Whenever i try that " waking up early " trick, i just feel terribly hungover, and when i go sit on the couch to try to get into a trance i just feel cold and uncomfortable and i just want to go to bed. I feel like an idiot so i just go back to bed. Maybe it works for some people, but definitely not for me....
Here is what works best for me.
When my girlfriend works an early shift and i work a late one ( we are both working in a hospital ) she always wakes me up to say goodbye. I'm usually in my last cycle of sleep anyway, so most of the time she wakes me up in the middle of a dream.
So here it comes : When i go back to sleep, i just picture the last place I've been at in the dream VERY CLEARLY when falling asleep. Most of the time I'll dream the same dream again, but this time with more consciousness, or lucidity, whatever you call it. I can then control my dream. Then i simply increase clarity ( just by asking or demanding, works fine ! ) and I AP.
I don't always have vibes, and I'm not sure it's an actual projection every time or if it's something internal. It is always very cool and very easy to do, though, so i try it a lot.
