You must let go of all you have learned and your most cherished beliefs, especially ideology.  Empty your mind of the thoughts that constantly distract us, mentally ask your questions and be prepared for answers that you will not like, but you will know to be true.  Challenge these truths with every ironclad argument you can come up with in the same manner.  Understand that not everything will be revealed to you, simply because we are here to learn by experience and any information that interferes with future experience will not be revealed to you.  It is a process and takes time, but once it begins you can never go back (nor will you want to).  Hope this helps. My motivation was my idealistic nature not being in sync with what I observed all around me.

A true skeptic has an open mind, and is seeking as much knowledge as possible before they make a decision/form an opinion.  Randi has no science background and yet attempts to make a debate from afar with Nobel prize winning physicists, and many highly qualified scientists who rely on empirical evidence from research to form hypothesis and theories--and usually will never make a claim that they are absolutely correct.  How he is elevated to such a position of "authority" on topics he has little knowledge and expertise about is beyond me.  If I even see his name listed as a source of information or an expert, it is enough to cause me to look no further--what's the point?  He is virtually guaranteed to have made his decision about something prior to examining the topic--and CSICOP doesn't "do" research.  This is no different from close-minded religious zealots who already "knows" everything because it's written in their book.  In both cases, once you believe you know everything, you are incapable of learning anything.

It's a Sony DSC-P32 Cyber-shot 3.2 megapixels.  Good luck with this, any information I can come up with is useful.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / reproduction

I would love to see these images reproduced.  I saved all of them on my camera, so no photoshop, etc. is allowed in any attempts at reproduction.  I maintain open-minded skeptic mindset, and if you can do this, I will be very grateful.

I always appreciate open-minded skepticism--I am not a photographer, but I never attempt to "fake" anything.  I wouldn't know how.  Please examine the following two pics and offer an explanation.  If you can successfully replicate these, I will be enormously impressed.

I'm working on going out of body.  I do have some concerns simply because of where I am.  There is a great deal of activity here, much of which I've photographed.  While this actually drives me even more to learn, I am concerned at what I'll find here.  Please reference the pictures at

Nearly every time I visit a "debunker's" site (they like to call themselves skeptics, but it does not apply--a skeptic is one who questions with an open mind).  These people already have their mind made up.  They always mention Randi, as though he's an expert.  He's compared against Nobel prize winning physicists, as though he understands their research better than they do.  If your car broke down and you knew nothing about mechanics, would you value the opinion of a trusted auto mechanic?  If you had a question about quantum physics, would you ask a physicist or a magician?  Every time I see his name as a reference I automatically disregard the site, as it's sure to be BS.

Before you even attempt it, I would suggest you contact Victor Zammit.  He IS an attorney, and he's been watching Randi for a long time now, AND, he's completely familiar with the challenge and Randi's "tricks".

Hi Captain
Picard is one of my favorite characters!  Another interesting shot is from the candle on the table.  These type of shots are easy to do with any digital, however, this one is casting a reflection.  This does not happen with light anamolies from digital cameras.  BTW, my wife is from the UK, a small town called Maidenhead.

Could be the Emerald tablet of Hermes--the writing of which was used by all alchemists, and Sir Isaac Newton spent more time on this than he did on physics.  Supposedly he managed to unlock it's secret and when asked about it refused to discuss it, stating that mankind was not ready for what he found.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Ok, I have a question
April 04, 2005, 21:13:07
Does anyone here know anything about these shadow ghosts?  They block a full out flash to obscure the wall, and I have encountered this twice now.  There is scarce information about them on the internet.  What I am hoping is that someone on this site who has done astral projection has encountered this before and can offer any information at all.  Anyone?
