Yeah, jub jub! That's the spirit!!!

Let's first take in consideration that when trying to define God, we have to establish very clearly what God is and what God is not. Do not forget that we know about God comes from ancient sources. What we know about these ancient folks is that they did not have our knolwdge and level of understanding. This means that re-interpreting their data leads to incongruencies.

On the other hand please take into consideration the following very used idea that says that we(humans) are more than the sum of our parts(I think this refers to the soul ). Whar if God is more than the sum of the parts that we know of? Wouldn't our logic be wrong?

Please tell me what value/reason/meaning would TIME have if there was NOTHING whose decay/change/demise is observed/measured as ... the effect of time passing by. (Vice versa is totally different : space without time means eternity) Actually let me ask you: "How do you define time?". Believe me, you cannot give me a complete definition of that. So not understanding totally what time is, how can we agree that "there was a time when nothing existed"?

Take into consideration that the physical universe(s) that abide the laws of time and space could as easily be some abstract ideas (when reffered to God) that either have no logic(from God's point of view regarding His existance) or God's existance simply cannot be expressed/quantified through seconds and meters(or inches  ) just like watter cannont be measured in Volts!!!

I think that God is like a 4D (or 1000D) being would be to us the 3D beings. OK for the sake of argument let's say that God is a 4D being. We couldn't understand or even see completely a 4D being even if it were right in front of us!
And, for the sake of argument, what if that 4th dimmension is somenthing so radically different from the other 3 dimmensionsof ours, that would make God such a different entity? Would it make any sense to still try to understant who/what He is???

I think trying to understand God is something pretty difficult for us humans... 

I have quite a few ideas but I need time for them...

For example I have heard that Artemisia Absinthium(it is not illegal) which is more commonly known as Wormwood (I think) is good at amplifying the vividness of the dreams. IDK if that also facilitates lucidity or OBE. I drunk a tea made from it but maybe I was too tired to remember anything. I generally don't remember dreams. On the Erowid Vault they say that an extract from this plant might have stronger effecs, but tread well, the active substances from AA might be poisonous! Also contains Thujone!

Another thing I found out on the net is the flying ointments which are recepies used from ancient times by the witches. Didn't tried though.

There is also Salvia Divinorum, but for many of you might be illegal. Didn't try yet.

I heard of Mugwort but never tried, I dont even know if I can find it around here. A good place to start searching for is a tea shop, but they are so confused by the botanical names of the plants, and the popular names are even more confusing.

Nickspray please let me know how did you actually take Mugwort. Was it tea? Smoking it?

You are perfectly right regarding the implications and dealing with different aspects. But what I meant is not the technological part that may arise problems. It's the fact that maybe neither you nor me knows anything about the physics of a time travel. It's like when they said that you cannot fly with a machine that is heavier than the air. But they did not take into consideration(because they didn't know about it) the phenomenon of portance(IDK if that is the word in eng.). The air pressure above the wing is lower than below it.
I read a lot of things about time travel which puzzled me for many years now, but we don't learn in school may things about that. 
Regarding the movies... hmmm I know each of them has a flaw in the logic and sometimes contradict themselves. That's why I love them but not judge them anymore.
e.g. I read an interesting post on another forum about teleportation: including the soul "variable" into this equation would turn a teleporting chamber into a death chamber... you can't order the soul to inhabit the new body created in another place of the space as a result of the teleporting that physical body away.

But in the light of AP and OBE, StarTrek(which I happen to like sooooo much) would become a nonsense. I would be such a waste of resources to travel at Warp5 with your physical body when you can instantly "teleport" your astral body there  !!!

I am interested to know about herbs, substances, or other ways that worked for you in attaining or helping attain an OBE.

I tried a Arthemisia Absinthium(said to help with more vivid dreams) tea last night, but nothing happened. Maybe I was too tired.   

I also tried a "mind awake-body asleep" technique on more occasions. No luck so far. 

Last week I started with binaurals but it may be too early for any succes.

Please post any methods, no matter how hilarious, awkward or strange, that worked for you. Many thanx!

the quantic physics found a way to avoid this paradox. so they say that if one would kill a relative in the past, an alternate timeline would be developed (idk why one would have so much power) so when you come back eather you end up in the alternate present or in the normal present where things are the same.

one more thing is that you don't exactly have access to a time machine, and your body remains in the normal time. if you create an alternate timeline... well it's logical that there would be 2 physical bodies awaiting for just 1 astral body to come back... but we have to also consider that killing ones (grand)parent would automatically result in not being borned - in that alternate reality so one will come back home in the very personal physical body.

related to the memories... idk. it may also be created a loop of causality just like the grandfather paradox. logics may not apply as what we consider logic with our limited knowledge on the subject might be illogical in fact. time travel might have implications that we cannot even comprehend.

The most important question that simply arises is the following:
can you modify the timeline?
still if you could, I suppose there would be no way of knowing it because the altering would take effect, and the new you would have no memory of the alternate (not modified) you...
I guess I am entering into another subject that not even the cuantic physics is able to answer for sure...
still I am interested in you opinions and/or experiences. so please continue 

one more question for kurtykurt42: how can you know for sure if the past or future are from alternate realities/parallel universes or not? and more, if one knows even in part his possible future, doesn't mean that is not gonna happen for that reason? (I hope I'm making any sense here... it's a bit late 4 me )

Dear all, I hope I don't repeat a question already asked/answered. If so please just reply sending the link.

Since I'm new with this OBE/AP thing, I was thinking:

a) we OBE each night when we are dreaming.
b) it is possible to travel into the past or even to the future while being out of the physical body
c) you can't possess somebody else's body (at least that's what I heard - except in the case of mediums        that allow that)

BUT...

Is it possible to transfer your consciousness into YOUR OWN BODY from the past or from the future and animate it doing whatever you want with it, while it would normally be asleep? (something like "The Butterfly Effect" kind of thing)?

Anybody done that?
