Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / CLICK!

Thats actually a normal refex as the body goes to sleep, and everyone (that I know of) gets it. I believe it has to do with the brain releasing a jolt of energy to the muscles to cause them to tense then relax during sleep. I know it can be startling sometimes, and even wake you up.

Inducing invisibility? In the physical or the astral? That would be quite a feat in the physical (one which I'm sure is possible). I'm very interested though...you say you accomplished this? Can you describe it?

I went to Barnes and Nobles bookstore planning to buy it. I picked it up and gave it a browsing before buying. I decided not to buy it...not because its a bad book at all, but because I felt like I was reading Astral Dynamics (the best book on AP currently out there) again. The only advantage of this book is that it is organized into the 90 day plan and that the co-author gives some helpful hints from an outsiders view. However, I just didn't see enough new information to make it worth it for me. I may still pick up a copy in the future to build my AP library though. If you are a beginner, buy it. If you have never read Astral Dynamics, buy it. But for those with some experience and that have already read Astral Dynamics, it may be too much of the same thing to keep your attention.

I had a very strange night last night. I went to bed at about 11:30 PM. I had taken some Excedrin PM about 2 hours before so I was pretty tired from that. Sometime during the middle of the night, I woke up with the strangest sensations. It felt like my skin was all prickly.  Not really tingling, but very strange...almost oversensitive. I had this slight tingling in my chest. I felt a huge amount of anxiety for some reason, and I was somewhat disoriented. My body felt like it was full of energy, but it was very uncomfortable. I remember waking up my girlfriend who was laying next to me. I tried to get back to sleep and soon woke up again.  This happened about 8-10 times within an hour. Every time my girlfriend woke up. Looking back on it, everything had a strange surreal quality to it, and I was very afraid of the sensations (almost panicing). I never usually panic over anything, but I've heard that emotions are much stronger in the astral. In the morning I mentioned it, and she said I never moved or woke her up. Now, my girlfriend remembers if I even move a tiny bit during the night if it wakes her up. She said I never moved. I remembered speaking to her even...she did not recall this.  I'm almost sure I was having a spontaneous projection. The sensations were something I've never experienced before. Everything was very very real though...I remember it very clearly. God damn it I wish I had just stood up and I might have realized I was projecting!

I've had this ever since I was a kid, and have asked people about it.  Noone seems to have the same thing happen to them that I've talked to (mainly family).  Sometimes when I'm tired and kind of sitting there trancing out, my vision will change.  It happens often while watching TV.  I'll be staring at the TV not paying much attention to it, in an almost trance like state...but with my eyes open of course.  After a while my vision will zoom out to an almost fish-eye lens type view.  Everything in the room looks like it gets tiny and I get giant.  It literally looks like I'm inside toy house and everything is miniaturized.  However it doesn't feel as if I can pop out of my body at this point.  If I close my eyes during this, I still feel it.  I feel that I am either infinitly big or infinitly small.  If I shake my head, everything goes back to normal, but I only have to stare a few more seconds for it to kick back in.  Does anyone know what this is?  I have experienced this feeling once before when trying to project and imagining myself floating above my body, so I wonder if it has something to do with projection. Opinions?

I've been trying to acheive OBE for a few months now, and am continually getting closer.  Last night was exciting to say the least.  For the past month or so, I could lay down and get small, fast vibrations that felt nice but weren't intense. I can even get them sometime while awake in my hands, chest, and legs.  I layed down last night and attempted an OBE.  I was really tired (like most nights).  I went throught a very quick proceedure of counting breaths and focusing on body parts.  Fore example count 1-10 and focus awareness on the feet to gather energy.  Then 10-20 focus on legs and so on till you hit 100.  After that I started slowly and confidently climbing rope.  I wasn't trying very hard, and stayed very passive and care-free about the whole thing.  After about 5 minutes the light vibes kicked in.  After a few more minutes some heavier vibes kicked in...specially in my head.  At this point the vibes weren't super intense, but they were the heaviest I've ever experienced so I tried an exit.  I simply sat up hoping I would sit up in my astral body.  No luck...everything was still solid.  So I layed back down, but instead of being on my back, I curled up on my right side.  WOAH.  Within 10 seconds a wall of vibes hit me and it felt like my body was moving back and forth at a rate of about 2 Hz (times per second) for a distance of about 6 inches.  I enjoyed the feeling and tried to intensify them even more, but they soon faded.  Damn...I feel like I was so close!  Maybe next time [:)]

