Hello! Well it seems like an LD eventually, but you started it as a physical initiated AP. I think if you think of your body, it can ruin the time span. I can spend days in my LDs. Of course a Lucid Dream is AP too, but we like to think about AP as something which I can do directly from the physical without blackout. I'm working on it still. I'm practicing phasing but as I know it is not recommended to feel some kind of exit stuff. To tell the truth in my LDs there were lots of cases when I gained huge awareness and the "dream" didn't fade away. I'm experienced in feeling that my time is soon over and I need to wake up lol. Sometimes I felt my body in my bed too.

But it is great story! Everything is real, your imagination is too. The physical here is just "one" dimension for primary lessons. Try to reproduce it and it will be a great journey!

I like to think of AP's and LDs as seperate. With APs being more spiritual and LDs you just being super aware in the dream. I've had plenty of LD's where I wasn't thinking "oh I'm out of body now." or even if I did fly around I knew it wasn't quite an AP. It's possible though they are one in the same or are close to being.

I think you guys are going to love hearing this experience!

I still haven't gotten a hang of discerning between sometimes AP an lucid dreaming. I've had APs that turn more lucid or fade in an out so I could never tell f they were real.

This time I have a high feeling it might have just been a strong LD but it could have been an AP based on the circumstances, scenary, and people I met.

All I remember was sitting in my family's office room thinking that I wasn't out of my body yet and that I'd go completely numb and let go to leave. It didn't take me that long to feel like I was able to move my consciousness around. So I was already either APing and had skipped the exit process (sometimes I do and I'll wake up hovering above my bed) or I was lucid dreaming about AP and had like a lucid dreamception of sorts lol.
Anyway the coolest part of this was I left my house, was able to go through our side door windows, and saw the most gorgeous of colors. Trees had butterfly leaves, the sky was various bright hue colors. Things weren't super clear though even though I was trying to see them clearly, but I've had that problem too after directly leaving my body. I was hovering and flying as my main mode of travel. Usually a problem with AP I have is that I can't stay out long enough. I tried to keep things very null though, like I wasn't focusing too hard on anything so that I wouldn't end the experience.
I don't remember whole scenes of what happened when. I wish I did. I know if it's an AP im usually supposed to remember all of it, some people do and they stay out for what feels like days.

Anyway the segments I remember were that I knew I had wanted to travel to new scenary, I never have left far from my house and I wanted to explore. I think I was able to to shift my attention to another scenary because I remember HUGE HUGE HUGE gorgeous, detailed island rocks all with flowing water beneath. I remember scaling or flying up the rocks. They were like god level gianormous and inspired a sense of awe. My clarity kind of came when looking at those so I could see all the details.

Another scenary came into my awareness and I was at a huge overlookout. There seemed to be other people there crying over the aweness of what they were seeing. I took a look at what they were seeing below. I couldn't even really describe what I saw. Something like trillions of cities below that came into contact with another element, I don't even know how to word that haha. I couldn't process it fully but I started to cry too.
I don't remember how or when but I ended up meeting up with two other people. One was more mexican ethnic, another was more asian. I remember we talked and talked but not about what. What I did remember was that I told the mexican girl that I'd like to travel to the place that KoiFresco had in his experience (except I had forgotten his name during this!) She seemed to be like yea yea I know what you are talking about, I can take you there. I thought oh wow really that would be amazing!! We grabbed each others' hands and the asian girl came too. I let her do the work and just kept numb in my desires. I felt like I was spinning around and around until I finally, felt sand beneath myself. I opened my eyes and saw that it WAS SAND but it was RAINBOW SAND!! The sand hills all had different colors. It was magical. Straight ahead was a type of viney jungle forest park with a boardwalk which we went through. I started talking more to my new friends telling them that I was a human back on earth, what were they? And they said yea human! The reason I doubt this being an AP was because if it was I likely would have seen other types of lifeforms or creatures not just humanlike forms.

Another scenary came into view, and it was another massive lanscape. Huge body of water that connected to a shining city way way out in the distance, that we were able to fly over. There looked to be oil rig companies below which I thought was weird. We went down and took a look at them. I remember engaging with some of the workers? there. On my way back through the jungly area my friends and I stopped to listen to two people. I got so bored listening I woke up. lol.

I thought it was interesting that last night would went to bed thinking I'd really like to meet some people during an AP so they could take me places. So did my mind just manifest that or was it something more?? I dunno, but not too long after I woke up fully I heard a soft woooooooosh sound next to me.

