Quote from: ralphmI have found that trying to have projections(I use the sleep interuption technique) increases lucid dreams and long epic-type dreams. The only weird thing is that I have so many dreams of astral projections that it gets hard to sort out real ones from dreams-I guess that is why they are connected, at least in some people's opinions.

Yeah. When i first started projecting i noticed i was getting crystal clear dreaming and lucidity. If the theory of when you dream your projecting is true, then you could look at projection as exercising those dream muscles making it easier to remember or gaining control. Thus if you "project" while your ' conscious it betters the possibility of having lucid dreams.

Yea. Its pretty normal here around these forums. People usually use that technique to enter a Lucid dream.

Welcome to Dreams! / Tree Set Afire

I had a dream 2 weeks ago that i was running from a man and as i was running up the block i noticed a couple trees that were on fire. I took a branch with the fire on the end and set the guy blazing crispy. It was a very vivid dream too. I've wondered what the tree ment but never noticed anyone who had a dream like this.

Welcome to Dreams! / Dream in a dream?
February 02, 2005, 00:01:42
I had one of those before my mother passed. I woke up and her and my father were arguing about nonsense as usual. I took a shower and brushed my teeth and next you know I'm awakened. Yea they suck, man. I got mad because i had to start everything all over again. That wasn't the only time though I've had nights where i got 4-5 FA's. Now that sucks.

Welcome to Dreams! / Excitement!

Not really exciting but i had to get your attention. I had a dream just about yesterday in which i am at this park with my father doing something i cannot recall. The park had this little building up front with a lake view and we were walking up toward the building. For some reason i decided to go back, and it all of a sudden became a store and i had a shopping cart. I looked over by the building and noticed a couple of people i knew before but went about my business. When i was done "shopping" i started walking up the pathway to get to the building, but i couldn't get there because something was restricting me. So i decided to take a short cut. The shortcut consisted of me going threw a forrest then going threw the park river.

As i was going threw the park river their was logs ontop in order to cross and if you didn't make one you fell into the water. Being the fool i am i decided to just jump in the water and go for a swim. When i got into the water i noticed their was sharks there. I took out a knife i had and began to cut them up and finally made it up out the water.

Another dream i had that night was about my old friend coming over and showing me some old pics of me. --- Any info on what these dreams could mean?

Knuckle to be honest, you have no real choice but to follow it. If you ignore it it will get worse. You have to face your fears - Read more on it. You have NO choice. Sorry dude. But this is the type of stuff you really can't control and if you try to control it it just gets worse. All your symptoms are pretty common although mines are different. I hear sounds, see lightning and multi-colors (Sometimes, this is usually when I'm "Astral projecting") but I don't feel pressure, or my heart beating. The first time it happened i did feel like I was going to die, who wouldn't? If you know nothing about this subject its just natural for your mind to react to it in a death' matter. The second time it happened i felt it much stronger, i felt pretty horrible too. I was actually able to move my feet against the wall and tried using my feet to push the rest of my body out of this state. Although i woke up in the position i went to bed in i still think it was my etheral body, its known that when you project to the RTZ that things will be sluggish and slow and will almost feel like your paralyzed. Especially if you didn't know what was happening like me.

A lot of times when this happens especially with the Multi-colored like tunnel i know I'm going to Astral project. And its extremely easy for me to come out my body. I just float out.

Good luck.  :)

Hey dude. I remember when that happened to me. It scared the crap out of me, all i can say is : get used to it, because its going to happen a lot more to you now. The more you think about it the more it will happen, but you'll get used to it and eventually not be scared. I first had it like you described - except i was trying to get up and the more i tried the more my body double was rising. *Sigh* I had no control over my physical - i was rising but i think it was my etheral body because everything was pretty real, but a little blurry and hard to move kind of like moving threw snow. I also heard the noise, but to me it sounds more like a lawn mower or a tire caught in the snow.

But, i get it naturally, kind of - I think it was triggered by the first sleep paralysis i had. Ever since then i started having these strange things happen in my sleep. I've had more dreams where I'm trying to OBE in the dream - then end up in the state you described. One thing though did you open your eyes? I had one of these episodes earlier this morning. And noticed everything was shaking or it could of been tearing. Oh and i don't try to have OBE's either. Be happy, most people would kill to have a gift like this where you can get to such a strong state without trying.

PS. Welcome to the wierdo club.  :P