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Question for Beavis...
November 19, 2003, 14:35:52
Beavis,
I've read several of your posts, and from what I can gather you are the most advanced telekenetic I've ever heard of.  I started doing telekenesis about 6 months ago.  At the highest point, I was able to roll a pen or put out a candle with MUCH difficulty.  The psi wheel was always very easy for me.  In the past few months, my skill has gone way down.  I can barely spin the psi wheel sometimes.  I saw one post where you stated that during TK practice, you could see waves in the walls.  That may sound absolutely nuts to some people, but I believe it can be done if you are highly advanced.  So thats why I come to you...I was wondering if you could tell me how you came to have such advanced TK skills.  Could you decribe how you started and how you got where you are, as well as the mental technique you use?  I am finding getting really frustrated at my lack of ability lately, and hopefully you can help.  Thanks!

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Flashes of OBE?
September 15, 2003, 11:30:44
For the last few nights I've had some strange occurances. I've been working on keeping my awareness up in order to induce LD when I fall asleep.  2 days ago, I woke up in the morning to see one of my pieces of clothes running across the floor.  Upon shaking my head, I felt like I was really waking up this time and the clothes were where they should be.  Then last night...much more intense.  First I had several dreams where I was almost lucid, but it wasnt very clear.  Its like I controlled what I did in the dream, but it still felt dreamy and not realistic.  Then several times during the night I woke up with strong hallucinations.  One was of a huge spider in my bed.  Another of my girlfriend (who was laying next to me) with her eyes open.  Upon looking again, they were closed!  All these hallucinations last 1 second, then disappear.  I don't even kow if I really woke up during these or if it was all a vivid dream.  Needless to say, it was all very very confusing.  Anyone have these short flashes of hallucination like I describe?

Hey guys! Ok...last night I layed on my bed, did a few relaxation techniques, did some energy raising, and entered trace. Then for my exit technique, I used what Robert Bruce calls "Point of reference" or something simlar. I basically imagine that I was very close to the ceiling of the room, moved my consciousness there, and literally "felt" myself there. It truly felt like I was actually there...inches away from the ceiling. Now as soon as I did this, I felt like I had shunk down to an infinatly small point. I felt so incredibly tiny, and got a little vertigo here and there. Overall, I got somewhat disoriented. However, I got no vibrations, and this was as far as the attemp went. I have heard about the "tiny consciousness" effect a little, but is this a good sign or a bad sign? Does it mean I'm getting closer? Do I need to raise more energy first, or maybe relax more? If anyone has experienced anything like this, I would love to hear about it. Thanks guys!

I picked up Astral Dynamics on wednesday...if you don't have it, get it!  Anyways, I read the whole mind-split theory and I noticed a huge hole in it and wanted the opinions of some more experienced people.  Basically, Robert says that a copy of the original mind is placed in the projected body, and the physical body has the original master copy.  He goes on to state that they record memories separately, and the physical body only knows the astral body's memories upon merging back together and downloading these shadow memories.  Heres the problem though...his experience in the book with astral feedback said that the physical body and the astral body could see from eachothers eyes.  How is this possible is there is no real "link" between the two until re-merging and downloading?  If his physical could see what the projected body was seeing, then the physical would in fact be recording the projected double's memories, and there would be no download.  I hope this makes sense...I think you need to read the book first to understand.  Opinions on the mind-split effect and if it is a valid theory or not?

I hate to say this, but did you ever think about the fact that photographic film is a very sensitive medium? MINISCULE amounts of light can create very wierd effects on it. Your first few (with the orange blob) are typical of what happens to film during a light leak. In other words, the guy who developed that camera screwed the film up and exposed it to light very briefly, or the film was faulty when you got it. I've seen it before and thats what it looks like. Now the orbs...I never quite got this one. Noone has ever heard of lens flare? Look at your pictures...many of them are in a dim room with a bright light source in the center (window or object reflecting sunlight). The orbs seen in these pictures vary in brightness in direct proportion to the light source in the picture! Duh...classic lens flare. Sorry guys...I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble. I myself love to AP and I fully believe its real, but this orb stuff is not. I know what I'm talking about here, and what you have is leaked light artifacts and lens flares.

