Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Emotions

I totally disagree that anger has anything beneficial or constructive to offer, that's ridiculous in my opinion. Anger is when a person takes a situation way out of proportion, acting foolish when one could simply take a laid back perspective like a rational person. Anger causes wars, murders, it makes us retaliate nastily.

Being peeved on the other hand is absolutely fine. The worst you'll get with being peeved is acting a bit 'snappy'. There's nowt wrong with being a tad irritable.

I'm very sorry that this happened PR, I can't imagine how you feel. I'm sure things will improve, hopefully sooner rather then later

I think this is a great piece of writing; it had a significant effect on me. I think this section is brilliant:

and so it atacks right were it hurts the most
you cant escape when your the host

The poem tells such a disturbing and horrifying story, which had me enticed from the first line.

An excellent and chilling write that was thoroughly enjoyed, thanks for sharing.

Civilization surrounds – me
I personally, am notably choleric
People, too close, hesitation lacking
Humanity refusing to withdraw
From me

Tempted once was I not
A fleeting glance from possible friends
The edge I would tend - curious
Those days home dust
As now I know
True nature

Of intent, masked by 'selective' honesty
A sweet smile, a velvet glove - backstabbing
The gain of power
An insatiable want
Of Ladies and Gentleman
Politely they play

Clawing at greatness, scavenging knowledge
Such are the skills of the vultures above
Indirect attack, for social supremacy
Such is the want, of the man, the glove

Of the human desire to believe in
A faith, a purpose, a future
I will not yield
To another's
Play

I shan't rely on none for happiness - Thine is the give, the cede

For my hands are lined with velvet

Welcome to Writers Corner! / On Your Beauty
October 21, 2010, 07:26:54
Of breath of the forests, and thus leaves do quiver
The hills of great England, that shadow timid rivers

(Henceforth I question, the beauty of the mentioned
For now I've seen your face
         The inner light
Of your soul through the hills, my eyes descry forever
         The shadows cannot touch
         Your beauty, unfaded)

Of butterflies and bumblebees
The harmonies on a mountain breeze
Depths of valleys, kissing frost
Opaque white snow, robin lost

(What beauty is amid these now?
         As you exist.
Your presence and aura, deep within me
         Warm the icy abandoned cavities
         Of my heart once cold
         Lost not once)

Of the less travelled paths I've taken
And the pigeon nests forsaken
A falling egg, a dying birth
The rest survive, in giddy mirth

(I have walked many root full paths
But none of these compare to you
         You define perfection
A progeny of grace, from whence did you come?
A world distant among lilies and trees
         Whispering on the flowery breeze)

And of these flying butterflies I see and feel
Each flap in unity with too many clocks
Of time we care far too much
Forgetting the sun and the moon, against the rocks

(Needless to say, in you time does halt
         The earth carelessly rotates
         Around you
Your face among roses, time has no meaning
It is merely ever changing sunlight
         Against your lips)

Of your beauty told in truth
Exceeding my written verse

I, have surpassed my best
I, have travelled the world, have I just
Yet still I find no answers

A description for your beauty
Lies hidden in shadows
Still

A portrayal in words
Goes begging
And forever

Yeah totally agreed, all of that makes perfect sense. I think that to rouse our imaginative side is essential to truly be developed, as it compliments also our normal physical functioning, and in turn brings the two bodies into a better working connection, as you say. I think anyone who denies the prospect of projecting as anything but positive are really in need to think twice, it can only bring about constructive improvement in ourselves, it brings us closer to reality, opens our awareness, how is this bad?

Josh.

Interesting experience, sounds like you attained a strong energetic connection between your physical/etheric expanded body to your real time projectable or astral double. You need to lose that fear and keep control, as already mentioned. Feelings of fear derived from your waking consciousness will create energy conflicts, which could indeed prevent any quick return of the center of your consciousness back to your physical body.

Josh.

Sounds like your viewing images through your minds eye. Good potential is there, I believe you should try and work on this ability. Buy a book, read online....

Josh.

Well yes I suppose you could, granted that you project into the RTZ and you keep a clear mind to prevent major reality fluctuations. It would also not be a 'real' reality, but one created by your imagination. That said, if such a place has been imagined by many points of consciousness, then indeed that place would imprint itself within the astral realms, particularly the higher sub planes.

Josh.

I am fairly new to all of this myself; however I have read many resources. From what I know, your ability to fly in dreams does not have any correlation to your ability to have an OBE; however the fact that you often have lucid dreams is very positive. To remember such experiences is also a major hurdle that usually requires much practice. I think you could use your lucidity to induce your consciousness into a separate energy body, and indeed have a full blown OBE.

Yes you could well be close, but are you experienced with meditating from a normal waking state?

Regards,
Josh.

Hello everyone,

I came across astral projection by chance, I had never known of it until I stumbled across it in a conversation, to say it interested me would be an understatement. It is now an ambition of mine, to learn to astral project. After having done some research, it is not something that comes easily, and dedication is necessary to achieve it.

I am very exited about the prospect of a journey in learning to project my consciousness into other realms, I can't wait to get started. I've looked around on Amazon for books, but there are just so many, I don't know where to start. I am a complete beginner at this; I've never meditated or practised relaxation exercises so I know I have a very long way to go.

I've found a hypnosis CD on Ebay, which is meant to guide the listener into deep relaxation and help project. I know this is no short cut, but would this be a good addition to a book? Here's the link:

I would appreciate some advice on a book to get, as I don't know what one to pick from Amazon.

Thanks,
Josh.