I don't know if I was speaking telepathically to people or not, I wasn't focusing on it. That's usually a clue too if you are APing or LDing. Overall the place wasn't like what KoiFresco had gone to (it was sort of a beach!), but it was still ridiculously amazing and gorgeous. I'll never forget that rainbow colored sand.

well I've been out a couple of times, but I been in the longest dry spell ever , can't seem to get out anymore, since coming to that realization or intent that I messaged you about trying, its like something is keeping me from doing it, don't get me wrong I try to project every single nigh, I don't have a regular sleep pattern anymore, I've forgotten how to just lay there and sleep without trying to project. its taken over my like cause I want to do it so badly, been this way 3-4 years now with no results at least the profound ones that i'm looking for.

For what it's worth I find I'm able to more likely to project if I'm physically tired. I'm not telling people to go crazy and exhaust themselves, but I know the day that I used my whole body parking cars all day at a festival, and my arms and legs being as sore as they were when I laid down, they easily just conked out, and it left my mind still awake, which triggered a lot of the vibrations, around 6 times.

will take you up on that offer if and when I get out , after taking care of my own things too:)

Cool beans, would love to meet you!! You CAN do this! It took me a month or two to get it, but some it takes less time.

I can't really pick out a best one. None of my were all that great. There were a few okay ones. One I just flew to my hall mirror and kept changing my outfit in front of it. I mentally envisioned the elaborate dress I wanted to wear, and....well it only came out somewhat right half the time but it was pretty cool anyways.

One of the cooler experiences was where I went to my parent's room and looked up at the ceiling and all I saw was a dark sky full of shining stars.

When I was a noob at AP, the first time I looked at myself I was wearing a white ankle length gown. I had never thought about what people wore up there or what we were supposed to look like prior to that, even when reading through people's stories, so I thought that was pretty interesting since we often consider beings in white gowns to be akin to angels etc.

Never met any other being up there really, at least any I have remembered. Have astral projected over 20+ times, more so when I was younger, just haven't done it much lately. Probably would be more into it if I could see some of the cool stuff others have. I just kinda hang glide around my house and then wake up. So yeah feel free to come and hang with me, don't know how that would work since we might project at different times, don't even know each other, etc but the astral has mysterious forces that work in weird ways so anything is possible I guess. Just an offer to all loving beings here. Have fun out there. Peace and love to you all :)

Same here. Each time I project I am not paralyzed, just in a deep trance until I fall asleep and then wake up to the sensations of projecting. But only once I believe have I ever felt my body actually paralyzed.

Same actually.  When I first did OBE I often felt paralyzed. In my opinion it made it easier to leave your body because the body was asleep. Now I can move my body if I want, but I try so hard not to because I know even the slightest movement makes the process stop. It's really quite crazy. I remember a few times waking up, vibrating like crazy about to OBE but due to an uncomofrtable sensation in my leg I moved it and the vibrations gradually faded out while I was fully aware. creepy!

The increased hearbeat isn't a problem, in fact the vibrations and the increased heart beat mean you are EXTREMELY CLOSE. You are literally 2 min away from lifting out of your body.

My heart always feels like it's racing before I OBE
#9
Would like more proof. I've left my body several times. It seems very spiritual and very hard to pass off as a delusion.  How can you explain having similar delusions each night where you feel a second self lift our of your body, not to mention all the creepy noises during the process?

I almost did one the other day...I haven't done them in awhile. My issue is that I'm too "awake" when I'm in the zone. I kinda get really excited  and all of a sudden, it dies down as soon as I hear something in the physical. It's honestly weird how one minute I'll be vibrating but I'm also aware of literal physical sound, not just those weird creepy sounds. Someone was making noise in our hall and it kinda lulled me out and the vibrations subsided....and they were still making noise so yeah.

Is this the spirit world or an oddly designed trick of the mind?

Mmm not really. I usually set my goals to high so they never get done...

hmm, so is the person an internet friend then? o.o

It's possible I think. I can remember converstaions I have had in the astral (most likely with my own thought forms lol) so if someone did give me some information, if not too complicated, I think I'd have a chance of remembering it as long as I wrote it down immediately after the experience.

Other than meeting another AP'er in the astral, have you set any other goals for yourself?

I've never been bored with having OOBE's but without an aim, they can become less important to us.

I just usually say that I have never met another person in the Astral because it's hard to prove it to myself or others, not that I'm lying about it. I have never told a lie in my life. Alright, that was my first lie.

