Hi everyone!
I had this amazing experience recently! I was having a daynap. I started to hear the radio and very loud male voices that were discussing me (i couldnt understand a thing, but I had that impression). That is usually a symptom for an OBE for me, so started to use the rope technique to "get out". At some point, i had this sudden but extremely intense wave cross my back and legs and leave through my feet. At a moment I thought it was some astral creature, don't know why. After some short time I started to float above the floor. After floating for a while, colors started to intensify, and things to change. I floated around my flat, and everything was different, but extremely realistic: I would even say more realistic than in real life! I was so amazed and it felt great! I knew that it already was a lucid dream at that time: so floated outside, flyed around, even tryed to bite a woman on the street for fun :-) But people seemed to ignore me and acted kinda to perfect.
I enjoyed having full control of the situation, everything was like a toy: real, beautiful and perfect :-)
I was very happy afterwards :-)

By the way:
Can anyone tell me why I get OBE symptoms during a daynap so often, and only when I am not expecting anything.

ALL COMMENTS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME!!!

Hi there!

Here's some experience I would like to share. I hope that somebody can comment that :-)
I had a daytime nap. I heard this radio type of music in the background (which was only playing in my mind), and had a full but blurred perspective of the room I was in. At some point, I had a strong paralysis, and as soon as I realized it, thought about "just getting out". Followed by intense but short vibrations and falling, that even made me moan, music started to fade away. I got this hovering feeling and felt being lifted in air. But the perspective of the room became distorted and "wrong", everything looked blurred and "tunnelly". After half a minute or so, got dragged back in. Got up and felt quite fresh, which is unusual (normally have a headache after a daytime nap).
Amazing thing is, that during the vibrations, I felt my mother going near me and saying something passively about some blankets. Later I found out that at that time she was in another room looking through some ads and thinking about buying some blankets.
I hope somebody will comment on this one, because I wouldn't mind some opinions :-) Thanks
PS: Tryed some APs before: no success, although got to Torso-surge stage. Also started practicing NEW recently.

Regards,
Andrei

Hi, everyone :-)

I had this experience, that I hope somebody can explain. I practice NEW system and had some warmth and tingeling at stimulated areas (toes, soles, etc) during awareness exercises. Recently I went to a camp for a week. I hoped that during that week a closer contact with nature, healthy food and a lot of activity would increase those sensations. Well, what happened was exactly the opposite: I stopped having any sensations at all, although there was enough of motivation and free-time. Any ideas?

Hi! I have a question on NEW. In Astral Dynamics, stirring action is the where you imagine stirring your point of awareness in the area of an energetic center in order to activate it. I found that if I imagine using a small electric mixer applied right in the flesh of an affected area has more effect. Is that too violent, or should I go on with it?

Andrei

Hi, everyone!

RB's tutorial on N.E.W. refers to some Pictures, that are not in that tutorial. A map with primary and secondary energy centres would be quite useful. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Thanx :)

Hi :-)

I've started practicing N.E.W. recently. At the same time, physical tiredness and depression-kind-of condition appeared. Can anyone give me any advice on how to overcome that?

thanx

Not the first time here, but hadn't intruduced myself yet!
My name's Andrei (21), I am from Austria. Studying Elctronics.
I enjoy visiting this forum and think that one can learn a lot here :-) Hope to make a lot of AP progress and wish you all the same. Good luck :-)

Hi :-)

I read a lot of interesting experience with AP here in forum. I know it's sometimes hard to distinguish between lucid dream and real OBE!

I was wondering if anyone had some 100% approved OBE experience with according symptoms (alice in wonderland effekt) he/she would like to share!

Hi, everyone!

I am new to AP and had this strange experience recently. The intensity of my vibrations got so high, that my eyes opened! The interesting thing is that they went on for a while with open eyes. How is that possible? Is an OBE with open eyes possible?

Hi everyone!

I had this thought, maybe somebody can explain. When people sleep, their astral body floats above them. Some people, when having nightmares, start to move their body chaoticlly (shake their heads, etc). How is that possible, I thought that full relaxation is required for the AP?

Hi everyone!

Yesterday evening I tried my first OBE. I have been practicing relaxation techniques for a very long time, so I had no problem with the first stage. At some point, I started to have following sensations:

- strong acceleration in chest area;
- EXTREME vibrations in my whole body;
- strong (real) heartbeat;
- strong vibration of eyelids;
- tension in muscles + sweating;

Afterwards, I had a feeling that my hands got bigger and fatter. Warmth in the whole body.

