It's been a long time since I posted too   . So I'll declare myself back in!

I had a similar thought in my last lucid dream where I wanted to jump off a building to 'test' whether it's a dream. I believe it's a far safer option to try to take off from the ground first though  

One question. Last time you said you thought the name of the place was important. This time back in the same place the man told you the name. What does it mean?

As for your questions. Is there anything missing - no. Everything is the way it is for a reason. Everything's always perfect (until we start judging, quantifying and analysing.)

I'd hazard a guess that you were in the mind-awake, body-asleep state, not the opposite.

As to the breath, maybe it was your body? Sometimes in deep trance I hear my body snoring!! (not that loudly though!) When I first had this I was in a room with another person having an afternoon nap. I assumed the snoring was his, but after talking later he told me he couldn't sleep at all and I had been making the noise!

If it had happened when I was alone I would probably have been brought back to a more conscious state and wondered if my room was haunted.

I had a very vivid lucid dream, which I took to be another dimension once. I'd woken around 5 and turned onto my LEFT side, to find myself almost immediately in another reality.

RB mentions laying on different sides for different experiences. Also Mr C. Castaneda in 'The Art of Dreaming' tells of one of Don Juan's techniques that is related. He instructed Castaneda to lay down and fall asleep whislt in a lucid dream. The position in which you lay (right, left, etc) relates to the world/dimension you shift to.

Actually, I'm not worried about malevolent entities nor do I expect them to show up. I believe that 'like attracts like', that is energy seeks its own level. Just curious as to the nature of the astral.

I firmly believe in the idea that 'we are our own gods'.

I agree totally with you on this point Major. The Godforce (or whatever you label it) is in everything and we all express it to a greater or lesser degree.

I've never to my knowledge conjured Jupiter (or any planetary force). Isn't it a technique of ceremonial magic, which I'd need training in?

MajorTom, thanks for your response. I'll take the panther as a warning! As to the question of will, I'm usually a trusting person unless something obviously feels wrong.I don't think I'd give up my will (unless in experimentation). But if I were the Lord of Darkness I'd hide behind the mask of an angel/guide/benevolent being and manipulate a person to where I want them before I strike (or trick them into giving up will/energy). That's how most of the rotten humans behave on this planet anyway. It's rare that these people are openly mean, especially before they've got what they're after. I'm assuming it's the same for discarnate entities!

So is it possible for a malevolent being to hide their true nature until they have your trust?

I'm hoping and trusting my intuition will break through any facades. However, it would be reassuring to know that one can't hide one's true nature.

Firstly Hello to everyone on the forums,

The other morning I woke early to find myself floating slightly above my body. I could feel my physical body and my etheric body at the same time. I could hear some strange sounds that I knew were not physical in origin. I heard a voice saying 'derecha, derecha' (which in Spanish means right - as in the direction). I'm English but currently travelling in Peru - hence the Spanish?

Anyway, I took it as advice to try to roll to my right to initiate an OBE. I think I tried too hard, as I snapped back into my physical body. It got me thinking afterwards, should I have trusted the voice? At the time I felt no threat and just took the advice. Maybe it was the 'dweller' giving me false info to stymy my progress. I've only had a projection from a dream - never a fully conscious exit.

Who can we trust in the OBE environment? Are there beings that help/hinder us get out? Or are we on our own armed only with our Intuition?
