I used to get this a lot with my astral legs. They would lift up and point at the ceiling but nothing else would happen haha.
Honestly, there could be a number of reasons as to why this is happening. There could be some energy that needs to be worked on in your lower half, or this is just part of your unique and individual process.
When I leave my body I always get that clenching in my solar plexus. It vibrates so hard that its somewhat painful but, If i focus on it and try to intensify it I pop out of my body. Just do your best to relax and keep your thoughts as clear as possible.

Good luck!

This is a personal theory of mine that is shared by some writers, like John Magnus.

You have to work out your psychological issues first.  You have to gain control of your subconscious so that you can direct your mind.

Like I've said, in the past, in occult groups, adepts weren't even allowed to attempt astral projection until they had mastered their own mind.  It's still much the same in many eastern traditions like Taoism or Buddhism (for the monks anyway).

I'll PM you later with some things you can do to work on that, but right now I've got to head out to handle some stuff.

I'd love some advice as soon as you get a chance!

There are no "higher" or "lower" planes.  There are simply a number of different reality frames which you can experience.

The connection between "higher" and "lower", is (as I've found) in comparison to how well you can focus your mind and how well you can hold that focus for extended periods of time.  HEY!  That sounds like how to meditate!

Simply put... I've found that there's a direct connection between how much control one has over their mind and the 'kind' (that's a horrible word... I can't think of anything better to use right now though) of reality frame you're experiencing.

To take a page out of Tom's book... the more you can lower your entropy and increase the quality of your consciousness, the "more" you'll be able to directly experience in the non-physical.  That's really the best way to describe it... if you're wondering now what "lowering your entropy" and "quality of consciousness" mean, I'll just direct you to one of Tom's lectures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1vYHOPFgcg

Start with that video and work your way through them.

I'll check out the lectures, can you give me the name of the book?

I've noticed that I have times where I am focusing as hard as i can and things are remaining pretty clear but all of the sudden, things will go black. Is this to be expected?

I just dont know what to do when I get out of my body so I think that's why I will stumble around until I black out again.
I've tried chanting some mantras and thats always a trip haha.

I'll try some of the commands mentioned as well. But once you guys get out-of-body, what do you typically do?

Thank you all so much for the advice, I am always grateful for this forum as I cant imagine figuring these things out, without it.

Hi all,

its been a while, hope everyone is doing well :)

anyway I've been projecting a lot, basically through the WILD technique, but each time I do it's just a blurry mess of my immediate surroundings. Sometimes I'll get out of hand and try to fly or something only to end up blacking out and getting lost in my consciousness.
Does anyone have any advice on how to reach higher planes for a more meaningful experience? I have tried contacting guides after projecting but nothing usually happens. Part of me was thinking that maybe I have to get my concentration on these lower planes down before going any 'further', but i'd love to hear from you all.

Thanks,

Congrats Raymond!

I remember feeling exactly the same way after my first OBE. Lionheart is right about the movements, they are tough at first. After a while you will realize that they are mainly controlled by your will.

Beliefs System territory (BST) are the theoretical first step of a higher level astral projection.

At the first stage, (F21) you are in your own subcounscious.

As you travel 'deeper', more disconnected, you enter, essentially, the central point where consciousness congregates once it passes on from this life experience. Here, it culminates all the mental models that it learned over our physical sequential 'time' in a intangible depiction. Hence, heaven looks like that cliche idea of heaven, Valhalla the same for vikings, etc. As people disconnect themselves from these models(traveling deeper upon understanding death and their next step) the models get cross-skewed and an infinite number of 'sub-territories are formed' This culmination accounts for what Monroe believed the F23-25/26 focus levels to be. Remember these are just esoteric placeholders made so we can more intelligently discuss something totally intangible and confusing that seems to have a relatively decent pattern across verifiable experiences.

So when things seem beyond your individual comprehension within a dream state, i.e. thousands of entities doing individual tasks, we can take this as a relatively decent sign that one may have traveled deeper into their own subconscious, i.e. possible int a BST.

Cheers,
Contenteo

Thanks a lot for that explanation! It was one of the best and most informative I have heard so far.

I haven't had any type of lucid dream since then though =\ I guess one will come in time.

Longest lucid dream to date. Lasted for what seemed like hours. I even had a conversation with a guide that I met who told me that you can dream for months in one night's sleep. After meeting with this guide, he basically just stepped back and monitored my lucid dreaming. I was roaming a city in Japan. while it wasn't exactly the same as the city in mind, it was basically my dream copy. I kept surprising myself that the dream was still going on because, usually they will only last minutes at most. There were even times when I would lose focus and, in the darkness, I could hear the guide's voice guiding me back to the dream. There I would wake up in the dream and be right back where I was before. The guide told me his name and instructed me how to get a  hold of him during my time there. After doing so again, he guided me through the sky and showed me the entire dream world. He was explaining about the millions of people that make up this world and how they are all part of us, basically referencing to our physical world as well.  I don't remember all of the message but I remember it being awe inspiring. After this, we met another guide who instructed me on how to get to this type of higher level meeting ground, with other guides. He called it the essence of something, i cant remember. After successfully getting there, I arrive in what looks like an outdoor room in Japan. There, there are four guides, two of which I had met already. I sat with them and felt this extremely strong and comforting connection with everyone. We played some type of game though and after losing, I was told that I had to leave this dream world for four sleep cycles. I was very scared that I wouldn't know how to get back to this wonderful place, but after they reassured me that it was possible I complied. I remember I tried to come back early because I was scared that I had forgotten and they seemed somewhat upset with me. After that I decided to let go and try again another day. This was truly an amazing experience.

