So this morning after a wierd dream, I awoke somewhat energetic but still relaxed and ended up trying the rope technique.  Within 10 seconds, I started hearing major hallucinations, and it scared me at first but I kept climbing.  I finally got Astral sight, and rolled right out of my body.  Everytime this happens I don't think I enter the real-time zone, but some place closely related.  It seems I can see part of the physical world and part of peoples thoughts and desires.  Like I'll see furniture disorganized in strage places, my g/f looking around the room for me (she'll be at college at that time) and other people in my house just wondering around mindlessly.  Also when I started shouting for clarity because my vision wasnt good, it sharpened up and breath-taking patterns unfolded along the wall.  Also, wherever I think about going to I end up.

Is there any info on this kind of level of projection?  Any similar experiences?  Tips for going to a higher level from this?  Thanks for all the help guys[:D]

Well I have been an avid lucid dreamer since I was young, being able to conciously wake myself from nightmares around 8 y/o and it just snowballed from there.  Just within the last year I started getting into it seriously, and started doing cool things like flying, plenty of exploring, and just exhibiting almost total control over my dreams.  I have also experimented with dream aids such as Calea, Wild Lettuce,  Vervain, Mugwort, and even small doses of Datura.

Recently, without taking any dream aids, I have been having upwards of 10 dreams a night and like 5-10 of them are lucid. The wierd part though, was that even in non-lucid dreams, I've started doing all the things I've done in lucid dreams, such as flying, picking up giant things, yelling out commands for my subconcious, meditating, etc...This makes it super easy to become lucid, as thats the only time when I used to do those things so its a no brainer to figure that out.

Its just such a drastic change in my dream mind that couldnt have happened in more than a months time.  Has anyone else had experiences like this?  Is this type of thing common in advanced Lucid dreaming or what?

I have read somewhere about advanced yogi's being concious of the deep sleep, and that it is one of the best experiences.

Recently, before I wake up from a lucid dream, everything will just fade to black.  I am not aware of any body, but I am aware of some movement, but thats all.  I can feel and think, but there is nothing else.  Its similar to just floating on an innertube in the ocean.  It is very peaceful, and tihs usually happens for a few minutes before I wake up.

I have also acheived this state by basically falling asleep in a dream.  It may just be a prolonged transition state between dreams and waking life but who knows.  Any similar experiences, and does this sound like me being concious of my deep sleep for short periods of time?

I've yet to attempt wake induced OBE's because I've just started practicing NEW's energy developing techniques, but that hasnt stopped me from trying in Lucid Dreams.

Five different times I went out of body from a lucid dream. Mostly I just shout out my intention in a dream, something like "Im going to have an OBE now!" One time I awoke in the hallway buzzing violently, and almost immobile. Another time I woke up in my normal body, got ripped away from it and floated toward the ceiling.  The third time I just awoke to find myself floating by my window and immobile.  Another time after shouting my intention, the sky started swirling and I blacked out, and percieved like 20 images of Amanita Muscaria (red capped mushroom) directly (It wasnt like normal seeing, I was unaware of my body or eyes).  Finally Last night, I just focused on going out of body and saw another body forming above mysely, and my conciousness went into that body.  I went in my house and looked in the mirror and I was ghastly, transparent, and my reflection was very hard to look at, and I woke up.

My question is how can I be sure that these aren't just dreams, that they are actual OBE's? Or maybe lucid dreams are a stage in between normal conciousness and the real-time zone (closest non-physical dimension to reality.)

The only thing that will make you go to what you perceive as hell is your fear that your not worthy to belong to a higher place.

any technology significantly more advanced than what we know is indistinguishable for magic.

The best proof for myself I ever came up with was that if you ever have an OBE under the influence of any entheogens (pschedelics etc...), you will feel completely sober, a little confused as to where you are but completely sober, and your brain wouldnt be able to think soberly like that with all of those silly substances in your brain.  So, I think thats enough proof to me that we're not using our physical brains during OBE's.

-Change my setting
-Wake up
-telekinesis
-create things
-Go out of body
-Frollic around carelessly, knowing everything is just a dream

Calea works wonders if used right.  It tastes nasty though so it is best to grind it up and put it in capsules using some kind of capsulator.  If I take 2g's worth, that night I will have intense dreams and become lucid a few times, If i take anymore I remember way too many dreams and its hard to piece them together in any kind of order.  Also enhances hypagogic states greatly.
