My Uncle sent me two intresting photos that he had taken on his digital camera just recently

The first photo is his dog seated next to his cat who was plus 20 years old. The cat died just after this photo was taken. Note the mark to the left of the dog's eye.

The second photo was taken just last week after the dog was diagnosed with heart failure and returned home after a night at the Vet. (i would also like to mention that this dog was most heavily effected after the passing of the cat).Note the orb behind the dog.

These photos might not mean anything but i thought i would share them. Im pretty sure my uncle's dog doesnt have long, and i cant help but think its more than coincidence that the dog became ill right after the death of his friend.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Mystic Web

yep, i have his wavs and course files saved on my computer, they offer some different techniques and approaches, it may help keep you focused if you do a class but the guy who runs it is kinda weird.

Lines~ i think you need to do more research on AP and OBE (they are the same thing). you can project into into the RTZ (Real Time Zone, your bedroom, ect) or into the astral where thoughts and dreams rule. Just because the setting doesnt exist here on earth doesnt mean you cant project to an imaginary/fantasy place and not be "dreaming" or unlucid as you put it. I suggest you read up of the other great posts on the subject, the possibilities are literally endless when your out of body =)

*is now afriad of astral nuts above all other astral locale*

i have a dog that kicks me in his sleep- i think it gets more REM time then i do not to mention it hogs the bed

Dont worry, im just as dorky as all you guys (I think im gonna try that reboot idea ~ I luv that show, hehehe)

Ive been wanting to visit hogwarts and not to mention a few other fantasy lands, Zelda is one i will add to my list =D

As far as imagination, i have summoned characters from my own fantasys (mostly because i know they are all friendly) but i havent been able to talk with them yet for whatever reason..

Im curious to know if these "universes" exist when we are not there as well. I think they do. I remember someone talking about how the Harry Potter universe is quite elaborate and vivid (probably because millions of children have read and dreamed of the place) I would think it to be like a belife system- sort of hovering up there =)

Well, sadly I can't really report any success over the weekend though I did have an obe shortly after I had read the announcement for the meeting (I was thinking about it all week)

Any ways I reported part of this on an earlier post because i had questions on my difficulties
But it may be relevant to this topic

I do remember someone leading me out of my dorm room and through the window, I flew (with extreme difficulty- I remember calling out for assistance because I got all turned around) to some sort of clearing in a forest in front of a modern house (I have no idea where I was) and a few friendly people were standing around and I felt them to be other projectors I also felt strong feelings they were people who are from this and other forums (but maybe I just happen to interpret that all projectors chat on this page..Teehee  ) either way I felt they were definitely more experienced being out of body and that they were waiting for more people so we could make a plan and go off somewhere else.... shortly after this I black out so whether or not I continued this adventure remains to be discovered....At the time i knew everyone's name but these details are lost now, but i cleary remember one that began with a "K"

Cant say ive ever made it to the Island though (trust me I have tried a plenty  :) ) I cant wait to try again ;)

Welcome to Astral Chat! / How To Build A Soul
March 06, 2005, 01:24:14
Beavis, you are always so thoughtful and scientific with your posts

I feel like i cant contrinbute too much but i enjoy this subject anyways

I recently gave a report at my college about a doll that became self-aware because its owner would talk to it for hours on end for years straight (almost his whole life actually) Therefore the doll took on his personalities and his negativity....there is also a theory involving use of a soul stone (crystal or some sort of enchanted object) that has the power to imbune any inanimate object with life (i guess this is some kind of juju or vodoo practice)
http://www.horrorchannel.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=8&page=1

As far as building souls, i believe you could do it, i suppose you would have to truley love something to make it self aware.....

Anyways i cant help but post a quote a friend told me just the other day, (he is a deist)  "God is the architect and we are the masons"
something to think about since you mentioned "building souls" :D

this is interesting, i know nothing about phasing so i tried it out last night (hard to keep your mind from wandering)

Actually i was more successful in relaxing with this then any other methods

thanks for the post =D

"An already deceased love one, perhaps just wants to help, in the Astral. So I suppose if you have no family or loved ones that have passed away in this life, you won't have any astral help."

