Welcome to Astral Chat! / Starting a Reiki business
January 30, 2004, 02:35:26
Hey everyone, I'm planning on starting a Reiki business which will expand to other alternative healing modalities as I learn them or bring new people into the fold. I was just wondering if anyone had ever run such a business and if they would have any suggestions, tips, or hints that got them through difficult times, or made the entire process easier, which might not appear obvious at first?

Basically I've got a good idea of how everything is going to fit together - premises, target market, and all those business concepts. The business area isnt too much of a concern its just how I should go about the business that I'm interested in.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The Pleiadians & Agenda
January 08, 2004, 02:36:40
I know a lot of people have had some good experiences with the Pleiadians, so I offer this article as a means to preserve balance and assist those in maintaining it in relation to their views of this race.

Any thoughts would be appreciated, suffice to say if this is true I'm a tad miffed.

Enjoy.

Hello everyone!

After a month of holidaying in Canada, I have returned. While away I was lucky to organise a couple of regressions which produced some interesting and exciting results.

While I don't feel comfortable disclosing these, I will state that anyone interested in learning about Past Lives and those sorts of things should do some research and check it out. It was definetely worth it for myself, I feel.

Hope everyone has been well in my absence, and I look forward to continuing my contributions to the board.

The one problem I seem to have more than anything is trying to quiet my mind. What techniques does everyone else use, and does anyone have any links to resources I could peruse for suggestions and practial tips?

Thanks,

Well I was experimenting with OBE/AP and the steps required to achieve them, and I came across an interesting insight.

I've mentioned a number of times that I have been able to 'manipulate' my energy so I lose awareness of my body, well I realised that I wasn't so much losing awareness of my body as much as I was gaining awareness of my energy body, which took over from being aware of the physical one.

I'm not sure if this is what it really is, however I cannot think why I would FEEL this energy throughout my body after I "set it up" inside myself. What else would it be other than my energy body?

Controlling it seems to be difficult, I havn't tried that much yet, but tactile imaging works wonders it appears. Has anyone else gotten to this stage or felt this as well? It feels like your limbs are buzzing but you can just TELL its not them, its something else..

Thanks,

-Alex

I thought i experienced vibrations, what I just had - THOSE were vibrations - wow.

I think I projected for a second but then lost it, my hands are filled with energy argh gotta get back and try again!

I've been unable to surpass the vibrations I get, usually they are very light and if I quiet my mind enough they become very strong, but I'm not able to progress from this point because I cant stop thinking.

How can I get through this last barrier?

NOTE: Reposting this thread in here since I think its more relevant to this forum than the OBE Discussion one.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This afternoon in preparation for a Matrix marathon I decided to spend most of the day sleeping. So I naturally did some of the relaxation exercises first. I was all nice and going well and I fell asleep and found myself in downtown Brisbane (city I live in) and I got out my mobile phone to call one of my best friends, who lives in another city, to see if he was interested in flying up and attending this marathon with us (Yeah I know, absolutely crazy)

Anyway, I tried speaking into the phone but the best I could do were grunts and other odd noises, it was as if my throat had been ripped out or completely failed to function. I fell to the ground in pain each time I tried to talk. Problems with my throat chakra maybe?

This is where it gets weird, I was obviously distraught and confused, and while I wasn't concious in the dream, I was able to get out at will, and when I did it felt like I was in a portal, transporting backwards into my Third Eye. Then I woke up.

After pondering on this I felt the portal back into my 3rd eye and the fact I was able to, at will, leave this "dream" made it seem like a possibility. Also the fact I literally felt like I was returning to my body made me wonder if this was an Astral Projection.

It didnt feel like my entire body was coming back, it was as if my...Self was coming back to the entry point of my body, I dont know its really hard to explain, so I'm sorry if I confused anyone.

Wow, just spent the last 1 3/4 hours on the bed and came SO close to having an OBE or Projecting. I had the vibrations but couldn't shut my mind up, seems like its the biggest cause of failed projections for any neophyte. Some observations:

1) There was a really loud noise some way outside, say 50 metres down the road and I completely felt the energy hit me, and while it didn't hurt It wasn't nice either.

2) After extensive visualization of Astral Pulse Island and similiar exercises, the best way to reach the vibrations is to completely shut your mind up, when I managed to do this is when I saw proper results

3) First thing I noticed was when my throat and mouth "clicked" and changed and I started to find it difficult to breath, not sure if this was my throat chakra opening up??

4) One thing I won't be doing, since it effectively stopped me from continuing, was trying to force a projection. I was pushing my energy out of me forcefully very very hard, and in the end it manifested into pain which stopped my concentration attempts in their tracks. The area between my bicep and forearm got extensive pains. Some other areas felt pain but not as severe as this.

