Welcome to Dreams! / Fake Dreams?

Hm ... I had a dream that was KIND of like your dream, but kind of not.  It wasnt particularly related to lucid- though I thought it was since I was trying to practice using psi (I'm the supernewbie when it comes to all of this- I really want to do it but I suppose I have no motivation -__-  And I've had perhaps three or four lucids, all particularly short- most which I cant remember now.  I have to create a separate log for my dreams).  It apparantly wasnt though.  Whatever.  Anyway, it was kind of like you were numb throughout the whole thing, or at least near the end?  Numb, semi-aware, but not at all.  Something like that.  Like looking through a glass wall and youre on the side full of water.  Heh.  I'm wondering about this too o_O

In all of my dreams that I remember, there will be at least some color that I remember.  These colors usually will help me remember the dream (I suppose, anyway).  Ill tend to notice them a lot.  Sometimes it might end up that I remember only the kind of color it was though (cool, purple/blue, etc).  Bleh.  I'm too tired to think straight.  Heh, Ive been dreaming with "vivid color" ever since I can remember.  My first "nightmare" as a kid, anyway.  As far as dreaming in color in general ... I cant imagine my dreams not being in color.  I think there is always at least a beige / grey / etc shade to everything (for the dreams that are in the daylight) to my dreams that dont have a lot of definite colors.  Heh, when it comes to the few lucid dreams Ive had (at least I think they were lucid ... weird feeling), the "intensity" of the colors didnt change much.

a) What was your first impression when you came across this site ?

Well, first first time I ever came here, I dont think I looked at it too much.  I wasnt quite looking for forum topics ... I forget the topic I was writing for.  The first time I actually came here for the forums, I was reading through a few threads and was like "wow, these people are hella smart."  So I joined up.  It's like ... innate.

b) How easy was it for you to post a topic ?

I honestly havent posted my own topic, only replied to other topics.  And that in itself is hard.  Ill usually feel fine with forums ... but with this particular forum, it's extremely different (my other forums are all gaming and design centered) and the people are so different.  So honestly, I havent felt too comfortable posting anything- both now and then.

c) How did you feel afterwards ?

"Regret?"  "Embarassment?"  Eh.  I feel dwarfed. :P Lol.  Eep.  No clue.  Now I mainly stick to reading posts.  Yay, enlighten myself.  Eh.

I'm one of those "anime freaks".  Not particularly a freak actually, I just happen to really like a few different series' here and there- not like I actually buy/dl every single thing out there and watch it ¬¬ This username comes from the series called "Serial Experiments Lain".  There's a character called Lain in there, the main character- who has "multiple hers".  Bah, confusing anime.  Too much to explain.  Anyway, a friend of mine mentioned how much I acted like both the original Lain and the "wired" Lain, and I guess it just caught on.  I seriously need a new alias though.  It tends to be annoying as a lot of people online like to have that username.  Feh.

Welcome to Dreams! / Journals?

I've been writing for a long time in my journal, but I still need to set aside a personal dream journal.  I like to write it on the computer, since my hand cramps easily when I write for a while.  I seem to have an easier time remembering what the dream was for at least a while, unless I get completely distracted (and thus have no time to think about it).  In that, if it's the morning and my parents are out, I'll run downstairs and start typing it up on my computer.  I tend to leave my computer on all day and night, so it's set for me if I want to type it up in the morning.  Im not sure if it's really helping with the LDs though.  I'm really just starting up (despite that I used to be really interested for short spurts).  I dont think effectiveness would be affected by the medium, but I suppose handwriting may have a minor advantage if you tend to write slower or type faster.  *shrug* Meh.

Also, for the drawings: if you have a tablet or something, you can always draw onto that and insert it into the word document.  Or if your hand is really steady. *shrug*  And memorizing: one way could be to simply write it down and review it a lot, or think about it a lot.  Heh, thinking of that it would be a good idea to start remembering them.  I seem to only be able to remember recurring or ones that definitely stand out well.  -.-;