-What about past lives? *sorry i just had to throw that out there*  :D

Well, ive met people who have tried to help me get places but ive never felt a deep connection or anything...

But i was kinda raised on the idea of guides, so i would like to think them real, i dont think they necassarily have to be different indiviuals, perhaps just facets of your (higher?) self but if you dont need/want them or dont ask for them i dont think they will come...

You should be happy that your comfortable with the astral, i sure could use the help

*just went though brother's metal collection*

In Flames - Check!

Amorphis - Check!

Lamb of God - Check!

Deftones - Check!

Tool - Check!

Burzum  - Check!

Opeth - Check!

Dimmu Borgir - Check!

Well, i guess i have a lot to listen too =)
Im already a tool and deftones fan though (A perfect Circle is nice too)

Personally i dont really use music when im trying to do deep trance or AP unless im trying to get relaxed in the first few minutes then i shut it off (i cant stand having stuff on my ears..very distracting),

I think that meta music stuff is nice though, and classical, but thats not rock..... =)

hmmmm, sometimes when i meditate i hear music, it sounds like really deep vibrations and the only thing i could compare it too would be monk chanting so im thinking that would be the best music for me (still havent found anything good yet though at the library)

Great stories u guys!!!! I think i will study up on focus levels..i know so little about them =(

its strange because 2 years ago i practiced everynight and though i came close, never projected, then i gave myself a break and a few months later i projected spontaneously, all my projections are that way, so im never entirely prepared for them

even stranger i still havent concentrated like i used to but lately ive been waking in the RTZ lying in my bed (it takes too much effort to get up) and ive lost the will to ever take off (but when im awake i desire it its like i change my mind in this state and back out) Its like im afraid or two tired to do it. These last few night ive been aware in this state but some force prevents me from lying in bed, now a voice calls me and coaxes me out but it sure took that poor voice alot of time to convince me....i think im just groggy (its midterm week..blah) im very exaughsted.
#13
Does anyone else have their experience go down the tubes towards the end of the projection? I have this problem of not waking up right away after the experience, and my mind drifts straight back into dreams
For example:

Last night I had probably one of my most adventurous projection to date. I usually hang around my house in the RTZ because for whatever reason I'm not experienced enough to leave without balcking out, and finally I'm visited by a voice (no spirit has ever approached me before) that leads me outside and we fly to this meeting place in the hills where other "people" are waiting but after that I cant remember details and this is why I think that is...

I woke up immediately afterwards to record the incident but to my annoyance it was a fake wake, which meant I was really dreaming and of coarse this led to other mindless wonderland episodes. I think I had two un-lucid dreams before I really woke up and by then it was terribly hard to remember the original projection....

This always happens, i think im awake and i actually dream of writting down my dreams, its like some horrible oxymoron, I wish my body would do what I command it and get the heck up instead of falling back to sleep =P

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Meeting Yourself
February 22, 2005, 02:51:34
Robert Monroe talks about simultaneous lives in one of his books (i think his second)

If i remember correctly he was told by a spirit guide that he has a female counter part that would feel like a long lost sister if they were ever to meet...

and as far as this "so no it is not possible because there is already enough people on this earth....lets not double it......"

Our population is growing exponentionally, this is another topic but some feel not enough souls could possibly fill all the births so double lives can happen...but this is a whole other topic =(

I have no real opinion about this, but i believe its a possibility =)

I hate that heavy feeling, like your made of lead and cant sit or get up, normally i have to grab something blindly and pull myself out of bed and to the floor (im literally in a crawling stage)
Good start though, not sure what the walking feeling would be.....

lol- my brother keeps on joking about that
he wanted to make a "free robert" website-
the idea of a demonic doll walking free...oh the possibilities

hmmm, well i think your not too far off when u say "perpetuating the legend", they say the more you beilive or think of something the more energy it gets, thats why they think the doll is becoming more active.

Ive read some more about ghost seekers who have visited Robert. They say he is an extremly oppressive spirit, hes very mad about something...

