Swinging a lot is a separation symptom.  You have to use body awareness and 'lean' into the movement, as if you were surfing or something like that.
I see thanks. It is good to know that I am at least doing it right. hope I'm close :)
just need to find right seperation technique because it is really hard to think because my brain is asleep (or almost). I mean it, It is really difficult to think when you are in deep paralysis. I'm sure you know  that

kind of like how you slip into a comfy pair of clothes? or different slipping.. hmm.. like a slip and slide?

1-2 hours before you will go to bed, many people prefer and seem to have more success in the morning but then there are others who's entire nonphysical travels are done at night. I will repeat this though, the time of day has nothing to do with your success, it is at which points in your sleep cycle(i'm talking asleep and awake) you try to do so that will have varying factors which will be detrimental or positive to your attempt at phasing. Everyone has a different sleep cycle, some people are even nocturnal so, I'd say it depends on the person relative to their cycle.
Yeah well I am kind of a night person, because I feel alot better at evening than morning. I try doing it in the second half of the day.
By the way, I've tried doing obe couple hours ago and I got really heavy sleep paralysis, and it was a real narrow margin betwen sleep and awaken. I felt like I was swinging a lot or something like that. Somehow I am trying not to relax too much because I am afraid to fall asleep :(

One different point of view- if you get to the exit state and don't exit, don't just lay there and wait- do an exit technique.  If you're trying to go OBE, there are a bunch of exit techniques available to you.  If you are phasing and just paying attention isn't doing it, 'lean into' the images as you slow them down.  This creates the 'vacuum' that sucks you into the scene.  Either way, 'just waiting' doesn't work most of the time, you have to do something when you're ready.
Yes when images poped out I started to become one with them. I began to feel that they are getting bigger and I'm being sucked in there but then it stopped for no reason :( (well maybe it was a outside noise because it is pretty loud on the street)
By the way is it ok to do phasing at night?

Ah, "Noticing".
Is that the one?

http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html

Try that link if you haven't already.

Focus on this part:
You're doing fine so it would seem.
Just continue what you're doing, but keep a more passive awareness... and just observe.
Try not to think about what you're seeing as much as merge your awareness WITH what you're seeing.  :)

~Ryan
Yes I did read that information maybe 3 or 4 times already. Fine I will try to watch them even more passively. But as you know it is very hard to do so when you're staring at blackness for a half an hour. That is not cool. I hope I will get positive results someday... It's a bit pity that its so hard for me to do it, darn. By the way, maybe you know any other more effective phasing method?
Thank you for your time :]

Hi there :)

It kind of sounds like you're still focused on your physical body.
It's easier said than done, but you've got to completely forget that you've even got a physical body.  :)

What method are you currently trying to Phase with?

~Ryan
Well, I am trying the one that requires just observation of images. But like I've said I barely see any at all no matter how long I wait. Maybe you could give me some quick tips how to do phasing properly?
I am so glad you've replied me :]

Hey all, I've been practising astral projection, phasing, and couple more methods for the past 3 or 4 months with no luck. I get to a point where my body is heavily paralyzed and then I just lay there. It is really frustrating and disappointing. As for phasing, I've tried it couple times but it is said that you have to observe images when they pop out. I once got to a point when I locked on an image and I kind of felt like I was about to be dragged in there but suddenly it stoped. By the way those images rarely appear and I have to lay there for an hour or so. It is so... not fair.

Any tips would be gladly appreciated
Thank you

I believe he's asking because if you "try too hard" or "want it too badly", it can actually work against you.
Because the more the practice and the less success you have, the more you'll start resenting yourself for not being able to do it... this has the side effect of locking you in the physical.

It's always best to go into this with no expectations.  :)
Just go with the flow.

~Ryan :)
I see... Thanks you for the post. Now I think you are right.. maybe I am trying to hard. (sigh) And like you have said, I get a bit upset everytime i fail, I really feel like I am close and then... nothing. Well now I understand :) no more stupid desire or some s*** like that :]
Btw I am really trying to separate myself by force (in trance state of course) and that is the biggest mistake I suppose. I've just learned it yesterday lol. Glad I did anyway, now i think Im on the right path for real this time :]

Hi

May I ask whay you want to do this so badly? Is there a specific reason?

I am asking this to try and understand your urgency. There are good reasons and dangerous ones. If your reasons are good then be patient, you will get there. If not, re-examine your motivations because you may actually get there...but may not get the results you hoped for.

Hi, well actually there is no particular reason, I just want to do it because I believe I will be able to get many great experiences and so on... By the way, I am a christian so i also believe that I'll meet my guardian Angel or something :)
I dont have any bad intentions If thats what you want to know and If I had one, I wouldn't be doing it because I believe that the stick has two edges, no matter where you are (I think you got the point)

The problem with wanting to do it so bad is that you will consciously be asking yourself "is this it?" all the time. That'll keep you connected to the physical and if you ever do get there, once you realize "yay, I'm doing it" you might get sucked back to your body. When I was first starting I just told myself "let's see what happens" and just totally relaxed. I also put myself in a curious mindset so as to just go with the flow. When things really did start happening I never knew I was 'there' until I drifted back into my body and by that point there was no doubt in my mind what had happened.
I agree with you, but now Im able to control my emotions and by all means I have determined myself to stay calm no matter what, and it does work :)

Having the desire is a good first step.
Next, you'll want to saturate your every waking thought with it.

I do this by helping here and reading reading reading everything I can get my hands on.

~Ryan :)
Yeah Im doing it too. Trying to get as much information as I can :) just pumping it right into my skull lol :)

I see, Thank you.
Wanna do it so bad :]

thanks guys for posting back me. Thanks for the link Xanth  :) Btw i donno but I really feel like Im close. Maybe my burning desire for it and belief helps it :)
Also, reading all that stuff in that page is real pain in the a** im not lazy but still. Xanth or anyone else, could you write down here in couple of senteces or words what is phasing is and how to do it? I should take much of your time.
Thanks

Hey all, I am new here (actually been here for a week but didn't post anything) and i've been trying astral projection for about week or more. I think I am getting real close because when i get into trance state and concentrate on my forehead I can feel a really strong pressure in my third eye and I feel dizzy and Im about to float or something. I strongly believe that i will succeed anytime and I am really confident about it ( I bet this helps to achieve projection even more quickly).
So thats about it, I just wanted to say am I really close or its just me? By the way, I've been having a headaches since I have started this. Maybe its because Im trying to hard? In this case I really am LOL
Any responses would be gladly appreciated
