Like CaCoDeMoN said it could be a neg. If you are raped during the dream it could be an Incubus. But if you do not dream of the actual rape than odds are its not.

If it is an Incubus, than simple precautions can be taken as suggested in RB's Practical Psychic Self Defence: Fresh sliced garlic in your room, play soft classical music throughout the night, leave a light on, etc.

According to Gustavus Hindman Miller's Dictionary of Dreams:

For a young woman to dream that she has been the victim of rape, foretells that she will have troubles which will wound her pride and her lover will be estranged.

I just finished reading that book by RB. It has made me aware of the unseen forces but also has made understand how to deal with them. Although I am lucky in not having much neg problems at all. But I am now aware of the overtures they make and I have my defences up now.

Robert Bruce's experience is important in that it showed me the importance of minimizing the negs influence. I hope to be able to help some of the people around me who are at risk.

One risk in all this is that some people may assume that its an all or nothing deal. That all difficult situations are caused by negs. I believe that I have been in some situations in which negs were clearly behind events. Others I cannot see it being more than just life's circumstances.

I think Negs are real, but not all bad things can be attributed to them. Some times the bump in the night may just be the wood creaking, sort of speak.

Here's the story. This guy apparently practiced some black magic a long time ago. As far back as the late 70's. He has had strong teachers and knows his way around black magic. We believe that after his father died he worked his mother and sister into letting have a peice of inheritance that he was not entitled too. Like all this was obtained through black magic, the karmic repercussions have been terrible on this guy. The money went like water and he is now in a worst economic situation than before. His health has also suffered.

Now he seems to be attacking his mother and affecting her health. He has called her twice in the last 6 months. And everytime he calls, she becomes sick for the next week or so. She also claims that she has dreamt of him a lot lately. Specialy when she is sick. Many of the dreams seem to be nightmarish and her sleep patterns are pretty bad. She does not sleep well.

Is there anyway to shield her from these attacks? All help will be apreciated.

Can anyone suggest a physiscal relaxation technique other than the one presented in Astral Dynamics?

A friend contacted me with this question so I need to hear other people's ideas on it.

This 13 year old boy came to me and says he has a full time sense of dual consciousness as described in page 80 and 81 of Astral Dynamics. Unlike the transitional feeling described there this boy has it 24/7.

He has began to meditate and almost imediatley he felt his energy body expand. He claims that one time his body expanded BEFORE meditating. He walks around in a mind-split daze. He is very uncomftrable with it and wants help. But he did not want to come ask for help directly.

Now, he is lightly epileptic and his mother is very epileptic. So that might be a reason. Maybe its just his age and the explosive psychic abilities that come with it. I believe if he keeps meditating he should come back into balance. Any suggestions?

My theory is that they can be friends in a groups but they cannot be intimate friends. No heterosexual man can be a heterosexual woman's best friend.

Reasoning:
While men do not necesarily need emotional intimacy to sleep with women, having sex makes it easier for a man to be emotionaly intimate with a woman. On the other hand, women can be emotionaly intimate with a man without having sex, but emotional intimacy makes it easier for a woman to have sex with the man.

If you have one without the other, someone is getting hurt, speacially when one of them goes out on a limb and gives what the other needs.

- If a guy sleeps with a woman and she expects an emotional response from him and does not get it she is hurt. The guy would say: "We have a F**k-Buddy relationship."

- If a woman becomes emotionaly intimate with a man and he expects this intimacy to become a sexual romance, and it doesn't he gets hurt. She would say something like :"I love you, but as a friend."

So, if a guy becomes emotionaly intimate with a woman, he will probably develope feelings for her and she will give the well know, "lets be friends" line.

He gets hurt. And friendship must be cut off or continue awkwardly. Therefore they can't be close friends.

Of course this theory of mine, does not take into account playing the field and casual sex. Just trule emotional involvment.

So I'd like to hear opinions. So I can either dump the theory or refine it.

[NOT FEAR DEATH]

I believe that one thing we should all learn in the practice of OBE, AP, meditation, and many of the stuff being taught in this website is to NOT FEAR DEATH. We should also not fear living either. But my whole point is: So what if the world ends? Its not like its the end of the universe, which is our real home. This earth is just a piece of turf we tread on. Even if this 2012 deal is not like one of the many dates given before for the end of the world that tdid not happen, you should be OK if you are seeking your spirituality.

I believe we should not fear death. The spiritual knowledge we all look for in our different paths, practices and methods should lead us towards the happines of not fearing death!! [] Without this fear, our short lives are a lot sweeter. If death is the worst thing that can happen, SO WHAT!! If our path is good we should be fine when an asteroid hits, or floods come in, or when poles shift.