I've where you are for the past 6 months or so and was feeling pretty disconnected with the world. I just logged in for the first time in about the same length of time.
Starting to feel better already ;)

We are moving in to the Aquarian age. From what i've heard, and felt, we will be shifting from the age of "I" to the age of "we".
So I guess I would say #5

I just started taking it recently but I am a bit worried about the spiritual/energy repercussions that it may have.
Anyone have any insight?

Thank you

what methods do you use for sending energy?
I want to start practicing because I feel that its something I have a lot of potential in.

Awesome thread guys!
Does anyone have any direction that they can point me to learn how to do Merkaba meditation?

also, I saw in a couple of posts people talking about 'lessons' or 'schools' in your dreams. Me and a close friend of mine, who has been getting his metaphysical feet wet for some time now, have both had very similar dreams of a type of "metaphysical school". I usually remember some type of class or just one individual person trying to teach me something. The most recent was: A man standing in front of me is trying to teach me to harness some type of energy I believe. I see a small golden ball of light above his head and then he says to me, "box it up and let it grow". I still have trouble understanding what exactly he was talking about, but it was interesting nonetheless.

I really want to give this meditation a shot so if anyone knows of a cite or wants to give some direction, It would be greatly appreciated!

Yea who knows what is really was. Given that I was projecting into the RTZ though, thats what raised some questions in my mind. From what I have read, the RTZ (correct me if im wrong here) is kind of a blueprint of our physical world. Thought does equal action but at no point was I thinking about this planet.
Most likely it was just in my mind but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas

Find out things for yourself!  The only way you can begin to do that is by putting aside all concepts, old and new alike.  Put them all aside and just experience.  You don't need to classify or categorize your experiences.  You don't need to say "well this was obviously a Chakra!".  Do your own experiments free from that kind of limiting thought.

You don't need to re-write the book... you only need to re-write YOUR book.
Because in the grand scheme of things, YOUR book is the only one that matters.

I couldn't agree more. Just how you need to put your concepts and belief systems aside, I feel like trying to prove whether or not something is "real" is an earthly concept that can only damage our spiritual progression (isn't that why we are all here in the first place?). From my personal experience, doubt is the first and largest roadblock in the road to enlightenment. Being the negative ego's we are, naturally by trying to prove whether or not something is "real", we are going to instantly look for reasons as to why it HAS to be imaginary.
Put everything to side, and stop looking for "proof" because its just going to run away from you.

Also it is my personal belief that we are all of the same source, and I know we all have those areas that we don't like and wish to change, so lets stop attacking ourselves when someone says something that we don't like ya?

As far as the original post goes, I've had some luck listening to binaural beats and focusing on each chakra, starting from the root, until you reach the crown. Wait until you can feel the root chakra pulsate and try to keep it going. Then move to the next one while simultaneously keeping the root chakra energized/pulsating. Before you know if you will be at your crown chakra with all 7 main chakras pulsating. This is also good because it keeps your mind focused on your etheric body and you might just be in a trance by this point.
Good luck!!

P.S.
I dont know what the Pulse's policy is on this so Im sorry if I break any rules. I am in no way suggesting that this be done but, I always have a much easier time energizing my chakras after a little visit from my green friend. I wouldn't suggest it every time because it kind of limits yourself. Its good every once and a while but its better to challenge yourself.

I couldn't tell if the planet was just closer to earth than the moon but it looked like 10x the size of the moon if not more. All I saw was the outline of it too, not the whole thing. Given that I was projecting into RTZ this could have just been in my mind. But who knows! haha

I remember seeing a post a while back about 'Planet X' which was essentially another planet in our solar system that wasn't visible by us. Correct my if I'm wrong, please.
I had a few projections this morning and my level of focus was much better than usual. This could have been because I did a little bit of meditating before hand and went back to sleep while holding my crystal.
I decided to try flying again and flew up straight through the clouds and saw not just the moon, but the outline of another planet that was either a lot closer to earth or much bigger than the moon. From my perspective it looked about 10x bigger than the moon.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It just sounds like those people have a long way to go before they break their cycle. Or they're going to have a ton of fun in Astral Heaven.
#21
Thank you CFT traveler that was very helpful actually :)
My projections are super fuzzy and lack control so I'm assuming that I'll just need more time and experience to master that plane first.
My trouble as of now is just maintaining focus in a projection, since they happen so rarely and I'm not always prepared for them.

In any case, thanks for the response!

CFT Traveler: Thank you for the response :). do you have any advice for not projecting into RTZ? It's all I've experienced and I would really like more control and a projection with more clarity.

Thanks,
-Firmitas
#23
Thanks I'll give that a shot.
I've tried the clarity now technique, the only problem is that I usually cant mouth any words. I think I start trying to move my physical lips and I feel the paralysis.
#24
I would try focusing on your chakras and focusing on increasing the vibrations. Also think about profound feelings of love during the paralysis period or before.

Hey everyone,

So I posted a question on this guy's youtube comment area. The question was, " I almost always project after waking up for an hour or so and going back to sleep. The problem I always seem to have though, is that once projecting, the clarity is very poor. Everything appears very sepia like and I am feel as if i am not in complete control. Do you have any video's or advice you can point me to?"

His response was, "it sounds like maybe you're 'landing in the lower astral-ish'... so having a higher vibration when you get out would land you in a higher realm where there is more color and light. Soo, if you focus on your heart chakra, & think abt & focus on things you love or on being more loving, this can really help move you into a higher obe 'place'. I have used it myself. Use before getting out, or after you are out. Good luck, let me know if ya try it."

anyone have any input? Im definitely going to try this out though. For those who haven't checked out his videos, his username is Rich2150x and he has some great videos! check them out.
