- CBS (Colombia Broadcasting Service) is one of the major television networks in the US.  Not one of the first, NBC (National Broadcasting Service) was the first, with a local tv station of mine the first commercial station, was then an affiliate of NBC, became CBS in 1982.
Early Edition is a show were a normal guy from Chicago is visited by a mysterious cat who arrives with Tomorrow's newspaper, Today.  He tries to correct the bad headlines by trying to stop the event from happening or change the outcome somehow.  It was a great show IMO.  That is why I said my dream was similar to that show

I'm wondering what it means.....  I dunno if it affirming my spontaneous yet rare just knowing what's gonna happen in 2 seconds, or something I'm missing completely.

Must be I state better than I ask! lol

Welcome to Dreams! / Quick question

One quick question (God I haven't posted on this board in a while!)

I had a dream the other night that had the odd similarity to the old show "Early Edition" on CBS, however, it wasn't a newspaper, it was an OLED type display that constantly flashed articles of events that haven't happened yet.  I didn't get a hard download of what the headlines were, but it sure was wierd.  I have been having a lot of odd dreams lately, some of which I'd like to gain lucidity in, but that's another story

This concern of mine has always been at the back burner untill now...
For most of my life, I have had a very high interest in things that pull my attention, such as technology, astronomy, and more recently, metaphysics, am stereo, and other things that I'd have a high interest in for short periods of time, like old phone number exchange names.
I have also had social issues in school, but I tend to belive it was all the crap shot at me by the bohemians in my class (i only had very few friends in my local school, but quite a few in the spec ed school i went to).  I also had tizzies when things didn't go the way I wanted it to go (typical kid) and such.

I've been diagnosed with ADD, which I think that whoever diagnosed me should be re-educated an slapped with the DSM-IV R.  People also said that I have "tendencies" for OCD, which I know is a bunch of bull.
Even though I do have obsessions about my weight (which is a good one to have), my cars, computer etc. etc., OCD is manly repetitions, like the fear of your house blowing up, so you constantly check your natural gas/lp lines and/or fuel oil, or fear that you are not clean, so you constantly wash yourself.  Yeah, so what if I had a rough childhood?  It doesn't mean I have any disability.

What I want to know is, if I might have a mild case of Asperger's.  My psych teacher pointed it out and said that I should look it up.  I don't have the autism part, but I do have giftedness (IQ is 145).  I need some people's opinion.  I really don't think I have AS, but I dunno..... (Note: I had college-level reading skills since like 4th grade, and the reason that I was put under SE and sent to an SE school was because of my high intelligence and being a higher level that most kids in my class).  I know I shouldn't be letting this control my life, but......

I was sitting in the car during lunch today at work, and I decided to try an OBE again.  What I did, was I concentrated on my breath for like 10 minutes after I shut my radio off, and my body started to feel like it was solid and blending with my surroundings.  After that, I felt all shivery after I started experiencing REM.  I almost felt like I was on the roof of the car as well.  Actually, for a split second--now that I mentioned it-- it did feel like I was on the roof of the car.  After I snapped out of it, I felt like I was hit by a truck.  I'm asking if I did everything right.  I would love to have a "dissociative session" as my psych teacher put it.

Why is this damn server not keeping me logged in? I have my browser to automatically log in here, yet when I click on files, it logs me out and crap.   I'm logged in now, but it seems weird how it does it

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Alternate Calendars
April 03, 2004, 19:46:47
What do people think about alternate calendars?

Aside from your typical Gregorian, Julian, Hebrew, and MJD calendars

I just found out about the 13/28 (13 Moon/Month) calendar, and it seems pretty useful.  The only downside with it in NA is that you would continually need to rely on the Gregorian calendar to calculate Christian holidays on the 13/28 calendar (Christmas would be the same day of the week every year)

What's nice about it is that it is 13 months broken up in to 28 days.  13x28 is 364, so you have one day that is not in any month or week.  It also starts when Sirius rises with the sun, July 26th (like most historical calendars.  7/26-7/24 plus 7/25 equals 365

The biggest thing about it is it's basis is on the Mayan system.  I can't explain alot about it but the site that explains it the best is www.tortuga.com

Apparently, there are some countries that use this calendar, including Brazil and Japan.  And interesting enough, this organization wants the calendar in place by 7/26/04, or the start of the next year in the 13/28 calendar.  They say that the current calendarial system is artificial and arbitrary (which I believe it is, I mean come on, 30 days hath November, September, June, and April.  31 the rest of the months, exept February which can have either 28 or 29 days?  I like the fact that it is calibrated for the seasons and Christian holidays, but some things don't really add up. We don't have a solar period of 366 days, it is 365.2422 days, not really a 1/4 day.  And the day, is not 24h but 23h 56m)and that the 13:20 cycle is more in tune with the natural cycle.  I guess they really lean towards the fulfillment of 12/21/12 if we do not start accepting the 13:20 cycle.  THey say if we do accept 13:20 over 12:60, it will make our enlightenment easier.

I dunno, alot of things are possible, but who knows.  I would love to have even months, and two days off of work for the new year including national holidays, but it would be difficult as the aggregate to switch from a widely accepted calendar in which an entire civilization uses to run their lives to one in which is easier to calculate what day falls when, and gives you a freebie day to remember the year and celebrate.