Im sure the doll was a result of the original Roberts mental problems, after talking to the doll so much i think he put alot personality in it. Perhaps the doll has ill will because its owner used it as a scape goat, letting it take the balme for all his bad behavior and qualities, like an evil double...

very scary

Hello, i saw this story mentioned on the travel channel the other night and it was so terribly interesting that i did some more research and decided to summarize the arciticles here for your reading pleasure. Personally i beilive this kind of phenomenon does exist, and after learning much about thought forms on this site i wonder if it is possible to create a malevolent being as powerful as this. I know its long but give it a chance, its a good story.

Note:Some parts of the story are told differently depending on the source so i did my best to make this as close to the real accouant as possible, there links to some of the articles are posted at the bottom. There are also pictures of Robert on these sites, check them out!

"The structure known now as The Artist House was built in 1898 by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Otto. By many accounts, they were well-off but abusive toward their servants (slaves purchased from the Bahamas). One serving girl who had been badly mistreated and was apparently versed in the arts of voodoo gave their son, Robert Eugene Otto (called Gene by his friends), a straw doll that resembled Robert and stood about three feet tall with most likely, a soul stone. This type of enchantment in some voodoo practices involves a small crystal being placed into an object, thus imbuing it with power by taking a soul of its own. It was to be his companion and friend for the entirety of his childhood. At the time the doll was given to the boy, his sister had recently died, and he was very impressionable. Eugene immediately took to Robert, and gave him his first name and demanded that he be called Eugene from that day forth.
It is said that his parents often heard him upstairs talking to the doll and answering in an entirely different voice.

Eugene would spend hours alone talking to the doll and rarely left it alone. Eugene would occasionally go into rages when he would rip his room apart but when his parents came to investigate he would be holding Robert in his crisp white sailor suit and proclaiming, "Robert did it." While, to outside eyes, it would be the work of a rambunctious child, close friends of the family agreed that it was in fact the doll who was somehow to blame. Many claimed to hear giggling coming from the doll or to have caught a glimpse of him running up the steps or staring out the turret-room window at them.

Eugene continued to have a close relationship with Robert until he left to study art in Paris. In Paris, he met his future wife, Anne, and they soon were married and moved into his former home in Key West, which is now known as "The Artist House". Eugene was a celebrated artist in the area and well respected. It was when they returned that Anne finally learned about Robert. When his parents died and Gene inherited the house, Robert was rediscovered in the attic. Almost from the moment Gene laid eyes on him, Robert's influence could be felt. Eugene preferred to paint in his room alone, locked away with only Robert to give him company. His wife found the thing unsettling, insisting she'd seen the expression on its face change, but Gene would hear none of it.

When she locked the doll back in the attic, Robert, it seemed, had other plans. Visitors in the house could hear something walking back and forth in the attic, though no one was up there, and several times demonic giggling interrupted the quiet evenings. Soon after Gene flew into a rage, he said Robert was mad at them and demanded that Robert needed a room of his own where he could see the street. It wasn't long before his sanity came into question.

Eugene had craftsmen construct a room scaled to Robert's size built in the third floor turret of his Victorian style home, and even had furniture built, and the ceilings lowered. Eugene refused to allow people inside the house to visit them, and for good reason. Children on their way home from school (and many have been interviewed--always with the same results) claim that they would see Robert move around in the upstairs windows glowering at them even when no one was home, and on some occasions, he would jump from one window, move to the other side, and go into the window on the opposite side of the room.

After some time and many unexplainable events, Gene had enough and decided to put Robert in the attic, where he could do no more harm. Once again it was reported that the doll watched people and mocked school children from the window of the turret room. Gene, who insisted that Robert was in the attic, was quite surprised to find him in the rocking chair by the turret room window. He seized the doll and took it back to the attic, only to find it again in the rocking chair when he came back down.
As Eugene aged, he became increasingly abusive to Anne, and it was discovered that on many occasions, he would lock her in a slanted closet beneath Robert's room under the stairs for several days at a time. He would go into rages only to return to normal like nothing had happen, he would then proceed to blame the incident on Robert. After Eugene's death and burial in the Key West Cemetery, Anne left for her family's home in Boston, and allowed the house to be rented out.