Just a thought. Since I was never in a full blown OBE, but instead in that peculiar twilight state just before, or in my case - AFTER sleep, I wonder if one can tune in, as with the H-Band noise, this particular frequency with the proper concentration? I'm thinking that this may be something that can be 'tuned' into without leaving the body.

I've learned to tune in to the astral music...it usually comes right before complete unconsciousness when I'm in deep trance. Its also very hard to hold on to if you think about it too much. I beleive the music is created by the listener. I can control it, and craft it, but with so much ease. Its as if you become a musical genious when you are near the astral. I've often tried to wake up and translate it onto guitar for use in a song, but the astral music has so much complexity that it can be a difficult task.

Absolute BS IMHO. Lets see a video of this. You are saying you can put a psi wheel under a sealed glass container and move it with light? Sure thing buddy.

Robert Bruce talks about this sensation in his book. When travelling out of body, this is this feeling in the heart chakra like a purring engine...proportional to the speed you move. Interesting.

I've never had a conscious exit project, but have gotten very very close. Even so, during the day I can shift my focus to my astral body. Its a strange feeling...my vision usually goes blurry, I feel vibrations everywhere, and sometimes lights in the room will dim or flicker (this is not something that happens often). ESP and telekenesis skills usually increase during this period. Its very hard to stay there though...you must think absolutely nothing. Some say they can actually see into the astral while wide awake and interacting with the physical.

Wow...very interesting. You guys had the exact same experience minus the checkerboard floor. I love seeing posts like this...it just shows that these OBE's are not totally random things generated by the mind. BTW about the checkerboard...usually astral gateway structures are checkered as well.

I have the same thing happen often. Move your awareness away from your third eye and it will usually dull the discomfort. I had an incident about 6 months ago happen during a period of constant telekenesis and AP practice. One day my crown chakra started to tingle, then almost hurt with the same kind of pressure you feel in your third eye. At times I could feel a pulsing energy going around my head in circles about once every few seconds. It lasted for several days and finally died down. It was definatly uncomfortable and I hope that never happens again.

I agree with most of what you said except this. That is 100% completely untrue and I'm not sure where you got such a rediculous "fact" from.

I used to take Oxy...not for OBE's or anything, but basically to get high. BAD IDEA. Oxy is basically heroin made in the lab...it is only one molecule away and has all the same effects. Its so addictive that you can literally become addicted after taking it one time. I took it for a few months. After running out, I scrounged for more, and could get none. I had a really dirty withdrawl. You aren't connecting to any "higher self"...you are getting high. They call it that for a reason...it makes you feel on top of the world. I remember how euphoric it would make me...like everything is perfect. My advice...unless you need it for severe pain, throw it out. Its the most dangerous perscrip drug you can take IMHO.

I've never tried that, but I have noticed that the astral body can affect the pysical. In other words you probably tasted or sensed your energy body passing through your physical tounge. I was once attempting to project while my girlfriend was asleep next to me. She had half her body on top of mine with her arms around me. As I felt my astral arm separate and pass through her arm, her arm would twitch as if it was being stimulated by an electric current. I found it really interesting and tried it several more times and it happened each time. So if you were projecting and were still somewhat conscious of the physical, then your physical body probably sensed the energy of your astral body.

I saw in another forum that you stated that you were testing these for Robert Bruce. Just curious...is that true? Will Robert be including these in his next book?

Go for it if you want. You won't have an OBE...just a  hallucination that kinda resembles a real OBE. Theres no pill to get you out of body the "easy" way.

Omega...this may matter to you. Last night I did not have a full seapration. The vibes came, faded, came, faded, etc. I could not keep focused enough to let them take their full effect.
#25
Yes I have. Last night I had 2 sets of "wavy" vibrations that felt like I was floating on a sea of moving ripples. They were very gentle and relaxing feeling. Then I had 2 sets of more intense vibrations of short wavelength and higher speed. I ususally find that the soft vibes turn into the intense ones if the mind is kept focused. During one set of intense vibes I heard what sounded like some kind of radio transmission...like from a flight controller to the tower. It actually scared me out of the vibes.
