1 - Have you ever encountered more evolved beings?

a) Not sure what your definition of "more evolved" is but I'd say yes

1.1 - If so, describe the place:

a)On a street in a town I used to live in,
b) Another time hanging from a rope bridge miles in the air

What were they like:

a) She had a hawk's body and a woman's head ( In greek mythology this is what is called a harpy, but she was much nicer than the harpies in the movie Jason and the Argonauts if you've ever seen it and she didn't look anything like them!) she wasn't exactly scary, it was more that I was filled with a sense of awe, that I was in the presence of power.

b) A bluebird/magpie type bird with iridescent blue/green and white feathers that smiled at me then flew at my face and seemed to merge into me.

what have you learned from them:

The Harpy showed me a vision of us together in a former incarnation as a Merman and Merwoman on a green skied water planet. So do I believe that I'm actually a reincarnated alien Merman? erm still scraching my head about that one. Would be cool though.
The bluebird merged with me and I could see throught it's eyes as we/it flew away

2 - What have you found out about life on other planets?
a: That there may be a green skied water planet out there somewhere with humanoid merpeople.

3 - What was the most interesting conversation you had? What did you ask/say and hear?
a: It would have to be the Merman thing, but like I said it was more of a vision than a conversation

4 -  Describe 3 things/creatures that you saw there, but never saw here:
A Harpy
The smiling iridescent bluebird/magpie was not like any bird I've ever seen before
A cute lady with fangs that kissed me

5 - If you've been able to read, what did you read about? How many consecutive words do you remember?
a: I seem to have astral dyslexia. Letters change around, words become harder to read the more you look at them. I've wondered if maybe a study of OBEs and brain function could shed some light on the actual condition of dyslexia in the "real" world.
5.1 - Have you read words you haven't seen here before?
a: "Koiatari", saw it written on a sign what does it mean? No idea, probably nothing. A Google search turned up Koi carp and Atari computers

6 - Ever learned special tricks to be used there?
a: Not really

7 - Ever received a solution to a problem?
a: No though I once dreamed the solution to uncoding a coded message in a puzzle on cereal packet.

8 - Describe the most amazing thing you saw:
That would have to be the Harpy again

9 - Describe the most amazing thing you did:

I escaped from something nasty that grabbed me by morphing into a bird and flying away ( This was a different ttime to the aforementioned bluebird experience)

10 - Describe your most amazing validation:

As an experiment, I tried to locate a friend who I'd lost touch with when he'd moved to Germany several years before. I found myself walking along the familiar beachfront of my hometown (Where I no longer live). I found out about a month later that he was indeed back living in my hometown.

11 - Ever had your astral body malformed or defective? What was it like?
a: In my first ever experience I tried to look at  my astral body and my leg appeared to be right in front of my face. I don't think malformed is the correct word it was more that my eyes were in the wrong place

13 - Describe the 3 strangest sentences you heard:
Nothing comes to mind

14 - Describe 3 things that you still want to try in the astral:

Time travel
Visit the Akashic records
Meet more non humans

12 - What interesting things have you found out about the Universe?
a: Everything is energy,

15 - If you believe in a God, what clues have you gotten about it's existence?
a: Only that he's a mathematician apparently

16 - Ever been lectured on the process of Creation?
a: No

I've read in various places that your subjective angle of entry into the astral can affect where you end up. Robert Monroe mentions this and Robert Bruce but I've never seen it so precisely mapped out as this anywhere. http://www.thehoodedsage.com/writings/spirit_worlds/index.html. Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this

I plan to cautiously test it out in future OBEs.

I used to have regular bouts of sleep paralysis too, it can be very unpleasant, like being buried alive in a coffin the exact size and shape as your own body. Sorry, that mental image probably doesn't help much does it   :| Someone, I think, in this forum, suggested that concentrating on just moving your big toe will break the paralysis. I've never tried that but something that did work well for me is simply just relaxing and opening my eyes. The eyes apparently, are not paralysed in sleep. Many times this has worked for me, but once, I only thought I'd opened my eyes. I was seeing my room but my eyes were actually still closed. That was Astral sight I guess.

I eventually realised that the trigger for my sleep paralysis was my sleeping position It would only happen when I slept on my back or on my right hand side but never when I slept on my left side. Just some things that you might want to test out. If you know you have control over it, you'll know that you don't have to start panicking and fighting against it.

