I'm worried about premature kundalini.  Before my astral projections now all I feel is a VERY STRONG pressure in my head and also a pain in my spine at a specific point around my naval chakra surrounded by strong energy sensations.  It has been like this for a while without getting worse so if it is kundalini maybe it is already through rising?  Reasons I think it may not be kundalini are the fact that there is no rising up my spine... just the two spots.  Also, I can leave my body (of course) from this state and there are no orgasmic sensations.  Recently I was further worried because the already intense pressure in my head was even stronger and while I've been awake my senses feel dull, like I'm hungover or very slightly drunk; (maybe unrelated).  I understand that this isn't the classic snake, but I've heard that everyone experiences kundalini differently.  Is this maybe kundalini?  If it's gonna rise more how do I make the nest for it?  What should I do?  The pain in my spine MAY be because of scar tissue (or something from an injection) but I don't know for sure.  My brow and crown chakras are very strong (my strongest by far) so maybe this is the cause of the sensations?

Is it for energy raising like tai chi and qi-gong?  Or is it just for flexability and strength?  If it raises energy, can it still give results if you're not flexible?
Thanks

I just started with my primary chakras 3 days ago... boy NEW works great!  I'm a little confused about something though.  With the base chakra (the first to be stimulated) Bruce says to sweep/sponge energy to it repeatedly, but with all the higher chakras he just says to sweep it there and doesn't specificy how many times.  Am I just supposed to sweep it once then move on to the brushing, stirring and tearing?  Or can I sweep to them a few times?  What I've been doing is sweeping energy to each of them 5-10 times and then moving on to the stirring etc (if needed).  One reason I'm wondering if I might not be doing it completely right is because after I've swept 5-10 times to crown, brow, or heart I don't need to move on to the sirring or any other action because the sweeping alone gets a sufficient reaction.  Please let me know what number of sweeps is most appropriate.  Thanks

I get stronger energy sensations while doing NEW in a room that is slightly warm.  Has anyone else noticed this?  Is there anything wrong with doing NEW in a warm room?  Is this the idea behind the taking a hot shower first that Robert Bruce mentions?  The reason I'm wondering if this is ok is because in my Lin Kong Jing manual Rich Mooney says to not practise in a room that is too hot or too cold because it will hinder practise.  Is doing NEW in a warm room (like 74 degrees or so) ok?

I'd like to train whatever amount of time is best but I'm a little confused.  In the NEW training guide on this website Robert Bruce says that there is no limit to how much energy should be swept into the subabdominal... he says the more the better.  But then, at the end of the guide in the "recommended daily routines" section he says that his level four program might be counterproductive for anyone seeking a high level of developement.  He seems to say there that the less time consuming "level three" would be better than four because too much energy would be spent on the awareness actions.  He also says somewhere that it could be a while before begginers gain more energy than what is spent in a session.  I do OBEs and I think my energy pathways are all clear and that I'm gaining energy, but have only been doing NEW for 2 1/2 months, does being new to NEW make it so that I'd be more likely to spend more energy than I gain in any session?  Can anyone help me understand what to do?

Thank you for your time.
Blake

Do you all agree with Robert Bruce when he says that NEW is the best bioenergy training system available in the world?  I've only been doing it for a few months, and it does seem like it's really good to me, maybe the best, but I find it a little hard to believe that something new could come along and be better than other practises that have been around for like, hundreds of years.  I agree that the sensations felt while doing NEW are impressive, but the fact that the sensations decrease with practise makes me wonder if results decrease with time too, I wonder if sensations decrease in time with other energy developement systems as well.  If anyone has any thoughts for me on any of this I'd really appreciate hearing them, I just want to be sure that I'm doing the energy program that will take me the farthest.  Does anyone here know someone who has done, or has anyone done themselves, both a lot of another program and NEW?

Hi everyone, I'm new here.  My name is Blake, I'm a 22 year old male.  I'm not sure how long ago it was that I first had what would be technically considered an OBE, but I have been practising them off and on for just over a year, and am now just geting serious about practise.  I have many questions regarding new, but I'll stick to my most basic ones for now.  I'm no expert at OBEs, but I can do them most of the time when I try, so if I can answer any questions about them in return for answers to my questions, don't hesitate to let me know.

