I'm mightily confused.  I've had, for the last...oh...around 4 months but maybe more or less, not more than 6 I should think, a tendency to see things.  for example I can stare at a book I have standing up right next to me on my desk, and see...a shadow around it and outside the shadow, something not unlike light.  it looks like a solar eclipse or something.  then at other times it's just a ring or a halo around whatever object or person I'm seeing it around.  this "light" or whatever it is reminds me of the colors you see when you close your eyes.  the rings around things have no color...well I take that back just now the ring around the book turned blue in one part...recently (last month or two), when I look for it it's been appearing in my vision with my eyes open.  I'm nearsighted and my eyes are supposed to get worse...but other than this they seem fine at arm's length.  I have a friend who's trying to tell me I'm seeing energy or auras or something, and as much as I would like to beleive that, I'm extremely uncomfortable with beleiving it...largely because I want to so much that I'm afraid it could affect my logic and lead me to conclusions that aren't true...I don't want to end up crazy.  I have been working with chakra developement on and off for a few months and the easiest by far to feel is my brow chakra. I can cause pressure and tingling there at will...that could also be some weird control of my sinuses or something...what do you guys think? and if this is something more than bad vision and wishful thinking what do I do to get better at it? little yellow halos are somewhat interesting but not especially useful or informative.

I'm seen those illusions before.  they're all the same size as the object, and they don't move unless you move.
