Thanks a lot for all of the feedback! :) I'll take the wisdom and run with it and see what I can do.

When I meant visualizing myself somewhere, I literally visualized myself washing dishes as myself but in the kitchen. I visualized and felt with my hands the warm soapy water and how it felt when I rinsed the dishes in cold water and putting them away, feeling the solid plates/silverware/glasses, etc. I also was able to feel the remembrance of what Dawn soap smells like as I wash, so it was kind of a cleansing experience for me that I may try again sometime even if I am not trying to project or leave my body.

I'll do these visualizations once I hit trance and see if it can get me closer.

Regardless of my attempts and my failures so far (failures are good, they keep us learning), I am learning a lot more about myself and I am feeling much happier. I seem to have more of an "eternal perspective" on things now.

Visuals- quick hypnagogics mean you're very close- slow hypnagogics means you're closer.
Seeing through the eyelids is a wonderful one to show you you've already projected, but are situated in/body, and now it's time to try an exit technique.

By quick hypnagogics you mean, like a flashing of images rather quickly in my mind? When I get to this phase I normally see a lot of different faces or different people, including people I have never seen before or remember seeing. Secondly, did you mean I am closest with quick or slow hypnagogics, I wasn't sure exactly what you meant.

Finally, I tried again last night with another attempt but it didn't go as well. Should I be trying to visualize myself elsewhere throughout the entire attempt? To quickly walk you through my attempt, I started with a short breathing exercise to get me relaxed and I also stretched beforehand. Then I put on my Astral Projection Isochronic tone and began listening with it looped. This tone should put my brain in theta and I can feel its effects.

I visualized myself doing dishes, and I think this was beneficial. I washed and dried each dish and put it away in my head, but this didn't seem to help a whole lot to get me to hypnagogics??? I then imagined myself swimming at the beach, I spent maybe 20min visualizing and it didn't seem to give me a lot of vibes (I know I should not even expect this), and did not give me hypnagogics other than what I was visualizing myself.

Also, I am adding yoga to my daily routine as I tried yoga for the first time yesterday and I really enjoy it!

Let me know what you think :) I appreciate your wisdom!

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you mean.
Is it a fear, or a technique thing?  Because when you think of being somewhere else (like at work thinking about the beach, or so) you're doing just that.  Or are you talking about exit techniques?

I meant that I can't seem to get myself to the point of having some of the "astral symptoms", like buzzing sounds, whole body vibrations. Last night I had a ton of vibrating especially on my head (probably crown chakra or minds eye). I also noticed after this I would walk around my house and still feel vibrating while being fully awake and doing things. It didn't seem to wear off for several minutes.

Here's what I plan on doing over the next couple weeks, please correct me if I am wrong :)

1. Instead of trying to do OBE activities every night before bed, I'll try to plan out a couple nights that I'll really try an attempt. I'll say affirmations during these specific attempt trials as well. If I wake up in the middle of a night at say 4-5am, I may also try an attempt.

2. I'll do NEW daily as an activity for myself. I won't do a full routine during an attempt unless I need some extra energy to stay aware.

3. I'll think about myself elsewhere during attempts to keep my awareness away from my physical body (5 senses, beach, swimming, etc that was mentioned in this post).

Any other things during the next couple of weeks that would be beneficial and add to my chances of projecting or leaving my body during an attempt?

Thanks for all the feedback!

Hello,

I am somewhat new to this, but I am starting to gain a wealth of knowledge on the matter. I have been attempting OBE since July, and I have had a couple interesting experiences thus far (2 lucid dreams, and one obe I think). The obe I think I had was when it felt like I fell through my bed, but then I opened my eyes and I was awake and in my physical body.

Let me just give a brief history before I get on with my questions. I have been doing a lot of research on the net to determine and find out how to have an OBE and how to improve my chances. I've explored binaural beats (Hemi-sync and other binaural products) and now I am into Isochronic tones. These tones definitely have an effect on me, but the iso tone I listen to is only 30 minutes long. I have read a few Robert Bruce books and I have attempted the 90 day OBE challenge, but I can't dedicate that much time in my week for that type of training regime.

Now with my questions.

I generally go to sleep at 10-11pm and wake up around 7am, is this impairing my chances of projecting? Should I set my alarm at night to wake up to attempt projection, if so what time with the time frames I've mentioned?

When I get relaxed I use "NEW Energy Ways" to generate energy in my body and this does well in relaxing me, but I can't seem to get overcome my impatience or my great desire of wanting something to happen. Last night I feel I've come the closest to projecting and my head seemed to be buzzing quite loud and vibrating a lot, but then I had to swallow and seemed to take me out of the experience.

Can anyone offer me up some things I can do or I should be doing to help me out? It seems like I can't get myself to do what I've read, and I am also having trouble with "losing myself" or "putting my awareness elsewhere".

Should I be attempting projection every night or morning? I used to click out a lot during binaural beats and just wake up from being unconscious and not experience anything. I am now finding that if I concentrate on moving energy, it keeps me from clicking out. Am I on the right track with that?

Thanks, I'd like all the help I can get! :)