I can confirm though, that if you can just relax and go with it, sleep paralysis can be converted very easily into an OBE. Try moving your arm, and eventually you should feel an astral arm moving, then move an astral leg then just stand up and walk away from your body. Hey presto you're having an OBE.

The buzzing in the ears is a normal part of the OBE experience. But I've also heard what I now believe was a radio station, It only ever happened once though.

Just before my very first OBE experience. I kept hearing what sounded like a Frank Sinatra song getting louder and louder along with major vibrations. There was no radio on and I thought this was pretty strange. I was just trying to get to sleep and it was irritating me that I kept feeling these vibrations through my body together with this loud Frank Sinatra music in my ears! Years later I read this. http://www.astralvoyage.com/projection/Radio_waves.html which seems to confirm that you can pick up radio signals while APing.

Don't see why not . If you can visualise you can probably become it.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Shape Shifting

Quoted From Robert Bruce's astral dynamics.

OBE Hitchhikers

a rare type of OBE problem that affects approximately 1 in 200 projectors at some time in their life .....

....After the exit you become aware that some being is holding on to you from behind. You often see a pair of arms encircling and holding on to you. This being may be silent or may speak and make threats or threatening sounds....

...You will often see a rough looking male face with glaring eyes...

....The consensus among projectors is that these hitchhikers are attracted to fear...

Robert goes on to say.

...Shape shifting can also be used (as one method of getting away from them)

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Shape Shifting

Nearly forgot this one. APed from a sleep paralysis state and got grabbed  by what I've since found out is called a hitchhiker. it didn't do or say anything but it had an iron grip around my midsection and I couldn't loosen it. It didn't phase me at the time, I just visualised myself morphing into a bird made of flames (A bit like the spaceship on Battle of the Planets!) and flew away from it. Like I say, it didn't phase me at the time but the whole experience freaked me out for a while afterwards.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Shape Shifting

I had this experience once. Which started as a lucid dream where I was hanging upside down from a suspension bridge over a beautiful valley. A bird with bright blue and white plumage appeared. It  looked at me for a while and then flew right into my face. At this point I felt vibrations as in an OBE we seemed to merge and fly off. I was now seeing through the birds eyes. Eventually we landed in some town and I was a person again. I explored the town for a bit and then it ended. It definitely felt like a major spiritual experience and I had a feeling of elation for days after. What it all meant though, I don't know.

This post interested me because I've had a personal experience of this. I witnessed a friend of mine being attacked by one of these things. For this reason I tend to believe that it is a type of entity not just a sleep disorder. My understanding is that it need not necessarily be a demon.

The occult explanation of the old hag is that it is a type of spiritual vampire. When a person dies, their etheric body remains earthbound for a period of time before this energy is used up and they then experience a 2nd death. Sometimes a spirit that is reluctant to move on learns how to  avoid this natural process and maintain a semi presence on the physical plane by draining energy from the living. Every culture in the world has it's own old hag myth.

This time of year is always good to look back and reflect on what's happened during the last 12 months.

My first ever AP experience happened in 1992 with nothing notable, up until this year that is. These are a quick roundup of some of the AP experiences I've had this year some were deliberate attempts on my part others started out as lucid dreams.

1) Definite shamanic flavour to this one. Started from a lucid dream. I was hanging upside down by my feet  from a bridge. Way high up in the air over a beautiful green valley. A bird like a magpie, but with bright blue wings was perched on the bridge looking at me. It flew at me and landed on my face. I seemed to merge with it and I was now looking through it's eyes as it flew into the sky. We/it landed in a town with trees a river and shops. I seemed to be in human form again I spent some time looking around but eventually must have just gone into a dream as I can remember no more.

2) Had been  having a lot of dreams about an old friend of mine who I'd lost touch with. I felt that maybe he was trying to communicate with me.

After projecting from a dream I decided to try and find him. I just expressed the intent to go wherever he now was. The last I'd heard of him, he'd gone to Germany to be with his son. And this was where I was thinking I might end up.  I was quite surprised  to find myself walking along by a familiar beach in the seaside town where we'd both grown up. I never actually saw my friend but got distracted and the experience ended abruptly.

Interestingly, A couple of months later my father who still lives in this place confirmed that  my friend had indeed returned there earlier this year after a 5 year absence.

3) During a lucid dream I expressed the intent to go to ancient egypt. I flew through a black void for what seemed like several minutes. And eventually found myself in what appeared to be an egyptian street market, with men in white robes selling goods. These men saw me and crowded round trying to sell me items. I realised though that this could not really be ancient egypt. The men were white and wore modern spectacles! LOL. Strange.