But I know on one occasion, that I have. Although I can't say that the person I met was in their normal form that they have in the physical or not because I have never met them in the physical...Which complicates the matter even more as far as trying to explain it. I just know that I know who this person is.

Mmm not really. I usually set my goals to high so they never get done...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Astral Meet ups?

I have astral projected at least 20 times. I'm not experienced...though I'd say I no more a novice.

I have been a bit bored lately. I haven't astral projected lately either. It just doesn't seem as "exciting" to me anymore...usually because I can only get mine to last 2 minutes. I'd work on making them last longer but it requires a lot of energy when you are in that zone.

I'm just curious if anyone has been interested in meeting other astral projectors. I know if I did, my total perceptions of astral projection would change and I'd even MORE so believe that it was real. I'm just going to put it out there that if anyone wants to meet up with me in the astral, you are welcome to. I don't know how that really works, but if you know, great and you're welcome to visit and we could play astral tag or something lol.

I don't specify any times or anything, just when you are out and about, if you want to find me in the astral and know how to, I welcome you to.

You are also welcome to share any experiences you have had with actually meeting up with someone in the astral. I'd love to hear.

Cool. I'm not really sure. I think astrla projection and lucid dreams can be closely related. I've had some of my astral projections turn into more so dream like states toward the end.

That's really cool though. :) I played minecraft for awhile. I like seeing people's creations. Maybe it was a projection but you projected a lot of your love of the setting of minecraft out into it and that's what you got xD
#14
Well that seems like a good attempt. I think you are getting closer. I don't think you were quite there yet because once you are aware of your spirit body out of your physical, you know.... O_o Oh you know *_*

QuoteThen when in the vibratory state, just stretch out an astral hand or shout (innerly) "help me out". Ask and ye shall be given.   Guides are nice people, they are eager to help, most of the time you don't see them then, you only felt their hand(s) lifting you out (yes, it might be two sometimes, it varies, at least for me), and once you're out you are free to explore. Unless you want to meet and see your helper(s), then you will see them.

Nope, that's never worked for me.  But I wouldn't blame them o.O Why would spirits just be right there at your beck and call? Seems kinda fabricated. LOL Hence why I don't believe in guides. Better me not to actually, not going to say they "aren't" real though, because we are never sure of anything.

I don't think just laying down and kind trying to force it to happen is the best way to go about getting an astral projection. It never worked for me that way xD I would lay on the bed for two hours trying to stay as still and relaxed as possible, but no, nothing, though I did get the occassional vibration, I don't think it was quite strong enough or I was in the right relaxation mode, if that makes sense o.o

The only way I have ever done it is when I go to bed like I normally do. I start to drift off to sleep but I keep myself slightly aware. I stay in that sort of zone until the rest of my body falls asleep, when it does, I can tell because I'll start shaking and vibrating. Sometimes I will also sort of just fall asleep and then I'll wake right back up into the start of the process. I have only one time waken up and not needed to go through the whole vibrating, weird noises and splitting stuff, and it was super creepy because I sorta just woke my consciousness, and my astral body, most likely already split from my physical, fell immediately through my bed O__O.

Also, I think it really helps when your body is physically tired. Your body can then relax and go to sleep easier while you keep your mind awake. I don't recommend overexerting yourself. But working and excercising at night or something might help xD

I get the sway feeling a lot when I start to relax on my bed. Don't know why we do that, but we do.

Hope some others can offer some of their advice too :)

That's really nice David. All very interesting ^^  I'd love to have a lot of OBE's like you, that sounds cool. You seem to have a lot of knowledge and experience with this :)

Yes, astral projection really does end up altering your views on a lot of things :P I think it has caused me to care more about our fellow beings. I feel more at peace with myself and others around me. Kind of remembering that we are all "spirits." helps me deal with a lot of people that can be rude, or insulting in conversation. I know that they are simply a hurt spirit and they need to know that someone does care for them and isn't out to get them...well anyway...off on a tangent there, lol.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to reply and thanks for all your hard work teaching others about OBE :)

true.... I spent probably the first couple hundred projections in my house and didn't want to go no where. I was nervous and wanted to learn everything inside the house first. Eventually, my instructor at the time when I was taking classical guitar lessons said "Break free from the house and discover infinity". Once I got the courage up to go he was so right!!

Still even after so many years of projecting - it still can be a little scary out there..but definitely are right for shooting up to the higher planes...

