Welcome to Metaphysics! / your own aura?

Has anyone seen your own aura?

When I was 17 yo I was in a photo-lab with my friend. We had turned out all the lights so that we wouldn't ruin the film while we were taking it out of the camera. Suddenly everything in the room became blue! I could see everything in there. I told my friend to do some faces and some signs with her hands and I saw them! I told her what she did and she completely freaked and ran out of the lab. She didn't see anything but darkness. I thought it was cool and my mom told me it was my own aura I'd seen.

Was this really an aura or was it something else??

Hello! I'm new here. Never realized there was a name for my "happenings" at night. As long as I can remember I've had lots of those "flying dreams". I'm in control and I'm flying over my town, high up in the sky. I see the lights and cars from above. I always thought it was strange that I was in control. But I've just had fun all the time when I have these dreams. I'm just playing around and flying as high as I can... until it feels really scary, sometimes it feels like I can't stop and it will hurt A LOT when I'm going down again.

Am I supposed to do "something good" when I have these dreams or is it ok to just have fun? :)

I've also had that dream paralyze or what it's called. That was really cool. Last time I was awake but I couldn't move. I saw a man in dark clothes walk by my room three times before I fell asleep. I thought it was a burglar at first but then I rememberes there was no sounds of it and it was all quiet in my apartment. I heared some faint sounds but I thought it was my cat scratching somewhere.

I've also had these dreams when I dream that I dream. It's pretty funny. :p

Also I dreamed of Sept. 11. 3 hours before it happened (I'm in Europe) But not the twin towers, I dreamed of the Pentagon crash, I was there and saw a HUGE plane glide slowly above my head and crash into the building. I heared like a thousand ppl screaming at the same time and everything went deadly cold and became scilent. I had this dream three times in a row before I woke up.

Yes my husband works about 40 km from home. He can't come home at night or his work will be undone. That's why I know it wasn't him. I also asked him in the morning [:P]

My mom talks to spirits. Atleast she says she does. I've heared her talking to them but I can't hear them, they talk through her cards and ouija board. She also has someting in a string that she swings back and forth and gets messages that way.

Nothing has happened to my boy. When he was 3 months he once said "hot-dog man" (but in swedish =korvgubbe) loud and clear. [:O]

My mom told me to ask that "dark man" who he is next time he's in here. It could be my son's grandfather according to her. He went into my son's room everytime. Creepy. (It's NOT my son, my son is only 3 yo *lol* ) And my husband was at work on the other side of town.

Cool. I've never seen anything like it. My friend didn't se anything but got totaly nuts. We had a lightbulb in there, but I don't think we used it at all. We always used the red bulb so that the contrast of light/darkness wouldn't be too big...

But I'll have to try it again... :) This was some time ago.

No, there was only one red light but we did not use it. You can't use lights at all when you are making a film because the light will damage the pictures. There was nothng wrong with the pictures after this!

hi! I have adhd. I don't sweat a lot but I have contol over my body. I don't exactly know how I do it, but I can incrase or slow down my heart rate. Also I can make my body warmer, I usually don't wear much cloths. I can go out in -17*celsius in only jeans and t-shirt without getting cold! (That's about 0*F) If you put your hand on mine you'll feel I'm warm :)

I can't exactly explain how I do it. But I do something with my upperbody, (Like when taking a deep breath and then holding your breath, but you're still breathing) and then I think of fire going through my body, from my head and down. (sort of like meditaiton) It will tingle in my skin on my back, head and my arms.

When I was a kid I slept with my window open. In winter there sometimes was snow on my floor when I woke up. I usually kicked my blanket to the floor in my sleep because it was too hot :p

I have felt the feeling of chill air in my lungs. I don't breethe I just feel it in me. The same thing about diving in the sky, I know how it feels in my body when I'm awake and that's the feeling I like and feel it when I dive obing! I've never felt the wind or anything. I don't have any hair when I "fly". Just realized that, never thought about it! Cool! :D

I think you can feel whatever you like! If you like the feeling and you know how it's supposed to feel, I believe you'll feel just that :)

The explanation is that Doctors falsely diagnose these people with ADHD 90% of the time. They are just like you and me but they are given medication and told they have an illness because the doctor doesn't know how else to assist the patient.

Its their own ignorance and lack of medical knowledge that creates these stereotypes.

The adhd dx is WAY over dx'd. Mostly because school and parents want a calm kid because they can't handle their "energy". But there are those who really have it. Including me. I got my dx as an adult! I never "slowed down" when I grew up. No drugs work on me (including painkillers or sleepingpills or anything like that).

I don't judge ppl. I hear what ppl say and that's how we learn new stuff. I don't think we're ever fully educated. I don't say you are right, I don't say my friend tells me the truth. That was just her theory.

I don't know how it is where you live, but you can't go to a shrink here and say you hear voices and be hospitalized. They will check you up very good for weeks! THEN maybe you'll get a scitzo dx. Or maybe not. :)

Sorry. I have adhd and think much quicker than I write. What part did you not understand? :)

I have a friend who believes ppl with asperger and adhd haven't blocked the "paths" to our astral bodies as "normal" ppl. "Normal" ppl learn not to listen to your mind and only do as you are told and to believe only what you see. Many ppl who's recieved medication for adhd/autism loose their abilities to see auras and loose their creativity.

I didn't know what this was called until yesterday (lucid dreams and , OBE, auras and dream paralyze). I've done this since I was a kid and it's been normal for me!

All I've done is having fun! Rollercoaster up HIIIIIGGGHHHHHH!!! And the turning down and thrusting towards the ground! :)

The scary part is how high you dare to go. I "know" high falls will hurt but these won't because I know I can stop any time I want :)

Any funny moments? Have to think... I love the night. The chill air and scilent streets. I most of the time floated above my home and enjoyed the scilence. I did have a night-time job and I got my dose of "night" at that time and I didn't travel much.

Ooopsie. I told my doc I've seen "lights". You know spirits or what ever you might call them... I wasn't labeld Scitzo. I also told her I've had dreams that has come true. I'm "labled" adhd and my doc said "That's pretty common in adhd-ppl"! *g* I wonder what else they've written in my papers! :o

My friend worked in a home for elderly ppl. There was some extras coming in to work over the night. My friend told them that they had an old lady there, she had alzhaimer's and was a bit disoriented. "She thinks she is the "boss" here." After that he went home. These two extras put that old woman to sleep in a bed and the lady was furious... she actually was the manager (she was 55 y o)! :D