I had those vibrations 3 times, but after each one, could NOT "move out of the body", even after trying to "climb the rope". I also didn't see anything. Sounds were more or less clear.

The third vibration was so intense, that my eyes opened, and continued with opened eyes! When I finished, I felt dizzy and a little bit sick. My whole body felt as if it was not mine and it felt weird. After drinking a glass of water, everything was back to normal.

Please help me understand what happened! Thank you!

Thanx for your replies :-)

Don't you find it amazing that a lot of people hear those radio sounds before exit? What is so special in them that makes one of the symptoms?

Maybe people actually recieve the signal from a station? Sounds quite unbelievable, because one has to demodulate it, which is not easy, but maybe our brain adapted such a function in itself!

Similar to what stephen~ said, sometimes during a day, I have a strong feeling that I have to lie down and take a nap (mentally exhausted), and usually during these naps, my OBE symptoms show up. Recently I started drinking more water (to fight my headaches) and this tiredness became very rare (as well have my headaches dissappeared).

But that lucid dream was so amazing and real, though short. I wish I could induce it at will during every nap! That would make me a very happy man!

First of all, it's great that you have the motivation! Find for yourself what you are trying to reach, what it your aim? Don't want to judge anything, but sometimes overpractice can harm your progress.
On the other hand, you might just have energy blockages (or leakages) in your body, that don't let you project. Did you try practicing NEW?
And remember that the spent practicing is very valuable and was not wasted! So don't get dissapointed :-)

Try projecting during a day! You can see better in RTZ and there's a less chance to forget your experience. Also find a position, where you can be totally relaxed and not fall asleep at the same time (for me it's simply lying on my back).
I, personally, have never heard it happen that during an OBE, someone's body got possesed. In my opinion, a healthy human body will never let this happen! Actually at this very moment, many people have some astral beings stuck on them, sucking the energy (first thing to get rid off during a good projection). I used to be scared of AP before: I thought that it's very easy to lose the way back to your body and one can die (this is more or less a "near death experience"), but it turned out to be not the case :-) Human energy system is very strong (especially when it's well developed) and has many ways to protect itself! Good luck!
By the way, an unexperienced Astral Projector (like me :-) ), has a sort of reflex that gets you freaked out when you approach AP - you hear noises, etc. Don't get scared - it's just temporary, look at it as a challenge :-)

Good luck!!

Andrei

I tried to project the next day the same way: taking a daynap. Unfortunately, no AP happened (at least the one I would be aware of). Why do you sometimes get OOBEs and later under same conditions - not? How can you increase the frequencies of successfull OOBEs?

Being paralysed during an AP is a unique feeling that you know for sure if u have it or not.
Reaching an AP is not that simple, and it needs a lot of time and efford! Practice more with it and some day, you'll make it :-)

RB describes fully how to do an AP. Read his book! Good luck:-)

Hi, Andali! Welcome to the forum, nice to have you here :-)

What you've most probably experienced was a consious OOBE. In that case, you did everything right. You might have run out of energy or got overexcited, which stopped your projection. You might also have some blockages in you legs. Keep on trying and after some time, you will get more experience for a better OOB control! A great help is NEW (see downloads on this site) - also a great thing to start with.

Good luck for you and your friend!

Lol :-) Nice experience, Rastus! I liked the part with the quicky :-)

What kind of powerbuilding do you mean? How did you prepare for that?
#22
How did u prepare for the exit? Did u do enough relaxation (~40mins), induce trance state and loosen the Projected double? Only afterwards can you apply thought pressure! If u still can't make it, try using some variations of rope technique (one-handed, water-ski, etc). There are also other methods: Big-wheel, ladder, point-shift, etc. See which suits you most. A good excercise to increase the effektiveness of those methods is washinghands and steamengine excercises. Good luck :-)
#23
I guess you're right, Rastus... A lot of energy went on training! And I think that accomodating to the new environment needed some time: home is home, you know!
#24
A great help is to practice NEW :-) good luck!

Could be, Naiad780... Although, I loved that place very much! I also practiced more than 5 hours of hard kungfu every day during that camp: could that have affected my sensations?