When Anne left, she left Robert locked in his upstairs room, and put in a lease agreement that 'Robert must at all times remain the sole occupant of the attic room', or the contract was void. This remained true up until her death in 1976.

The first new reports were from a plumber working after Anne left. The plumber reported:

"I was doing some work in the larger part of the attic of the house. The people there wanted to make it an additional room so I was running the lines for a new toilet. The doll looked pretty creepy sitting there on the little chair holding its stuffed animal, but I had work to do so I didn't think much about it at first. As my work continued I had to make a few trips to get some parts from the van. Each time I returned I could swear the doll had moved a little bit. Like I said, I had work to do so I ignored it as much as I could, but when I was just about finished with the job and started decending the stairs, I heard a little kid giggling behind me. When I turned around the doll was on the opposite side of the room. The first thing I did was look to see where the kid was, but no one was there. I wasn't really frightened, but it was weird so I just continued down stairs and left. Some of my tools are probably still up there."

Robert waited patiently until another family bought the house. When their little girl, who was only ten years old at the time, found Robert in the attic, she claimed him for her own. She unleashed a chilling hell on herself, claiming that the doll tortured her. Now, more than thirty years later, she steadfastly claims that the doll was alive and wanted to kill her. She is still deeply traumatized.

Future occupants reported hearing noises upstairs including footsteps, laughter, and crashes, and upon inspection, found that Robert had moved position from where they left him. At this time, usually he would only cross his arms, move or cross his legs, or move from chair to chair. The occupants were so disturbed by this that they locked him in a sea chest in his room -- thus staying true to the lease agreement.

After many years, Robert was finally rediscovered in storage at the East Martello Museum, and due to popular demand, was put on display. Many people have speculated that Robert was losing energy when he was locked in the chest for those many years, however, now that he once again has human contact, he is draining energy. Perhaps this accounts for the three pacemakers that have stopped in front of him, the many, many reports of new camera batteries dying in front of him, the many cameras that have stopped working in front of him (the leading authority on Robert spent 6 rolls of the film and got only a handful of shots to develop), and the increased activity of the doll. Museum curators report that Robert often changes position overnight even though he is locked behind glass in a case inside a brick museum with locked three inch wooden doors and bars on every window.

Robert, still dressed in his white sailor's suit and clutching his stuffed lion, has also reportedly pulled pranks aplenty on those who care for him. A museum employee once cleaned Robert and left for the evening, locking the doors behind him and shutting off the lights. When he arrived the next day, several lights, including the one near Robert's case, were on. Also, Robert was placed differently than when the employee last saw him. Stranger still, the bottoms of Robert's shoes were coated in fresh dust as though he'd been walking around the museum. More than once, employees have reported hearing a sound like someone tapping on glass as they pass Robert's case. When they turn to look, they have seen Robert's hand pressed against the glass.

Today, Robert lives quite comfortably, though well guarded, at the Key West Martello Museum. Visitors are welcome to see him, though taking pictures has proven to be difficult. Cameras tend to stop working when pointed at the doll, only to resume normal function outside the museum walls.

Best Times:
Though Robert is available to take visitors year-round, the best time to introduce yourself, a practice recommended and followed by the museum staff, is during the month of October. During that one month, Robert is taken from the Martello Museum and housed in the Historic Custom House a few blocks down. It is during this time of year that he is said to be most active, and the employees always leave a bag of peppermints in his case with him in an attempt to cajole him into behaving. They swear there are always fewer candies the next morning. "

i think it all depends on what you are trying to do. I just remember i was given a free aura cleansing (a really neat experience btw) and you had to sit with your eyes closed and meditate while some trained person preformed cleansing movements. most people were told to close thier eyes but the women feeling  my aura asked me half way thourgh to open my eyes because she wanted to me to "stay in my body" i was actually proud of this statement considering ive been praticing astral travel.

But if u want to stay grounded then maybe eyes open is better, but i always thought u werent suppose to...very curious

hmmm, the nakedness disturbs me as well, i found it quite embaressing (and still do) but it seems like its hard to imagine clothes once you notice you dont have any, i guess its implanted in your mind already :P

The black out thing is really common, just keep up the practice. The first time for me i blacked out in my hallway outside my bedroom, the next time i made it to the kitchen, and then the last time the front door (but im still stuck in my house sadly and cant seem to get beyound the living room without complete loss of conciouness).
Have fun...

