Though there are other Hermetic based books, you have found, or it found you, one of, if not the best to go forward with. It is because of Bardon's work that I feel obligated to respond in this forum..< I suggest to contact Publishers; Ruggeberg-Verlag, Postfach 130844, D-42035, Wuppertal, Germany> and aquire the two other needed books of Franz Bardon,"The Key to the True Quabbalah" & "The Practice of Magical Evocation.
To Know, To Will, To Dare, & To Keep Silent is the motto of all initiates who choose to go forward in this work. Since you have the book,"INITIATION into HERMETICS", turn to page 75 for a lengthy explaination of the above motto. May you succeed on Your Path for Truth.

I have always thought that a true Initiated would never recommend a practice other than searching within oneself.

The "lemming effect" as you said, I suppose you are not so blind after all...right?

Your recommendation is to go ahead with Bardon and to purchase the other two titles which go along with the first one.

Unfortunately, it seems quite plain that Bardon was not a truly Initiated and his teachings come from different sources:

1. Dr. Lomer's Seven Hermetic Letters
2. Ramacharkra's works. The most prominent of these are the: Science of Breath, Hatha Yoga
and Fourteen Lessons in Yogi Philosophy and Oriental Occultism
3. Alexandra David-Neel
4. Beverly Randolph
5. etc. etc

Therefore, to my mind this would also be the "lemming effect", is it not?
