Inspired by another topic:

I actually have some fabulous orb pictures if anyone is interested.  I guess what makes them most interesting (besides their detail in some pictures) is that they usually show up around my son.  So dust, moisture, light, camera failure could be argued but it would be strange that it showed up in so many pictures with one person, wouldn't it?

I have many many more.

Hello Astral Pulse!!

I've been lurking here and there on this board for a while and it's finally time for me to start posting, I think.  I'm not sure if it's the norm to post brief intros but I just feel sort of weird jumping in like I have without at least saying HELLO.

There are so many great discussions here and many of you seem so helpful and full of information.  I'm happy to be here :)

I don't know what colour my aura is but I've heard of Indigos.  If I go through the checklist I fit nearly every single one (except age).  I don't like to be labeled, though :)

Yes I think some are dust or moisture.  But there are a lot of them that don't make sense and don't have another explanation.

For instance... my son has an orb that follows him around.  He's certainly not 'dusty'.

I could go on and on :)

What originally attracts me (besides, naturally, the basic physical attraction) is humour, wit and a bit of mischeviousness.  Self confidence but not arrogance.  Make me laugh... WITH you not AT you.  I like someone that's a little bit of a rebel.  Artistic and creative helps.  I don't think I've dated anyone that wasn't either an artist, musician or poet on some level.  I love well-spoken men.  Intelligence is a MUST.  The prettiest man in the world could come up to me but if he opens his mouth and says "My name are Brutus" then chances are I will be completely uninterested (unless I were really drunk and horny in which case he might have gotten a one hour stand before I was married).

To make me stick around, though, there does need to be other qualities present.  I like a man with a spine and that's not afraid to voice his own opinion.  I will probably not agree with everything he has to say but I will respect that he voices what he's thinking.  Respect is important for me from both sides.  I have to respect the man I'm with and he has to respect me.

SOME stability is necessary.  I don't mean rich by any means.  But I wouldn't want to date someone homeless or someone that couldn't keep a job for more than a couple months.  I don't want someone boring and straightlaced but completely irresponsible is out of the question.

Yes I believe everything happens for a reason.  Everything is a lesson we are supposed to learn from.  Whether or not we actually take the lesson to heart or not is up to us.

I think I love you, Douglas.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Crop Circles

I love shows on crop circles.

Funny... my 5 year old came into the room during one show that was showing pics of crop circles and he said "Look, Mom!  Stars playground!"

It's been said but I think that although a spiritual connection can strengthen or even spark a physical attraction... I don't think it's inevitable to happen.

Although from experience a special spiritual connection does make someone all the more beautiful.

Or maybe I just have my mind in the gutter and I'm thinking of physical attraction as just wanting to sleep with someone :)

It does :)  My friends all joke about it.  Right now it's bright red roots and black ends.  I just can't make up my mind.

I don't mind the questions at all!!

I have gotten orbs in photos without Hunter in them but that was when we lived in another place I knew had a lot of 'activity' in one particular part of the apartment.

Most of the time when I take pictures of other people there are no orbs.  BUT I have gotten orbs when I've taken pics with Hunter and other people.  For instance the link to the first picture in this thread.  Hunter's father is actually in that picture but I cut him out by request.  He didn't think it was a good picture of him.  :p

Here's one from the same evening where the orb is on his father's nose:
http://glamourjunkies.com/hunter/huntorb042104a.jpg

They don't appear in every picture I take of Hunter - they just seem to appear with him FAR FAR more than anyone or anything I've taken pictures of.

A flash was used for all of these although I do have a couple that have been taken outside with no flash.  I'll see if I can find those.  It is a digital camera.  I know digitals are more likely to pick up things like that - whatever it is.

I have thought it was the camera and nothing else but I still don't see why it would show up more around him than anything else at all!

I used to work with photographers and used to do makeup for Elite models for photographers but that was a long time ago.  Most of my photography knowledge is old now.  It's been a long while.  I've done some research about it online and there are conflicting theories.  From those that think it's ghosts, spirits, energy, dust, moisture, reflections... I've even heard 'undeveloped spot in the picture' although that wouldn't be the case in a digital picture.

Hi James :)

I hope I didn't scare anyone with that link.  I have a good many Wiccan friends and until very recently belonged to a coven that considered themselves Wiccan.  Wonderful group of people.  **WONDERFUL**

I guess I get impatient with those that do consider it a fad.  I used to get impatient that if I told someone online that I was Wiccan they would automatically assume I was an angsty teenager trying to be cool or scare my parents.  I've been a practicing witch for 15 years for heaven's sake!  [:D]

And although I do think that some of the roots of Wicca are based in older religions and beliefs I get frustrated that a lot of the 'fad Wiccans' believe every Wiccan book they read word for word and don't take the time to do some independant research on their own.  I mean, Gardener got most of his ritual structure from Crowley and the Golden Dawn (if I'm not mistaken) and it's unknown exactly what came from Gardner's Old Dorothy or even if she really existed.  I think it's important for people to keep questioning and think about these things.

Maybe I'm a little jaded with people claiming they got their rituals from an old family book of shadows hundreds of years old because chances of that are nearly nill.

I wonder where that shows up in my astrological chart :p

I'm probably too hard on people.  I'm sure when I was younger I went through that stage, too... I guess I want people to progress faster than I did.  Not sure .

Some were taken with my camera.  Some with a friend's camera who used to live downstairs from me.

I could think it's a defect of both cameras but when why wouldn't I get orbs around other people or myself?

I'm totally up for logical explanations but things just keep piling up!

Hello :)

I'm responding to this thread even though I don't really call myself Wiccan anymore.  I usually either call myself simply pagan or witch.

I definately identify with this:
http://www.whywiccanssuck.com/

And before you flame me to hell and back read the site first.  :)  I don't have a problem with Wicca -- just some of its followers.  The whitelightfluffybunnies that ignore real history and make crazy claims to make themselves look more important than they really are.

ANYWAY!  Looking forward to posting around here more.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Bed vibrating
April 28, 2004, 23:19:50
This happens to me often... at least it DID happen often in our old place.  We just moved a month ago and there was only one night where I had something similar happen since we've moved.  It was someone/thing kicking the end of the bed while I was wide awake.  It was pretty unsettling.

In the old place the vibrating bed would wake me up.  I'd always check the earthquake maps the next day to see if there was a tremor and 99% of the time there wasn't!

Interesting.

What's been happening to make you think the house is haunted?  You said in your post there's been no paranormal activity so I'm a little confused :)

I'd suggest not playing around with it and find a more reliable form of communication with spirits. :)
