Firstly, if you can't handle the racing heart then you won't be able to have an OBE. This is normal for the heart to race right before leaving the body. You should have read more on this. Also, I would suggest buying a CD. They're only like $20 and it's completely worth it. It doesn't take years for the CD to work. In fact, the CD worked for me the first time I tried it.

I said off and on over the years i had tried. Maybe 12 times seriously.

i didnt imply that i couldnt "handle it".  It does seem to be hindering my ability to achieve AP, and i just wanted to get reassurances from others that they were experiencing the same thing.

regardless its not going to stop me....i will overcome it.

i did a search on here before i posted this...but ddint get much...or the replies were mostly the same.

im getting a really rapid heart rate before i think im going to leave my body. Its not my heart chakra, its my actual physical heart beat.  i tried tonight, and my heart was beating so fast and hard, i had to stop. In fact, my chest doesnt feel good it was so rapid. AND, i was totally relaxed, not excited at all.

I have been trying AP for a number of years now off and on. Its always been the same. I get near to where i think its going to happen, and my heart rate goes thru the roof.

I have a book i bought a couple years ago, that i only read thru maybe a 1/4 of it. And my step mother just gave me a AP she had that like 30 years old lol.

Anyways, yea, i have half arsed it when it comes to reading an entire book and going thru all the techniques. But i have had a feeling for many years that i can do it with out all the technical mumbo jumbo...maybe not eh?

So maybe theres a technique somewhere in the books, which i do intend to read completely. This time, im going to put forth the effort and really try to do it. but the heart rate thing has got me worried.

Ohh and one more thing...the only medcial "condition" i have, is i get heart palipitations every now and then. I do drink 1 cup of coffee everday in morning. but everytime i have tried to AP has been at night. Maybe i should cut out the caffeine anyways?