5) When the vibrations hit, I felt VERY lopsided, as if my left side was much stronger than my right, and I could feel it A LOT compared to my right, which was NOTHING in comparrison. I'm assuming this has something to do with the side of the brain I utilise, possibly? It was incredible just how puny the right side was

6) I tried doing that visualizaiton trick where you picture yourself at he end of your bed looking at you, and that just aided in ceasing the vibrations - Was I doing something wrong (I dont have Astral Dynaimcs yet, its one of my bday presents which I get when I return home in a weeks time)

Just want to thank everyone whose helped me come this far, or whose posted their own experiences to help me in identifying what I've been going through.

If anyone has any clarifications on what I've experienced or suggestions and comments then by all means please post them, I'd love to hear feedback.

Regards,

-Alex

I did my deep relaxation exercise last night, and had my entire body numb. I got a sudden heat in my feet and then I think about 10 minutes later when I started to get more and more relaxed, I think this was a precursor to what ended up happening to my head.

Basically out of nowhere I got this intense flame of heat that enveloped my entire head, along with these vibration'esque movement that absolutely scattered my vision. I had my eyes closed and it looked as if the darkness went from being normal and showing me various shapes and objects, to being like when you degauss your monitor, it flickers and moves around a lot, as if someone smacked you upside the head (minus the pain). I'm 95% sure the heat went from the top of my head down.

This happend about 4-5 times. It wasn't bad...just intense. I was trying to telepathically talk to my Spirit Guide previous to this, and believe I was succeeding on some level.

Hi I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a list of techniques that could help me to remember the dreams I'm having, I feel they are significant but I cant access them.

All help would be appreciated, thanks!

Well last night I decided to "play around" (no I don't consider any of these as games) with the concept of an OOBE experience. Seeing which areas I've got down pat and which I need attention on attaining.

So I'm in bed, after having done some reading, and as I relax my body first my arms and then my legs..Well I can feel energy inside me so its as if the energy "hibernates" and my limbs shut off. I can still feel them and can control them, but its like they go into 'Stand By' mode. The energy feels like only a fraction of it is now flowing.

Just to see what happens, I visualize my Astral body being above my physical one, and trying to leave the physical to go to it, and it felt as though my energy was getting really erratic. I was still calm and relaxed, it was as if it was trying to leave and as it got a little closer to leaving some chains pulled it back again inside of me (although I didn't feel that it had left)

In the end I just ended up falling asleep. Whats a good concentration technique to get your brainwaves to the appropriate stage? Also is music highly recommended? I felt like I could have done it if I was in the right state of conciousness.

Thanks for your help,

-Alex

Ok, a little background information. The last couple of months have seen a completely changed outlook on life, with a much more profound focus on developing my spiritual side and utilising the tools that are provided to us, as well as significantly more insight into established institutions, human relationships, and the nature of life itself. Several character traits have also come to the forefront, the most noticable being my increased compassion for people, and desire to help friends and family where I can (a trait no doubt bestowed upon me by my mother.)

I purchased a book today, "Kundalini and the Chakras" by Geneveve Lewis Paulson in the pursuit of finding more information. One of the things she stated was that an Unprepared Raising could occur while a person was sleeping, and I think this may have been my situation. She highlighted changes in people similiar to what I described in the first paragraph (among a lot of other things, these are just what I've seen apply to me.)

I've also noticed a sensitivity to energy, which came to my attention when I felt a being's presence (who was requested to visit me by a third party) and was told that the third party who asked this being to go to me couldn't sense the energy I was feeling, and believed I must be quite sensitive to it in order to feel how I was (complete awe, beauty, passion, and majesty throughout my body.) I've also noticed some pretty "full on" experiences when doing energy work (and really, I've only JUST started, this is the fourth or fifth day) Finally, when I relax my entire body I can sense and vaguely feel energy in different parts of my body flowing, especially in my arms (not sure why its so emphasised there.)

Finally, I've recently been getting spasms in real life (nothing bad just muscles pulsating without warning) and they have increased the more energy work I seem to do. They also happen with every breath when I'm actively undertaking it.

I don't want to rely on this one piece of literature for all my answers, because I think thats a serious conflict of interest when trying to get all the pieces of the puzzle. One should have numerous sources to draw upon when making his conclusions. Thus, I was wondering if people could tell me if they have had similiar experiences? Or know of people who have? Any information that relates to what I'm experiencing would be very beneficial.

Thanks,

-Alex

I've been using the White Light method graciously provided by Tayesin, and boy am I getting results! But I don't know how far I should push it and how much experimentation I should undertake.

Would people be able to provide extended actions that I could try? I figure if I incorporate peoples suggestions with my own experimentation I should be able to work more efficiently.

Thanks,

Welcome to Dreams! / My first lucid dream?
October 23, 2003, 15:41:21
Well last night I went to bed around 12:30, after almost finishing Journey of Souls. After doing some of the techniques Nagual suggested, I fell asleep.

I woke up at around 4am after having some strange dreams, where I felt I was communicating with my guides. I'm not sure if this is because I've read all but one chapter in the book in a few hours, or whether it was an actual attempt at communicating with me - hopefully I'll remember some things about it in time.