I'd say to fulfill the archetype of the artist,
i think thats at least one goal, but who knows
#23
Thats a nice story,
i myself have these same kind of fears (seeing dead or unnatural things) and they really hold me back,
but luckily many of my dreams have been dealing with this issue so at least some guide is trying to help me get beyound it.

Well, I wont bore you with a long post about my obes, I have only been APing for about 3 months and so far I have never even really left my house, but I have made some observations on the times when I have the experiences.

I practiced OBE without a real success for about 2 months striaght(once a night and sometimes during the day also). I then took a break for a while but I had signed up for yoga to help learn meditation and to relieve everyday stress and tensions. Another three months went by and that is when I started to wake up in the appropriate state for an easy obe.

Now I obe once a week on the same night as my yoga class, when I skip a class I do not obe that week.
This Tuesday night I went to yoga, later that night I woke up in the appropriate and state and even had the sensation that I was being pulled on but I was tired of the paralysis and had bad dreams that I still needed to recover from the night before so I went back to sleep. The next night I had the same sensation and decided to go through with the obe.

This pattern is consistent that if I skip yoga, no obe. If I skip the OBE it will come again usually the next night.

Anyways I recommend yoga, especially for people who are still learning.

Here is a very short summary of my latest OBE. I climbed out the usual way of grabbing the bottom of my bed. This time I concentrated on seeing in my room, which was not completely dark this time (I could see faintly) and for some odd reason I went on this obe without the intention of trying to wake early (like I mentioned I was tired of being locked into paralysis). I decided to try tasting in the astral so I went to my kitchen and ate some coffee cake and glass of milk, tasted good [:P] I then basically fiddled around for a while until I lost awareness and blacked out into a new dream. I tried out the technique of focusing on one object to gain awareness but the whole wall started swaying and melting so I stopped.

Any ideas on what i should do next, i feel like small steps are important but there is only so much i can do in my kitchen and i cant leave the house without going into wonderland

Had a few experiences this week, in some ways they are very similar to my first obe that I had last month. Here I go:

First off people in my house get up about 2 hours earlier in the morning then me so I'm always awake around 5am and usually day dream until I fall back to sleep, it's the perfect state for projecting. Anyways I got the vibes and after much reaching and struggling I managed to grab the side of my bed and pull out completely. (I don't know about everyone else but it feels like I rip out, like when you sit in a hot car and the skin sticks to the seat, except it's more like the pit of my stomach). I hopped over to the family room and to my surprise the house had all the Christmas decorations up including a big tree exactly like 2 months before. I wasn't expecting this at all, and at that decided to keep it short and return only to discover I had once again been locked out of my body [xx(]. Instead of fighting it like last time (which was a huge waste of time)I decided to make the best of it, I think Bruce said that once you make contact with your body the memories are downloaded so I wasn't too worried since this part of the experience would be remembered. The vibrations quickly returned but I had trouble grabbing my bed this time so I asked for help by a guide to be pulled out, instead of being pulled or grabbed I sort of drifted out as if blown by a wind (this has happened before). I looked myself over and at that moment realized I was naked, and the funny thing was the more I looked the more naked I became (if that makes any sense at all)[:D] I guess I couldn't remember what PJs I was wearing. I decided to leave my house with the intent of seeking an adventure, I spotted my keys and could pick them up so i decided to see if i could drive. Oddly enough outside was probably the most unimaginative scene I ever created (i say I because i belive this part was from my own mind). All the cars were the same; it was like a low budget TV show. I tend to drift into wonderland when I go through any closed door. I traveled by high speeds and the car disappeared but my perception kept shifting which meant it had probably become just a lucid dream, which I soon woke up out of. According to my clock I believe it to be between 5-15 minutes that I was gone[|)].

Well, im improving on exits but it's just those darn re-entries where i fail.
I still get paralysis and get locked out, even when I keep the obe under 15 seconds.