Very cool on the buddic plane.. Haven't been there yet.... Excellent about the monk... Another experience like that too which was very interesting.. But in this one I saw this man who was eastern India in my OBE walk to me... As he got closer we made eye contact and I lost my consciousness. Funny thing is that this man physically walked around my city where I use to work at Blockbuster video. We bumped into each other on my way to work which I could see his eyes stare right through me like he knew we made contact.

I did not need any reassurance of that connection... He and I knew!

DW

LOL You guys scare me with your experiences but they are so fascinating...gets me on edge *makes some popcorn*. Really your first couple hundred? lol wow... I've only had about 20..... how long have you been OBEing? Do you get them everynight o.O? That's cool how your  guitar instructor knew about astral projection too. :o you must know some enlightened people lol...all my friends that I tell about OBE look at me like *,o?  :?   I have recommend they try it, but they tell me they aren't interested. I'm like...oh you have no idea how friggen cool it is LOL. You are so missin out.

Thanks 4 the reply! I totally agree with you. Ive only been to a higher plane one time, the monk said that I will be able to reach the higher planes now so hopefully I can go somewhere awesome! I've been to the buddic plane, it was made of pure white light. I thought I died and gone to heaven lol. I didn't care thought cause I didn't want to leave that place. I only got to stay there for 5 seconds. I learned a lot from that experience.

You are already way ahead of me. You thought you died going up to higher planes xD? I enter sleep paralysis and I sometimes feel like I'm dying V_______________________V It's crap because then I want to stop the process >_> I can't imagine my freak out modes if I ever do manage to get to these supposed higher planes....maybe that's why I can't get there LOL

The longest running experience I have had was roughly 35-40 minutes. How I was able to achieve that length and determine the duration was based on the alarm clock, previous journals, and how long it took for the information from the spiritual to my physical brain. Literally speaking, most of my experiences I could write in a few paragraphs, page or two.. This one took 15 pages front/back and when the experience came through I was completely blank - couldn't remember anything for about 20-30 minutes. I recall that day because I was struggling for the longest, gave up, hopped in the shower and few mins in BAM it all at once hit me... From beginning to end.. So I had to run out of the shower to my bedroom with soap in my eyes, hair and with towel... Grabbed the pen and paper and started writing.. took me about five hours to document...

Wait til you encounter angels and raise higher into the courtyards, looking out at mountains and water streaming down into the valley rivers.. Then seeing above your head energy, colors, vibrations zipping all around... while sitting around a table with guides... Now, even that experiences lasted about 10 minutes... its a treasure forever!!

Keep up the excellent work!! Just don't burn yourself out...

DW

You have a way with words lol. I was laughing at the shower part.  In some ways I agree with you, but in other ways no. I'd like my experiences to last longer because in my short ones, nothing really that "cool" happens. I kinda just float around my house. (I guess astral projection could be amazing in itself but ya know, eventually staying in your house is like okay..I have done this before, lol.)
#21
That seems super awesome. :P I can never have my astral projections last more than 2 minutes or so...so you'll have to teach us how to raise our frequency or something! I dunno if that even works, but I'm willing to try whatever because I'd really like to stay out longer :P

I dunno what to think of that girl you met...If she manages to call or post that youtube video though...Imma be freaked the hell out :P

By the way, do you manage to have OBE's like everynight or something? LOL. I'd be impressed. My best was a 3 day nighttime streak xD
#22
Wow, that's kind of freaky o.o Your 15th obe? xD Seems like you're a natural at this. I used to be able to do them a lot more frequently, but I haven't been able to really do one in awhile D:

I would have skepticism about trusting what I see in the astral. I know a lot is thought forms. I remember someone from a dance class I had in 10th grade coming into my room with my laundry. Was a wtf moment xD
#23
Well, thanks for answering guys xD How long do you get them to last for you generally,  Contenteo?
#24
How long are you able to get your projections to last? I'm genuinely curious as I often have issues with staying out for more than two minutes. I don't know why. Everything will be going great and I'll be flying down my hallway or something, but then suddenly, my movement stops and I don't have control of it anymore. It's like I "lose energy" and then shortly after, I fade out and end up back in my body >.>

How long have you guys been able to have a projection last? Averagely perceived in this time frame?
#25
LOL I astral project at night, so everything would be pitch black. Except in the astral, things are weird. I sometimes seem to have night vision, as in the scenery has a greenish glow, which can be rather creepy >o>