Anyway, I get up, have some water etc etc then check my email. I get a bit tired and decide to go to bed. This time its really different. I sleep on my stomach, with my arms around a pillow like im hugging it, and I go into this semi unconcious state. It feels really good, and I can hear the outside world, like cats meowing, and cars going past. But I know I'm still awake because im actively imagining things. I guess at first I was a bit confused, and cautious about this new experience.

I believe this was keeping me from going to the next level, so I manage to block thoughts etc. the next thing I know I'm in a hybrid bathroom, I know its in my house in Brisbane, but the tiling is like mine down in Sydney (where I used to live with my parents) and it has a bath like my sisters bathroom. My hands have a swirling energy around them, and I cant support or really control my self on a physical level. I keep falling down, but I use my arms to try and hold onto the walls, or to change where I fall, so I dont hurt myself. I had control of what I was doing, and I was concious, yet..I was uanble to truly control myself and walk around like a free person. Everything also went in slow mo.

I woke up and it was around 6am. So is this a legitimate Lucid Dreaming experience? Or at least on the way there? The way I felt before falling asleep was just crazy, never been in that situation. I was able to enter it 2-3 times until I woke up at 6. Also, when I woke up after this my hands felt really hot. No idea if that swirling stuff around them in the dream was energy or what but..

Thanks for any help and/or interpretation.

Regards,

-Alex

Welcome to Dreams! / New member with some questions
October 22, 2003, 04:02:58
I've recently decided to begin exploring my spirituality, and attempting to bring understanding on who I really am, and my purpose. I've been doing varied research on a number of subjects and it appears that Lucid Dreaming is the best place to start before progressing to OOBE, AP, and Soul Travel, among other things. Is this true?

I would also like to learn some techniques and exercises that work best to induce Lucid Dreaming, would anyone have links to websites that I could read to gain this knowledge?

I appreciate everyones time.

Regards,

-Alex

"Spider Circus" :

I am not wrong. In fact I am correct. Just because you cannot comprehend my statements or, I cannot relate them to you more easily does not mean that my views are incorrect.

On the other hand there are no limitations of incorrectness or "wrong" - they are simply words that limit just like "good" and "bad".

No need to get in an uproar because you fail to percieve. Good day.
#18
I stated they were inherently negative. This would indicate that at their root and foundation they have a bias towards negative vibration.

Killing someone because you were told to by a commanding officer doesn't make the act of murder positive because it was for a justified purpose. Its not positive. It is inherently negative. You might see it as positive because you are doing it for what you believe is an appropriate cause.

The same applies for magick, and the various different disciplines of it.
#19
I appreciate your response. However I never stated anything about "good and bad" but about negativity - as in negative vibration, which is the polar opposite of positive vibration, and from which balance is derrived from the existence of both.

I've been looking into magick more but am unsure as to which I should adopt so I'm still researching and reading what I can.
#20
Oazaki, what are your thoughts on Chaos and Blood magick supposedly being inherently negative in nature, and thus dangerous and destructive?

There is truth to some of the original post. But instead of pretending you have a certain quality, develop it yourself, its much more powerful then. Case in point: confidence.

Girls crave confidence. A man who is confident is in control, and knows what he's doing. I've found the better looking the girl, the more she enjoys the chasing aspect. One girl I know wont even consider a guy unless he completely ignores her. Why? Because then she knows its game on!

During the 'courting' phase, before you actually go out with her, there's no problem in playing this game. I play it at the basic level, but it infuriates me that I have to wait so long before going after a girl I'm interested in, so I always mess it up on purpose and just let things fall into place themself.

After you're going out with her there is obviously no problem in showing your romantic side. In fact there is no reason why you shouldn't show it straight away. Confidence and Romance go hand in hand, not against one another.

If you want to impress a girl, become well read, knowledgable, and interesting. Pick up your level of fitness, eat well, and if you're not very fashion-minded, become fashion-minded! Oh and cologne is great too.

Those are my tips.

Well lets see...

1) To all those people saying she should see a doctor, be careful. Judging by the nature of the marks and their severity, the doctor will be very concerned about how she got them. Telling him it came from Astral Projection is not a good idea.

2) If that women is the guide then "You're not supposed to be here" indicates a fact that you are actively pushing against the plans and desires of your Guide. I couldn't possibly consider doing this because they would bring their entire weight to bare on altering events and my way of thinking in order to accomplish my agenda here.

My intuition says the reason for the physical problems is because its your guides way try and stop you. However because your boyfriend keeps healing you and helping you, you push further and further. Sooner or later she's going to be frustrated and sick of your "going against her will".

If I was up to you I would attempt to seek an audience with your guide, one last time. Ask when will she be very to explore this area. Then don't do it again until that date. If ever.

....Or you can dismiss her, but thats not advised at all.

~ivan

PS: your post was damn hard to make sense of...

The explanation is that Doctors falsely diagnose these people with ADHD 90% of the time. They are just like you and me but they are given medication and told they have an illness because the doctor doesn't know how else to assist the patient.

Its their own ignorance and lack of medical knowledge that creates these stereotypes.