STOP FEARING DEATH SO YOU CAN ENJOY LIFE!!!

After reading it I got excited again about AP. Read it a few months back and since then I began to do my AP/OBE excercises again. I'm starting to see progress this time. So I am grateful to this novel for getting me excited about AP again.

Not sure if it was and LD or OBE because I ran into the door and it was solid. This is what happened:

I woke up around 3:30am this morning. Too early for coffee so I got myself comftrable again and tried to get back to sleep. All the time I kept repeating to myself: "I'm out of my body." I repeated that sentence until I fell asleep. And all of the sudden I fell asleep but was still conscious. (I guess it would be a Wake Induced LD). But I did not realize it had happened until I began, for some reason, to think about a sucubus. All of the sudden I felt the vibrations and thought I had summoned one. So I told myself "F--k this sh#t!" And jumped up out of bed (first sign I was LD or OBE, can't do it normaly). I "ran" to the kitchen. On my way there I tried turning on the light of my room and the switch did not work (second sign). I got to the kitchen, where the light was on. (I think I had tried to turn that switch.) The cat looked at me. And I tried to go through the door but it was solid, so I'm questioning if it was an OBE. Although I do think it was an OBE. WHat ya think.

Energy exercises such as NEW have been a difficult thing for me until last night. The reason was that the cobweb feeling (a very strong itch on the face) during these exercises was unberable and at times painful. They felt like pinpricks on my skin. The change came when I stopped conceptualizing them as pinpricks but as  energy plumes coming OUT of my pores. The feelings where still there last night, but they were very easy to ignore.

[Why don't I go through a traditional broker?]

I have a piece of real estate property I'd like to sell. I'd like to get US$650,000.00. (About fair value). I offer $50,000.00 (above standard 7.5% brokerage fee) to be wire transfered to whomever helps me "broker" the deal.

Why don't I go through a traditional broker? In my country, the current real estate cycle is in buyer's-market mode, so I would not get what I want. And I do not NEED to sell it, but I can also see I can get a better return on asset somewhere else.

SO what I want is for a buyer to come to me with an offer of said amount in one lump payment, without me having to advertise. Once I get the deal finalized I will wire transfer the money to whomever did the work.

How will I know who casted the spell? You tell me.

I do not want Black or evil Magik used. It is a fair price for the property so I would only need for a buyer to be pursuaded to offer, not forced. I want to liquidate my asset, not get a karmic liability.

Yeap! I did it! And here is how it happened:

I was dreaming of something or another, when in it I got a kiss on the cheek. This kiss felt like a psychic attack so I did some energy manipulation and the entity "ran" away. But I was left in full lucidity within my physical body. So I laid there for sometime analysing my "battle". Then I wiggled my way out of my body and Tada, I was out. I poked my head out the window as a reality check. My head went through the glass no problem. So I sat back into my body and tried to awaken myself so I could remember. (Kept it real short, 5 seconds!) But in trying to awaken I popped out again. This time I did a reality check by tapping my reading light and, although it felt solid, it did not come on. I then checked if there had been a power outage. First I looked for my alarm clock but I could not see the LEDs, so I floated to the door and saw light coming from under it. I turned around and saw my physical body under the covers. I stepped in and woke up. After reenforcing the experience into my brain by going over it. I got up and open the door ant the lights were indeed on.

So there you go! It all felt real and not as hazy as an LD. The only doubt I have is about the solid lamp and that I could not see the LEDs on my alarm clock. But overall I'm pretty confident that it was not an LD.

I have been reading in the last week or so in this forum the concept of just letting OBE happen on itself without forcing the process. A "do nothing" approach, as someone put it. Also another member suggested a method for trance induction that is very similar to selfhypnosis (Mind awake body asleep affirmation with visualisation). I tried it and it works great.

So I was wondering if could program myself via self-hypnosis to better prepare myself for OBE once the bridge between consciousnes and sleep has been reached. Maybe even program a triggering mechanism that would automatically project me out. (Wile E. Coyote like [])

Just an Idea I had. I'd like to here anyone's opinion on this. I will experiment with it and see what's what.

I was wondering if this is any problem:

For the last week or so I have been getting some spontaneous activity in my navel chakra in the form of pulsating bubles, like a nervous tick, while working, walking and even driving. I also got some spontaneous activity in my heart chakra, in the form of an apparent coffee induced rapid heart beat. I also did get a little activity in my brow chakra in the form of a peculiar pressure headache. Except for the brow headache, I do not mind this activity. Its not uncomftrable or annoying. But I do wonder if a problem can arise from it.

