Happy Christmas Eve everyone, the Sun's still shining!  :-)

Check this out lol! It's one hour behind GMT!!!!

http://www.december212012.com/CDC.htm

"There are a number of December 21 2012 countdown clocks on the web, and they vary in accuracy from a few minutes to several hours or more. Many of these timers depend on the accuracy of your own computers internal clock. While others do not allow for man made time variations such as leap years, international time zones and daylight savings time.

There can only be one Official Countdown Timer
and we have it"

Lol!

Apparently we can translate the end of the Mayan Long Count to 11:11 GMT
Not quite sure how they worked it out to the minute, but GMT is my time zone, so I'll let you all know if I die.  :-D

Hi, I've only just found this thread. Is everyone still doing this?

Killing yourself will not provide a solution to your despair. You will still despair if that is in your heart. You will not be free. Search for love, be it in the astral or the physical. Then you will realise true purpose. I promise you.

Even if for some reason it wasn't "real", the change it made in me is no hallucination.

Thanks Stookie, beautifully put. It has also changed my outlook on things.

Is there a difference?

Kailaurius - I also agree with this concept. I read up on Franks posts, and I must say that I found them very intriguing. I hope someday to have experiences to the sorts of levels that others have had on this site. Cool link by the way, I love the Matrix, thanks.

ANYthing is a real experience. There is no unreal experience.

Regarding 'proof' in terms of getting validations I recommend the link in my signature below.

Volgerle, I understand what you say, and I do take some good from all of my experiences. Thanks for the link, although I couldn't get it to work, sorry.

Based upon my experiences, I have discovered some facts.

3) Any changes to the energy body may directly affect the physical body as a result.

4) Any changes to the energetic plane may directly affect the physical plane as a result.

todd421757 - Very interesting, thanks. Could you expand on the points above please? I would love to know what specific changes you experienced.

I suppose my interest really lies here - I am afraid of dying some day. Like a lot of others, I am seeking some sort of faith or belief that my soul/conciseness will continue to exist beyond death. Hence my interest in validations.

Thanks for your comments.

Hi,

I've been on this site for a while now, I don't comment much, but I do like to read the discussions of others. I haven't had any experiences for quite some time now, but I have got to thinking -

How do you really know that you are projecting yourself beyond our physical existence, and not merely experiencing a vivid LD?

I am not attempting to disprove anything here, I would just like to know about other peoples experiences, and more to the point, what it was exactly that convinced them (or rather proved to themselves), that this experience was in fact a manifestation of your consciousness operating independently from your body.

I have had OBE's myself, and they were very interesting experiences. But I cannot say for sure that it was not just a very vivid, and very lucid dream.

Not anymore. I gave it up when I was in my mid twenties and I'm 33 now. It use to slow me down mentally but since I stopped I'm fine.
It's not like I'm trying to solve problems or equate theories, they come to me more like an epiphany, and then, whoosh, just gone.

Haven't been on here for quite some time now but I've recently been watching some interesting episodes (or lessons) of Spirit Science on You Tube. These videos were first brought to my attention by another post on this site because there is one video that talks primarily about AP. It's a cartoon, and and such, very easy to digest. I would whole heartily recommend anybody to watch them, but start with the first one. There is some really interesting stuff that I wasn't aware of to do with the flower of life and sacred geometrics. It does tend to get a bit 'out there' by lesson 12, but it's still interesting.

Anyway, it's got me back thinking about all this type of stuff and I thought of something that has happened to me a number of times, and I thought I'd ask if anybody else has had any similar experiences.

Sometimes I have a complete theory of something in my mind, or more like, I can completely understand a concept and see it's workings. But this is only for a brief moment. As soon as I try to verbalise my thought, it's gone! And I can't even remember what I was theorising about!!

Anybody else? Theories?

Cheers!  :-)

Correct my if I am wrong but somebody told me that Zion (mentioned in reggae music) is a place in the afterlife where Rastafarian go and apparently this is the only place in the afterlife that marijuana grows??

