Well, this morning a little before I woke up, I became lucid in my dream. I immediately said to myself "I want to project". I litteraly saw my dream fade out. All I could see was a dark blue tint and I heard a loud buzzing noise.. like a dryer machine.

I felt myself laying on my side and I could not move. I opened my eyes and saw the floor. I was not in a good position to do the rope technique so I decided to pull to whatever direction I was facing. Immediately, I was completely flat on the floor. I began to crawl out of my room through my door (tough this is where I lost focus I think, because after that until my next awakening seems more like a dream). I crawled to the living room and saw my mother on the counch. She looked at me and said "What are you doing?".

After that I woke up in my bed. I got up but I was still feeling really weird so I looked at my hands. I was like:"Cool, I'm still out!". I saw my fingers fade out but the rest was still visible. Then I lost focus again and it became more like a lucid dream in my backyard. I also got trouble seeing. One time I had to focus just to see from one eye, then I'd get a kind of tunnel vision. It ended with a party in an orange room with my girlfriend and some of her friends. Just chillin' out. Was cool.

Oh, and after some times, I wanted to end the projection to remember it better but I could not seem to feel my body, so I did not panick and just let it go for a longer time. (which I recommend to do if you feel you can't go back)
I woke up normally with no reason some time after.

Welcome to Dreams! / Premonitions and dreams
April 13, 2004, 13:39:11

First, I assure you this is what I perceived. It beign in a dream, it is hard to tell if it is real or what not.
Ok! Two weeks ago I was at my girlfriend's house. On the morning, I was half-awaken but fell back to sleep and began dreaming about my girlfriend getting out of bed then walking on a line (like to see if you are drunk), then I swear that, maybe, a minute after this, she got out of bed and went to the bathroom (I didn't see if she walked on a line as I was still half-sleeping).
I just said it is a coincidence, then pretty much forgot about it.

Then, last night I dreamed about a video game I really look forward to play. I dreamed I had the game and I was playing it and I was having fun.  It felt so real and so "there" that when I woke up, I had the urge to go check the game's website. I haven't checked it for about 2-3 weeks, and when I got to it, I saw they released a public beta version to download. So this morning I played the game.
Still, I'm thinking it is only coincidential.

What do you think?

While reading the treatise on OBE, I saw that Robert suggested that most of the time when we start a projection attemp with the rope, we will feel a distinct sensation in the chest or on the forehead.
But me, I feel something in my hands... Am I normal? :p

Man! I am still under the shock! [:D]

My 2 weeks of hard work finnaly paid off!
Just thinking again of that shaking sensation...
The feel of total disorientation (It felt like you are VERY drunk and you close your eyes [:o)])
My view was still really blurry but I could make out my computer monitor left on in the darkness (under my closed eyelids of course :p)
I can't wait to get enough energy to try again

I must admit I  really did not beleive in anything paranormal before this (I had interest in ghosts and ufos but more to see the fakes)...but now, I think after a couple of experiences, I'll be willing to try more of that shakras and mental stuff :D

Hey there,
First, I have not been able to astral travel (yet)
Although I cannot fully experience it, I try to view it less like a mystical travel and more of a "hobby" (it's not really the word I'm looking for...)
What I'd like to know is any situations during an OBE where all you could is laugh. Some astral beign said a joke? You busted your roomate stealing your cheez-whiz? You had a peek in a bypassing aeroplane? You went to the sun and came back to see that your spirit had a nice tan?
Anything funny or peculiar(keeping in mind OBE is common :p)

If it can help you: I am not really waking up before going lucid. It is in the morning, near the end of the dream. Maybe because the body is starting to wake up.

Does the pressure feels like someone pressing on your forehead with the eraser on a HB pencil? Because I sometimes have this feeling when I try to attain trance.
I also feel it a little when I get my awareness to that point, even when engaged in some sort of activity.

(And it was SpiderMan' uncle who said that [:D])

But I must agree that scientists will not bother with subjects that cannot be explained. Even if some guy went to sleep and guessed what was on a blackboard in a locked room, they will say it is luck, or they won't say a thing and move on to something else.
It is sad that some people are not after the truth, but want only others to beleive in the same thing that they beleive in.

I am Dorkey BubbleBuns. It is a pleasure to meet you [:o)]
Imagine those names in everyday life:
"Now, let talk about the contract Mr. Toiletpants"

Or maybe it is because of the shadow memory that is not implemented into the physical brain.
Like, you actually had a projection but you cannot remember it.

Drlling? nah! Send in the five elements. (But I hope the fifth one is not a fine lady.. it would be such a waste..)

It sure sounds interesting to go check it out.
You know, to be sure. And if something really is there, one can simply decides to wake up.

Didnt the astonauts from the apolo missions saw the dark side of the moon already?

[First off, I know nothing about this. The following is only a guess]

I would say that meditation on the physical plane help to work on the shakras that are in the etheric body (ties to the psysical body) but while in the astral, if you meditate, you have all your mind free to meditate on a subject or a problem, since your physical (and etheric) body is far behind you.

[As stated above, this is only a guess that seems to me to be logical but in no way the cold hard truth]

I have a friend of mine who woke up to an inch from the ceiling, out side his body. Even if you don't want to project, it can still happen.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Chris Robinson.

Why not have an impartial judge to check all the things. I beleive companies who looks above lottery games could be hired to make a report that everything was made so no cheating could be involved.
This way, if Robinson fails, he has no excuses.
If he suceeds, Randi can say he cheated how he likes, but a form will have been signed by both parties to testify they would not cheat and did not beleive in a way the test could be cheated.

It may be a lot of bureaucracy, but it's what seems to be needed to prevent some serious arguing.

Well, from all the informations I have read (and my short personnal experience), I would be tempted to say that you were on the way to project. The separation of your conscious mind with the body may be what is waking you up. I admit the vibrations and tinglings in the body are quite strange to feel, and some people have experienced some sounds or whispers while projecting. With what you described, I am tempted to assume this feeling of dread you have is CAUSED by the sensations and not part of them. It may be your fear that causes such uncomfortable and annoying situations.
But, I am no expert, it is just my 2ยข
[:D]

I don't think that I was completely free as I still felt vibrations. I wanted to start slowly so I said to myself "All right, you went that far...you can do it again later and go farther". My feelings were really a mixed of stress of the unknown (not fear) and a lot of joy that I made it.
I felt really dizzy also, like everything was spinning around me or if I was going around in circles. It was very disorienting but at least I broke the seal of the bottle (My theory is that the first time is the hardest, then it becomes easier at each experience after that..I'll study that tough)

I started with the "mind awake, body asleep" methode I found on the forum here. When I felt that I was ready (like when you are really tired and my eyelids felt heavy) I started to imagine me climbing a big knotted rope.
It didn't take long that I felt a kind of itching all over my body. The shaking in my body was kind of disturbing but I followed Robert Bruce's advice and I ignored it the best I could and focused on the rope. Then at one point the black I was seeing (closed eyes) became more like grey. When I saw my monitor light, I knew I was doing it.

I think it's in the blood of my family tough: My uncle and my aunt both had regular concious projections, my mother has an untrained TK gift and in my young age I always had impression of deja-vu, like I already lived something (basic psychic gift perhaps? I cannot really tell)
But man, do I feel thrilled :D