Unsure where to post this but here goes----

Last night I had a wierd type of dream
I was stading in the kitchen next to the back door, and something peculiar was amidst the morale of the area
If I remember correctly, I went to the door cuz I felt something wanting to come in, like one of my 1/2 dozen cats
and I felt this surge of evil energy go thru me when I touched the door, and I was like OMG Eww.  It totally freaked the hell
out of me

I dunno if it was an OBE since the area were I was was very close to the southeast end of the house, the only diff was a light was on and I think the av center was blaring with some channel.  I'm still trying to figure out that evil energy.  Is there evil energy around me trying to get into me, freak me out, or something?  It felt totally wierd, not right, and evil.  I soon after woke up still infront of my computer, but with my feet close to me, when you bend your knees up.  I felt wierd thruout the day.

Cicadas don't bother me, I like hearing them buzz

Yes, I have to agree about the black flies, they seem to be lasting a bit longer than usual, and they're mixed in with the skeeters, so it's hard to pick them out

It's already starting to be DEER FLY SEASON!!!  Those little nasty things pack quite the bite!  Freaking feels like you're being stung.  It's quite funny driving down thru my back fields and watching them cluster around the mirrors.  Just mske sure you wear 100% deet when you go thru an area with deer flies!

Jesus did enter the city of Jerusalem.  The townfolk did lay down their garments and cut down palm branches before the Lord as he walked on all of that into the city.  He did have the last supper.  He did convince Judas to own up to his treasonous acts.  Pontious Pilate did convict Him and crucified Him.  Jesus did go up on the hillside, carrying the cross to his fate, and did it WILLINGLY.  He did die on the cross, was put into the tomb.  Mary Magdalene and the other Mary did go see Him, and He was not there.  He did tell the Mary's to go tell his disciples that He had risen.  And He DID rise unto Heaven and sit at the right hand of his Father, our God the Father Almighty.  It hall happened becasue I BELIEVE it happened.  My faith in Christ and belief that he did die for my sins is the reason why I shall go to Him when I die, so will the rest of my family, and hopefully, everyone else.

[:D]

I'm almost done with my second semester of junior college.  My major is business admin, to prepare myself for when my father decides to hand his business down to me.  We are a lumber/retail operaton [www.curtislumber.com] in upstate NY, so I feel most of my problem lies in the fact that I am very lucky to live in a family that is financially secure.  Yeah, I might have done some stupid things in my life, but I put it all behind me and move on.

JD-- I used to go to the Wildwood School based in Schenectady, Ny if you've ever heard of them. [www.wildwood.edu]  They have three operations, the Curry Rd. Ext. which is their elementary/pre-adolescent program, Goodrich in Latham NY is their adolescent program, and in Niskayuna (still NY) they have their Young Adult Program, which is extended programming from 18-21 yrs which they prepare the students for the real world.  I spent 3 years at Curry Rd. (ugh) and the last three at Goodrich.  It's a good school, I see alot of kids who go thru there seem to fit in with kids of other special needs.

So, yes, I see where you are coming from.  From my stance, I see most schools "demand" that super-smart and intelligent kids who have some sort of social issue (getting along with only kids with the same interests, like myself) be put on ritalin, which is the most asinine thing that could be done.  I had that happen to me, which made things a hella worse than they were.  Schools are not psychologists, so they do not (even tho they act like they do) have the right to say they will not allow a kid to attend unless the parents have their pediatric physician put the kid on ritalin.

[8D] Now I know I'm not alone
I figured there were some people that had the same problem as I had

I've known that I have no disability or syndrome, but I like the idea of the Indigo child.  However, I only fit into a couple of the bullets of the description.

My mother has always said that whatever is in my special ed profile was "just words", and they are.  Apparently, the psychology world has difficulty in assessing unique people with unique ways, such as myself.  I happen to view myself as an enlightened, unique individual, who wants to view and enjoy life as I see fit, not usually what is considered "the norm".

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / REM ?
April 11, 2004, 04:20:35
1. A stage of sleep similar to that of the first stage, or 'light sleep' but not quite as light.  During this stage, the eyes flutter behind the eylids, predominately during dream states, hence the name Rapid Eye Movement, or REM for short

2. A very good 80s/90s alternative group with hit songs such as What's the Frequency Kennith?, It's The End Of The World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine), Losing My Religion, and many others.  Reccomend getting their new album, featuring their new single, Bad Day

3. (useless here, but I'm on a roll)  A command, usually in DOS/Windows 9x startup files, that tells the operating system not to interperet this command while loading, literally "REMove from command string".  Example: REM C:\Windows\Himem.sys

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Alternate Calendars
April 05, 2004, 20:17:56
it is the same.

the only problem with it is that the vatican would have a sh*tfit cuz it conflicts with the calculation of easter.  Easter's easy, find the first full moon after the vernal equinox, and it's the sunday after the full moon, unless the full moon falls on a sunday, then it is the next sunday.  The only other issue is that sometimes Gregorian sunday would not mach the 13 moon sunday, which is also why the vatican prolly shot it down.

I just predicted my near future, and proved that other prediction right!  I get home from work, and the sled trailer is gone.  That tells me that something good will happen in the near future.  My father and I go bring our cars home sometime tomorrow.