4) A Deliberate attempt at an AP resulted in a major AP which lasted at least half an hour. I found myself in a state of sleep paralysis and just rolled my astral body out of bed. I was in a state of astral blindness. When I felt something grab me and pull me downwards. It seemed to have an iron grip on my astral waist. I was still blind but didn't panic. I just imagined myself morphing into a bird and flying out of it's grip laughing like a madman all the while. I eventually found myself near some wooden buildings when I got taken by the astral wind to yet another place.Somewhere near the sea in what seemed to be some kind of cool surfing community Where I met and talked and walked with  a couple of girls, who seemed to know me. As I was walking down a street past bars and cafes I was drawn back to my body and that was that.

5) I had Another attempt at an AP when I woke one morning and felt a buzzing sensation I knew I was close to projecting  but couldn't quite seem to get out. Just then an REM lyric came into my head "When I was young and full of grace my spirit did a rattlesnake" This suggested to me that I could wriggle out of my body like a snake shedding it's skin. As I did this I thought I heard a voice in my ear say "You're learning!"
Again I had this astral blindness. Reaching up to my head I felt what seemed to be dark glasses! I took them off and I could see my room quite clearly! I went up to the window and looked out. My garden had disappeared and rolling hills were there instead. I just dived through the glass window ( No broken glass, I just floated through)and found myself ouside. 4 dogs were there just sat looking at me. I floated over to one and patted it on the head. I then woke abruptly much to my frustration.

There have been a few others as well but these are the ones that stick in my mind the most. I'd be grateful to hear any insights or comments anyone may have about these experiences.

For years I read the works of Carlos Castaneda with fascination. But I've always wondered how the apparently unique philosophy of the Yaqui sorceror can be reconciled with other spiritual philosophies.

The passage below is quoted from http://www.castaneda.com regarding the assemblage point. Put simply, the assemblage point is an area of our energy body that attaches us to the multiverse. Moving it through acts of will, shifts our perception allowing us to perceive other realities.

I'm just curious. Has anyone ever seen this assemblage point as desribed? Does it perhaps correspond to a specific Chakra?

When human beings are perceived as conglomerates of energy fields, a point of intense luminosity can be perceived at the height of the shoulder blades an arm's length away from them, on the back. The seers of ancient times who discovered this point of luminosity called it the assemblage point, because they concluded that it is there that perception is assembled. They noticed, aided by their seeing, that on that spot of luminosity, the location of which is homogeneous for mankind, converge zillions of energy fields in the form of luminous filaments which constitute the universe at large. Upon converging there, they become sensory data, which is utilizable by human beings as organisms.

Thanks for the clarification Ant. I've found a few websites that also place the assemblage point in the chest.
#13
That's interesting Ant. Castaneda is very specific about the position of the assemblage point though. Did you ever question the person who made the diagnosis about what he meant by assemblage point? Sometimes people use generic terms to describe different things. I'm interested to know more about the "inner vision" that you mentioned. What is it exactly? How do you activate it/use it?
#14
I've always been skeptical regarding channeled messages, but I suppose it's no stranger than Astral travelling itself and I know that to be real. So who knows. Funny how all this stuff keeps leading back to 2012.

I'm also reminded of things that Whitley Streiber has written in his journal entries at his website http://www.unknowncountry.com

He relates a story that he was told by a concentration camp survivor that children would sometimes disappear without trace from locked gas chambers much to the annoyance of the Nazi guards. He theorised that extreme mental trauma in some way enabled these children to literally escape from their reality.

If psychic trauma affects the position of the assemblage point and your assemblage point is what holds you in this reality then it follows that this could happen.

I've read the book but don't have it with me right now to check the page numbers.

But anyway, Wow! You actually changed the past? I'd love to hear more about that.

Thanks for those responses. Definitely Some new leads to follow up. I hadn't heard of Moen before.

I never saw it (or anything in fact); but I doubt it could be a chakra, since it is located out of the physical body; and you can ultimatly move it anywhere inside your energetical body...size=1]

Is it the case that Chakras are only located in the physical body? I thought that they were all located within the energy body and extend from the physical outward, I've never seen one either by the way.

I have tried finding my hands in lucid dreams / APs and on two separate occasions saw them glowing with blue light (another time they just looked like I was seeing them underwater) But I digress.