OK, first things first, I want to be sure I'm practising NEW right.  I did NO energy raising but just cleared pathways (ie brushing/sponging up and down toes... legs, etc) for almost 3 weeks or so before moving on to the two part full body circuit.  Did I wait long enough before moving on to energy raising?  I've now been doing the energy raising for 3 weeks.

I'm doing the recommended program from this site which involves 2 thirty minute sessions a day, does that sound like a good thing for me to do at this point?  Does the thirty minute time period include prestimulation?  (I'm currently using every exercise there is that could be used for prestimulation/clearing before going on to the two part circuit does this sound OK?)

OK, my next question is whether or not I'm supposed to directly stimulate my primary chakras.  In Astral Dynamics Bruce mentions it but on the training instructions on this sight he doesn't seem to mention it and says that filling the sub-brow or heart storage centers directly is not recomended.  When should I start with this primary work if I am in fact supposed to so it at all.

Thank you for your time.  I am a hard worker and am going to practise NEW VERY long term, and I don't want to have any doubts that I'm geting the best results possible.

Thanks again.
Blake

we all seem to have basically the same result in that we do well without trying all that hard.

In his online guide Bruce also talks about pulling in energy from a crowd for an adrenaline rush type feeling.

One summer I hackysacked until I could do one thousand toe hits alternating feet.  Once I could do this I just sort of quit (because I only wanted to increase my foot coordination for skiing anyway).  I haven't practised in months and months, but when there's a volleyball or watever handy I see if I can still do it.  I'm not practising but for SOME REASON my coordination isn't going anywhere.  I read on here a while ago someone (I can't remember who) saying that they were "very sure that NEW increases coordination".  If you're really interested I say get B.K. Frantzis' "The power of internal martial arts" NEW is an energy developemant system just like others and in that book you'll read about OLD men (and women) beating up the author who was a U.S. karate champion at 19 because they had energy.  Some of the book addresses the absurd anti-aging benefits but it also simply shows just what a large role qi plays in the body.  It helps everyone, the benefits are of health and not strictly anti-aging.  Look for the part on Wang Shu Jin (that's a name[;)])

Are you guy's aware that OBEs themselves are sometimes considered symptoms of kundalini... not in all cases I suppose, but I kinda wonder for me, I did not seek the OBE ability deliberately, I just startted getting awakened by HUGE energy.
I don't know... I've been thinking about some other things I've felt... I'm not worried now, but I'm keepin' an eye on things.  My pre-obe sensations have sometimes included balls of energy moving through my legs (which do feel somewhat physical).  I'm not sure that my sensations are entirely consistent with how the vib's are usually described, in fact I've never actually felt any vib's.  I felt really blissful during NEW tonight like being high.
Well... I'll keep an eye on things.

That makes sense that it would feel like something physically coming in... that seems to fit with all I've heard.

Thanks fallnangel.  Yeah for the past two days I've avoided my crown and brow chakras, my others are getting stronger (especially my heart) so hopefully soon I will be balanced.  I think I need to keep woking on my naval too because the only strong sensations I get are right before OBEs.  One time before an OBE I may have felt the very head of the snake but it also could have just been an abnormal amount of tension in my base chakra.  I'll post again if anything weird or snakelike happens.  So I guess it has to feel like a snake for it to be kundalini?

Umm, there's somthing else now.  I've had this sensation in my head before and I even went to the doctor for it a long time ago; tonight while doing NEW the sensation was stronger than ever... it sort of tickles and it makes me laugh but I guess it COULD be described as somewhat of a brain orgasm.  I stayed completly away from my brow and crown tonight but the sensation got stronger when I stimulated each lower chakra.  Can someone tell me what they think?  I'm getting worried.

Thanks for the replies[:)]  I used to do some standing qi-gong postures, but I have a shoulder that gets really irritated, that's why I'd like to see what yoga would be like.  I'm not sure if I'll find anything (besides NEW) that won't aggravate my shoulder, but if you all have any ideas, let me know.  Anything that requires endurance in the shoulders bothers it, and it gets worse and worse with continued training.

What kind raises energy (if there is one).  I thought it might be a nice supplement to my NEW, because I'd also like to increase flexablility.

