Interesting you say that because I'm working on meditation, too. I've been avoiding it for a long, long time, which probably explains why I'm not getting anywhere with psychic skills, spirit/angel communication, and so forth.
So I made meditation a nightly thing, which is handy because it clears the mind before AP attempts.

I get closer to AP every night, but my darn fear backs it away. (._.)

Ooh, I use binaurals. Sometimes I just let them play in the background and other times I focus on them. I haven't been able to AP with them yet (keep in mind I had my first OBE in April, and it lasted like, 7 seconds) but I don't know which is better for you. If you focus on them - and don't have issues with a wandering mind - it would probably work, but if you're like me, who tries to focus on them and ends up thinking about her day, you'd probably do better just lying there listening. Allow your thoughts to gently drift across your mind, but don't analyze each one.

By the way - I feel the same. I actually have two other forums I found and I'm so grateful that I have each of them to help me since my spiritual journey is starting out at my age. o_o It's difficult to work in school, homework, art projects for GHP, and spirituality all into one day, but I manage! :)

EFT stands for "emotional freedom technique." It's like emotional acupressure/acupuncture.

There's a site for it: http://www.emofree.com

It's supposed to help with practically anything and everything - from helping to dissolve a fear of heights to improving your vision and even slaughtering a craving for chocolate!

I'm actually using this to dissolve my fear of the unknown so I can AP. :)

As a young person (both physically and spiritually), I feel that the "here and now" is as literal as it sounds. A plethora of individuals worry too much about their pasts and futures, and before they realize it, they've missed out on the present. I've learned to appreciate every moment; in fact, I don't think about my future as frequently as teenagers should. For all I know, I could be in this lifetime to die at the age of 19 and grow from that experience.

That's why I've been working to project astrally as often as I can. I feel like once I get there, my whole spiritual development will be... easier. Or more effective. Or something along those lines.
