Hi,

You mentioned the astral encounter and wondered whether it was an astral travel or a lucid dream, but a lucid dream is also somehow an astral travel. You can travel in the astral by inducing an out of body experience , but also when you become aware in your dream you travel in the astral.

But actually there are different theories. Some say that a lucid dream is nothing but a lucid dream, others tell that a lucid dreams is certainly astral traveling. I do believe the last, because I feel right about it. I cannot imagine that a lucid dream is nothing but a dream. I guess you have to find out for yourself how you see a lucid dream and an astral travel.

I cannot help a you with the elephant problem, a lot of things one finds there are in some symbolic way and are very personal. Maybe this helps a little. But you can meet a lot of normal and very strange beings out in the astral. So those elephant are not really strange.

What you see in the astral is only influenced by your own thoughts, feelings and opinions, not those of others. (So the thoughts of mental patient would not influence what you would see in the astral).

And, no, I don't think it is crap, nothing in the astral or in our dreams is crap. I believe it all means something.

Hi,

I red the description of your post, are you from the Netherlands? (At least I am, it is funny to fine some people from the same country).

I read some recognition in your post, I have also had lucid dreams for as long as I can remember. It is very amazing to explore that world. It contains lots of possibilities to learn and to be able to grow spiritually.

I only found this site a week ago. It contains some good stuff and information about lots of interesting subjects.

Hi,
I have had lucid dreams since I was a small child. I had always believed I was in a different world, a real world somewhere out there in a different dimension.
Then I began to read about the theme, I found it quite frustrating how everyone told different things. Because of what I red, I have believed for a while that lucid dreams where noting more then dreams with more consciousness.
But it had a very negative effect upon my lucid dreams, they did disappear.
When I found back my believe in lucid dreams, that it is just like an out of bod experience a way to explore a whole different world, that my lucid dreams did come back.
I did a course to learn to astral project/or induce a out of body experience, but till now I did not had one.

But now I even believe it more, that one can astral travel, and it does not matter if one enters the astral by a lucid dream or an out of body experience.

Hi,

First of all I do not know anyone with the interest in lucid dreaming, so I don't even speak of it because I know most people find it strange, they don't understand it or don't believe in it. So I don't bother them with the subject.

About the dreams that helped me healing emotional wounds;
A few times I just went to the place that was connected with my emotional wound. Mostly a place has a strong connection with the memories of what happened there, so my dream already create the scene that took place there. So knowing that I dream I can change the way I did act when I got the injury in everyday life. In stead of being a victim I can now fight back, or just try to not be influenced by the people that caused my emotional wounds.
Sometimes I just ask my dreams for help with a specific problem. If I am lucky the dream (normal dream no a lucid one) sometimes helps me by creating something of use. It is really funny how it sometimes woks (it does not work always). It is up to the dreams what they want to how us, and what is useful for us.

PS. Ever heard of soul retrieval?

Hi,

Thanks for liking that name. I made it one day I had to create a pseudonym. Orion was already in use, also Andromeda and every single name for the constellations I wanted to use, so I thought, I put something in front of it. I have always been a searcher for the truth of life and so I thought, I want to be light, good, but I still am searching for it, and am influenced by the bad, and have not yet reached enlightenment, so I thought little star is nice (it has the potential to grow). After I created the name I found out that Orion is actually a big hunter. Something with power, and that is actually quite useful when fighting against negativity.

A little story behind my name.

Hi,

I was once depressed, but I actually used my lucid dreams to be able to get over my depression. In my lucid dreams, I could visit the scenes that caused my depression and I was then able to change them. By doing that I also changed myself.
I know that one could create anything in a lucid dream, the environment changes when you think different.  It is really working, for my, maybe for some one else this would be different. It depends a lot onto how you think about it. If you believe it is impossible, it certainly will be impossible in your lucid dream, cause that is what you created by yourself.

Hi,

I just found this site. I think it is a nice place to be able to "talk" with people with the same interest. I did some courses on the Mysicweb site, about astral traveling and gaining more consiousness.
I like everything that deals with that, specially astral traveling,.