It used to scare the wits out of me too! But since being on this site, like yourself, I learned about AP. Now I have no fear at all when in SP. The only person creating the Grudge girl is you!  :-)
#15
It is indeed unpleasant!
I've had spontaneous sp for quite sometime, but normally only after I've already slept a while, so yes, maybe this experience is to do with separation whilst initially conscious.
CFTraveller, have had this type of thing happen to you before then?

Sometimes when I reach the point that I feel I'm about phase, I get the strangest feeling. It feels as though my heart's just stopped and it been pulled up through my chest towards my mouth. Needless to say the shock of this jolts me back to full consciousness and I sit up with a start.
Anybody else experience this, or are there any ideas as to what's going on?? Thanks.  :|

Sounds cool, but what's the theory based on?

Well, I actually agree with Stephen Hawkings when he says that if we ever do meet other intelligent life... they probably won't be from "another planet in our universe".  They'll probably be from another dimension... another plane of existence... call it whatever you like, but they probably won't come from anywhere in this universe.

I read his Brief History of Time and I've always been fascinated by physics, (even if my maths isn't up to it!!) But my own theory is that there needn't be anything fantastical about the astral planes or whatever you want to call it, but maybe some scientists are close to actually discovering different dimensions, and perhaps that is where we are going (or trying to go!) every night??
Anyway, probably a bit off topic as I haven't taken the time to watch those videos yet, but I shall.

We are each immortal and, as already mentioned, this puts us into the realm of infinity or forever. I have seen it suggested, though, that some highly advanced beings can opt to return to the Godhead and thus lose their individuality.

Sounds similar to Frank's model Focus 4. He suggests that you don't lose your individuality but you do share yourself with all other consciousness. In Frank's opinion that's the end game, (although there is no end or beginning!!)

I had exactly the same thing when I last gave up (smoking again now though :-() The dreams were amazing! I didn't have the sleep disturbance though, just real vivid dreams! Unfortunately, I hadn't discovered the world of AP and LD back then, I might give it another go!
#21
Quite right hence Rapid Eye Movement!

I can't say I've checked since, maybe I was toooo terrified back then!

The first thought I have now when I get SP is 'GET UP AND OUT!'

Oh I thought everyone got it automatically every night?

This is the way I discovered AP. At first I thought my sleep paralysis was a sleep disorder of some kind (still considered to be by some people). The body goes into a state of paralysis when you sleep to stop you from acting out your dreams. One day when I was still a child I suddenly woke up, but could not move, not even my eyes, it was a pretty scary problem I was having on and off for about 20+ years after that time. Only when one day I all of a sudden started experiencing vibrations did I decide to continue researching into it, and I found that my problem was infact a blessing!
Thanks to Astral Pulse!

Forget getting out of your body and try getting inside your head. The noticing technique works really good. First you start with some relaxation, then just notice the darkness in front of your eyes. Let everything else go and get into yourself, not out of yourself. I find it quite easy when I just let it happen. I also use Binaural/Brainwave Beats, that tends to help me lose focus on the outside and move towards the in.
Good Luck and Safe Travels!  :-)

I completely agree. The binaural beats are great way for moving into a trance like state. As you focus on the sounds it will distract from any stray thoughts. However, choose your practice times wisely. I quite often relax so much I fall asleep listening to them!

I'm no expert, but maybe you were trying too hard. I've had a lot of experience with the vibration stage and not a great deal once separated, until recently that is.
My biggest problem was trying all these different methods of trying to actually get out! Somebody on here suggest that once your in the vibration stage, you are already out! And that all you need to do is get up, no matter how 'stuck down' you feel. So that is what I did, I just forced myself to sit up. At first I was afraid of breaking the paralysis because I just felt so heavy and I actually felt like I was moving my physical body, but just with twice the gravity. Anyway, I sat up and as soon as I moved away from from my body I was floating along like a feather!!
8-)

I might give that a go, can't hurt.  :-)
