Is it easier to AP / LD when on sleeping medication if so which would you recommend?

Thanks!

I have read many guide, personal experiences and articles relating to Astral Projection. I believe it, and I have a strong emotion to experience it although I am still unsuccessful.

I currently for the past week or so have been listening to brainwave entrainment products such as Brainwave Mind Voyages Astral Projection CD. I get to the state where ideas are just rushing through my head as if my mind was making up a story and I was just listening, I am completely aware I can move my body if I want yet it is so very heavy and relaxed. Many time I also feel swaying back and fourth internally.

About 2 years ago when I first looked into Astral Projection I had experienced what I would call vibrations yet since then I have not experienced them again.

My question is what are some "beginner" methods to Astral Project and how do I know that I have reached the right mindset, and that it is the right time to Astral Project.

Thanks,
MANHUNT

After reading online about SP I have come to the conclusion that it is completely normal.
QuoteSleep paralysis: During REM sleep the body is paralyzed by a mechanism in the brain, because otherwise the movements which occur in the dream would actually cause the body to move. However, it is possible for this mechanism to be triggered before, during, or after normal sleep while the brain awakens. This can lead to a state where a person is lying in his or her bed and he or she feels frozen. Hypnagogic hallucinations may occur in this state, especially auditory ones.
Many cultural references include witches and hags, so your experience seems to just be another variance of what was said before.

WOW 46 Views and no reply yet? It would be greatly appreciated if someone with some experience with Astral Projection could classify this for me.

Thanks,

It was about 9:00 AM today and I went to the school clinic cause I was not feeling very well in class. In the clinic they have what I would classify a bed, without covers or anything. I was laying down and was thinking to myself why not try to Astral Project, the best way to do it is if you wake up and then go back to sleep. So I thought to myself "I will have an OBE, I will have an OBE." and said a prayer I do not remember anymore of being awake.

I then felt as if I was getting up but my entire school was rearranged and was completely concious or at least it felt like I was. I then thought of something happening and it actually did, problem was the outcome was totally different then what I had expected.

I started to actually wake up I thought to myslef wake up, and it was like a reset button I woke up but the school yet again was rearranged. I started to get nervous and tryed to physically wake up, I did I could most definetly tell the difference between "real physical" and "dream state." When I woke up though I had a horrible head ache which I did not goto sleep with. I am not sure what to classify this as, it may have just been a Lucid Dream which is what I am thinking it is, or it may have been Astral Projection.

Last year the same thing happend when I went to the clinic I was not even trying to I woke up headed to all of my classes and then "physically" woke up to the bell ring, I was like what in the hell is going on.

I just would like someone maybe to have a rough classification of what that is, it would be greatly apreciated. Thanks  :D

Well,
I do not know what you would call this quite strange actually. I know whenever a TV is on in my house. If there is one on I just have this sense that it is even if it is all the way across the house. Once it is shut off I do not have that feeling anymore. I can be sitting on the totally oposite side of the house and when someone turns it on the other side I know.

Exactly what I would like to know. very interesting. Although this is possible to do for those of you who do not know what a chakra is,

QuoteOne of the seven centers of spiritual energy in the human body according to yoga philosophy.

You can perorm many things utilizing the chakras and what I am assuming is this so called "massage therapist" knew how to stimulate those chakras. Please ask your fiancee what it was called she went too.

Thank you very much for the replies. I am also wondering how many people here go about trying to AP. It is a very natural thing it just semms as though you have to train yourself to be able to do it frquently or have it on command, although I do not believe it can be on command.

Hey,
I have been interested in AP for awhile now and have relized it is true and is very real in everyone. Below is a story of what may be my very first AP I am not sure if it is and if so it is a very "minimal" AP.

When I first started to get into AP I was very into it. After school everyday last year I could not wait to come home and try it out. One day at school I went to the clinic because I was not feeling very well. I was very tired and laid down, I felt like I fell asleep. I woke up and was walking around the school I saw the class I was suppose to be in and walked around for what feeled like only a few minutes then the bell rang and for real I woke up I thought I was already up but really I was still sleeping. It felt very real and very refreshing.

I would love to know what that was, if that was an AP it was the first I have ever had. I am still trying and will keep everyone updated.

Thanks,

Hey,
My name is Jason I am 16 and am very into learning how to AP. I personally have come close to APing the vibrations, REM, etc. but have never succesfully APed. Still trying

I personally believe if you are doing it for a good reason it is not as bad as people perspect it as. If you are trying to help someone and you find a way to do it it is worth it, in full.

I have not yet successfully APed yet but I have gotten to the point were I feel like I am and have vibrations. Well when I usually try to AP I do it to sounds, I use this preset from BrainWave Generator  http://www.bwgen.com/presets/desc570.htm I also listen to a few others but that is the main one. This Friday me and a few friends are all gonna listen to it and we want to see if one of us can get out. But I have heard of supposedly helping people get out so if one gets out but someone else is halfway between you can somehow help them. If anyone has any helpful information or knows how to help someone get out, I would appreciate it if you would post. Thanks  :D