When I do N.E.W. work lately, I've been having to go to sleep in order to get the chakras to settle. Which is fine. This started a week ago, a day after I had a spontaneous partial 3-second OBE (i.e. I stood up from my body but was stuck in the legs).

Like I said, I do not mind this activity. My gut tells me it is no big deal and I should be fine. But Still I'd like some of your opinions on the matter.

Fear is everyone's worst enemy. But the more you fear the greater you chances of bumping into negs. When you do, just tell them to f_ck off and scratch their eyes out, kitty kat.[] They usually do. We all deal with that fear. Poitivity is the best way to avoid it. Concentrate on the fun stuff you can do out there.

I agree with Jeffs Statement.

When you are OBE you KNOW IT. It is lot clearer than a LD. And people do leave after images of themselves. So the images of your Aunt could be that: Afterimages.

A good way to start is the pendulum.

This is a good topic at first. Then it goes into some infighting over some stuff about aliens, who can be guides. (I know. It sounds funky.) So just read the first parts. Anyway is too long to read all the way through.

I got in contact with my guide with it. I don't use the pendulum much anymore. Now the contact feels like a strong hunch. I just let it happen. I do not ask questions and expect an awnser immediatly, cause that can be myself deciving me. I just put out a question and the awnser comes when I least expect it but when it is needed the most. Some people can actually hear their guides. I don't.

Another way I hear that works is "psichic writting" which is just relaxing and let your hand write whatever it feels like. I have never tried it myself.

FALSE LOGIC

How can you be certain of the acuracy of the oral tradition if there is no written record to back it up. Or at least other oral traditions that back it up. The four gospels where allegadly written by four of his followers. Why is there no independent version of the events in the NT. As far as I know, there where more gospels but they gave different versions and conclusions. And since the followers to whom the 4 gospels are attributed where present at the events, they should have recorded it ASAP while the events where fresh in there minds without time and emotions clouding the facts.

As to Oral tradition as a means of historical record, one must remember that oral tradition holders where paid to entertain with their stories (i.e. minstrels or their like), therefore one must assume that the stories where given a more entrataining and profitable spin. Plus when it comes to middle eastern cultures, they had even better written tradition then the west. Plus you forget that in Judea at the time, the Romans where in power. They where known for there exahustivly detailed written record keepers, yet the bible does not contain any version of Roman records of the time for the Judean province.

As far as I know all the books of the new testament where written several decades after the fact from oral accounts. And if you ever been involved in gossiping, you know how badly stories get changed after just a few tellings.

All the mythology in the new testament is just that: MYTHS. Many forms of them can be found in modern urban legends and conspiracy theories.

They say Elvis is alive, and some claim to have seen him. I remember in the early 80's some said that Bruce Lee had not died in 1973, but he was hidding and would come back in 1983 (sound familiar?).

Unfortunatley no one was taking notes when the historical Jesus was on earth. All we have is hearsay and gossip. Urban Legends and Myths used by the Roman Empire (read The Vatican) to control people. Remember how the Romans would integrate local deities into the Roman Pantheon? Similar to what the Catholics as they moved into new lands, only the local deities were made Saints and Martyrs.

NEW AGE Movement failed back in the early 90's because people bagan to listen to other people's idea in preference to their own. All spiritual "movements" that become somewhat organized fail because spirituality is a personal search.

The last movement I belonged to failed me. That move ment was christianity. Too much emphasis on morality and not on spirituality.

As for the NEW AGE movement, I never "joined" because I like my Sweat & Sour Pork too much. I also like a nice glassful of Chivas, or a good bottle of Merlot. I do like incense though! []

What I do is this:

When I find myself lucid and am drawn back to my body, I believe I do not fully wake up. At least my body is still asleep. So if I allow myself to relax and not move a muscle for a few moments (a minute or 2) I can then attempt an exit. I have been succesful a few times. Sometimes I only get a partial exit. Other times my body does wake up.

Also you can try seeking the vibrations at this point by whatever means works best for you. Also avoid thinking of other things. Concentrate on exiting your body. I find that repeating to myself something like "I'm out of my body" helps me get vibrations and makes exit easier. You can do this affirmation at that point or even before going to sleep. This will cause you, on ocassions, to have a lucid dream more conducive to OBE.

This works great if, like me, you have problems getting a full deep physical relaxation while awake, which makes conscious exits almost imposible.

If God, The Universe, The Whole, or whatever you want to call it had to be athropomorphic, and it had to have a gender, it would be female.

Its similar to the concept of the Middle Way in buhddism. Its trives not to make a judgement between good and evil. It just trys to find its way through the ebbs and flows of positive and negative enrgy in the universe. It goes "Beyond Good and Evil" , to borrow from (an unlikely source) F. Nietzsche.