Leyla, could you elaborate on this?  What do you mean?  How so?
Thanks

Cut and paste from my other post today:
For the last couple days I've been doing something off and on during my NEW sessions that has improved my visualization and made my sweeps much more effective. I've had my strongest energy flow sensations yet. What I've been doing off and on is like: If I'm just sweeping up my legs, while I'm laying there I hold my hands above my thighs and move them along (slightly) with my awareness hands. I only move my arms slightly and only from the forearms down, (my elbows stay on the bed), but it really helps me to feel my awareness hands better and to make them work more effectively. Just because it helps me imagine them better I guess. I only do it off and on, sort of like training wheels, because after I've done it some I can continue to imagine them just as efficiently. I plan on quitting doing it once it won't help anymore but I think it's ok to do this too since it works and Bruce says that eventually we'll be able to do it all while talking and stuff and that we can do the two part circuit in any position. This also helps with my arm sweeps and stuff.

Good luck!

I've also noticed that just bringing my awareness to my foot/hand sets my whole foot tingling right away. Is this normal?

I think that's normal, I saw someone say the same thing in a case study in the online guide I think.  I guess I've had that happen a little, to an extent.
quote:
An important (for me anyway) question I'd like to ask, is any of the chakra (especially the solar plexus feeling) normal?

So wait, I assume you were just experimenting when you were stimulating primary chakras, 'cause Bruce says not to do them until after 3 months of work on your secondary system (page 172) (I guess you know that).  If the sensations in one of your primarys was 'caused just by the work you did on your secondary system, I bet it's normal, just maybe clearing or something because Bruce says the work on the secondary system greatly increases flow to the primarys.  I think you'll be ok no matter what if you follow the book and Bruce's recomendations online because NEW seems well researched and Bruce seems to have totally figured out a way to develope your energy in a balanced manner.  I guess the biggest diference between how you and I approached NEW is that I worked on clearing my hands right in the beggining, but I guess it doesn't matter.
#21
Thanks for the replies.  I've been doing like, 5 minutes of the full body circuit and then doing the primarys, but I guess I might as well do 10-15.  My solar-plexus is interesting because it seems to be off center slightly.  My brow is interesting as well... it and my heart are very sensitive to an energy sweep or two now.  I'm kinda excited 'cause of them, all are fun to stimulate though.

I look forward to hearing how it goes.  I'm excited for you!  Just keep in mind that this training and it's results takes time.  I didn't feel a whole lot at first but I really do now.  I finished a few minutes ago and my legs are still hot.

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=11339

The posts I made there will tell you a lot of how I went about starting NEW, and also answer your questions you had at the other forum of how some people's (mine) experiences got started.

I can't completely remember, but I'm not sure that I had really noticeable sensations with NEW until after I'd done the energy raising for a while.  At first with NEW, and still sometimes with prestimulation, it was easiest for me to notice NEW's affects if compared how the foot (or whatever) that I was working on felt compared to my other foot.  The difference was what was most easlily noticed.  Because of my OBEs and stuff I'd had, I think my energy body was in good shape before I started NEW, and free of blockages... I never got any big or unusual sensations that I would associate with an energy blockage.  Now I get big heat sensations accompanied with a slight tingling... the easiest way to describe it is just to say it feels like energy, with waves, slight eruptions and flowing.  Part of the reason I suggested that forearm test thing is because of the unique sensations I get with the primary chakras.  My sensations in those are hard to describe but very different than anywhere else.  A good analogy might be to say that before I stimulate a primary chakra, the area feels normal, relaxed, like a flat piece of paper if you will, then after just like less than a minute of stimulation it feels very tense, like that piece of paper krinkled up into a tight, hard, small ball.  One reason I knew where my primary chakras actually were was because I wasn't exactly hitting them at first... and an area slightly higher than that I was working on tensed up for my solar plexus, heart and brow... in other words, it was not the part I was most focused on that responded.

The way I approached NEW in the beggining was that I just did clearing for 2 or 3 weeks, and by that I mean I just went through all areas of my body with every back and forth motion that Bruce mentions for each body part, only moving to a different exercise after I got a feeling.  One thing Kalonek said (if I remember right) is that if you can't get any response you should work on the toe or whatever it is until it responds even if it takes an hour.  Remember that slight feelings indicate an energy body clear of blockages.  I'm pretty sure I'm clear of blockages, but I still get very noticeable sensations though when I'm raising energy.

With your question of measuring the energy, you might also find it interesting to know that Robert Monroe was able to affect an instument with energy moved to his hands.  His energy was also measured during his vibration states.
#25
Oh yeah, and this energy can be measured.  It's been done in relation to acupuncture.  I don't know with what instrument, but the person who told me about that was the administrative director at one of the best acupucture schools on the country.
