I can't agree more with what Nay has said. Last Sunday night (2/1/05) I had my first 'vibrations' that kicked in after I kept my mind awake whilst my body was asleep. This has taken less than a month to do and I know that it will only be a matter of time before I will be able to have a full astral projection, but even if it's a year or two down the line I won't mind as I realise it takes time and as they say "Rome wasn't built in a day". Keep it up and not before long you will progress. As I said before, I have only just begun taking a real interest and reading up about OBEs/meditation/NEW techniques within the past month and can easily be regarded as a complete 'rookie' but I know that with a little practice I will progress well, as you also will. So keep it up and don't lose faith.

I read in an aging astral projection book of mine (sorry can't remember the author) that this kind of 'jerking' or 'jolting' whilst asleep was actually your astral being pulled back into your body and not your astral trying to leave your body. The term phrase was called 'repercussion' if I remember rightly, and it basically means that your physical body brings your astral body back into syncronization with it very quickly due to several different reasons such as when you have a violent lucid or vivid dream or when you have a falling dream for instance where you suddenly jolt after hitting the bottom or face of a cliff/tree etc. Apparently this 'repercussion' is part of the whole astral experience and everyone has one from time to time but they don't quite understand nor realise what it is.

Thanks for your help Nay. Ive been to this site already but as i stated I only can purchase items from the UK as I only have a cheque book or hard Sterling UK cash. The Gateway Experience sure looks very interesting to me and hopefully will help me to project controllably. I think I have had a few projections as the vivid/lucid dreams were so powerful and realistic. I should hope to build on these experiences and try to understand myself better, hence the need for the 18 Cd's that come with The Gateway Experience.

Just watch out for that black ink guys!!! R.Monroe had an encounter with the Astral Police in one of his books- 'Far Journeys' I think it was and to mark him as an offender he was made to put his astral hands in some weird type of ink that didn't come off until the next time he projected. This was so that every other entity could see that he had done some unlawful act, although he claimed it was only a minor offence (not paying for the use of an individual isolation/containment booth in Locale II)!!

PS I wonder if Sting, Stuart Copeland and Andy Summers are part of this law enforcement in the astral planes!!!!!They'd pull you up for Walking on the Moon!!!!! sorry rubbish joke!!

Guys this silvery cord is classed as the Astrals Umbilical cord that leads from the physical )usually from your 3rd eye) into your Astral (usually at the back/base of the neck/head/Throat chakra). However R.Monroe and a few other well known projectioners have talked about this cord in their books and describe it exactly as you both state. 3-5 cm thick, feels like rubber and is very elastic, so elastic it travels and stretches everywhere with you when projecting. Most often than not you wont recognise the signs of it being there. However the name 'Umbilical cord' suggests that you should leave it well alone whilst projecting in your astral as I have also read that if the cord is broken instant death or permanent separation between the physical body and the astral will occur!!! So please don't meddle or snap bits off as this may have horrible repercussions!!! As my mum always used to say when I went to the sweet shop with her 'Look but don't touch'!!

Love and peace!!!

Ive been looking around eagerly for Monroe Institute Gateway Experience Wave Collection in the hope of purchasing the collection I-VI in CD format. Does anyone know where I can get this from within the UK as I don't have any other payment method other than UK sterling. Much help and support appreciated.

PS I couldn't find where to put this in an appropriate discussion forum so I hope that it is relevant to this forum.

Love and Peace!!

Hi all, this is my first post. Id like to recommend Robert A Monroe's book Journeys Out of the Body as he states on numerous occasions that to attain an OBE he started using these kind of tapes to get out of his physical when he first was starting off and was pretty new to this sort of thing. He later stated that his mind got used to adjusting the frequency 'manually' and didn't need to rely on them as such.

I've Dled both the Brain wave version and the MP3 version and am willing ot give it a try on my iPod tonight. Ill let you know if anything happens tonight

I have already started listening to it whilst typing earlier tonight and it some wierd effects ive never felt before begun tio occur. It started with a  strong clenching sensation in my chest (like trapped wind or heart burn, although I donot suffer from that). However, once i turned it off the clenching sensations disappeared after a couple of minutes. Wierd!!!
