I haven't astrally projected as I'm new, but I lucid dreamed and instinctively took on a typical demonic visage, claws, wings and everything. One of the most powerful feelings I've ever felt. 
Instinctively; as in I didn't make a conscious decision to look like that. It just happened in seconds as soon as I realised I was dreaming.
