Ah, yes, Astral Travel.  I remember my astral travel days.

It was fun.

Got too much on my plate to start another journal at this time, but thanks for the suggestion and offer.

Nice to see someone I know here.

Hey Reality Failure:
Thanks for the wake up call.
I have to get over here more often.

My life has been really stressful with a certain part-time job. Look forward to changing that.

What is the MAP?

Quote from: RTCovenantInteresting, massage schoo.

Are a lot of massagers interested in stuff like this?

I hope you enjoy the forum.
RTCovenant:
Well things change.
I can't get financial aid because I didn't pay taxes a few years back.

Oh, well, it was a good vibe.  I can still massage people.  Hopefully won't rub them the wrong way.

I write.  I want to be a writer, a published writer.

I think this was a lesson for me not to ignore my work that I am here to do.  I don't need a degree to do that.

Leannain and Frank:
Yes I am feeling very welcome here.

Nice to find a new group home with people of aligned purpose and like mindedness, even if we are all diverse.

I love the topics:  dreaming, magick, astral travel, psychic protection, quantum metaphysics.

right up my alley.

Welcome to Dreams! / We all dream
February 06, 2005, 03:01:56
Quote from: Leannainlol,i rarely even dream.well if i even do,i don't recall them often.i have very wierd sleeping habbits =)
Leannain:
Studies have shown we enter REM sleep every 90 minutes, so everyone dreams 4 or 5 times a night.  Obviously because of your restless sleep you don't remember them.

There is also something else after REM called Mindless Sleep, where we are definitely out.  We don't even dream here.  This might last 7 to 20 minutes.  It is where we are totally rested, and some say "One with God".

We definitely never remember them.

But I guarantee you, if you wanted to start a dream journal, you'd start remember your dreams.  But that is only if you want to.

If you do, I would record even fragments.  I have found dream fragments are full of little gems, sometimes more so than Epic dreams.

Leannain:
Thanks.
Its part of what I do.  I am also starting Massage School March 6.  And my other goal is to get a certificate in Alchemical Hypnotherapy.

I know my path is healing and teaching.

My dreams bring me a lot of joy.

Do you keep a dream journal, Leannain?

Welcome to Dreams! / Collective dreaming

Quote from: wispThanks for the invitation, Sunwolf. :) I went there and discovered you have to sign up first. I'll have to do that when I get a chance. Your sight sounds very interesting.

Wisp:
Thanks.  Yes, you discovered a regular board, like this one, where you have to sign up with a user name and password.

It is a new site and we are growing about 1 person per day.  I have been a dream team moderator at Way of the Wind, over at Sea Life for over a year.  Dream journaling can reveal alot!

I am not interested in having hundreds of people join, just the few that are called.  Quality is better than quantity.

I also think conscious dream work is more important than lucid dreaming.

A psychologist friend of mine said this about the site, and dream work in general:
"Dreams are a powerful means of communication of the psyche with the
conscious self, so I feel that what you are putting together is awesome."

Hope you decide to join in and help us create a neat site.

All these dream groups popping up are doing really great work, in helping Earth Consciousness grow.

Welcome to Magic! / Teacher and Healer
February 04, 2005, 23:11:51
My path is as a teacher and healer.

I have been raised a Baptist Christian, got into yoga and meditation at the age of 18, and then discovered Aleister Crowley and magick.

I am also into Dreamspell, the 13 Moon Calendar.

I believe Dion Fortune and Frater Achad (Charles Stanfield Jones) pioneered some great magickal paths and work.

I belong to an online group:  Horus Maat Lodge.

I believe that there are future beings of higher consciousness guiding those who hear to new ground and better consciousness.

I moderate a dream team called Way of the Wind.

I am also starting massage school.

Let's see, did I leave anything out?

Oh, yes I am a professional psychic and want to also get my Alchemical Hypnotherapy certificate.

Nice to meet everyone.  Look forward to learning and getting to know some interesting people here.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Defining dreams
February 04, 2005, 23:03:47
Quote from: twoWhat would you call a dream in which you find yourself completely lucid. You're not being carried along in any story, you just find yourself standing somewhere and you can see your hands and it's the most amazing thing because you know you've woken up somewhere else. And there you are and you can't believe it and then you see people. Then some approach you. Sometimes even seems like they're waiting for me to wake up there.

Two:
I've been lucid like that.  I think presently the whole LUCID craze is a sacred cow, but I will say this anyway, I don't think gaining lucidity is the purpose of dream work.  Its a nice feeling though.

Earth First Dreaming School
http://dreamofpeace.net/earthfirst/index.php
"An open source conscious dreaming group, were all individuals can read and comment to each other's dream journal. We suggest using Jeremy Taylor's "If It Were My Dream" approach, and writing dreams in present tense. We are dedicated to reviving the dreaming culture and exploring our collective dreaming. Members still have their own journals in one of thirteen dream teams. You join the dream team that is the tone of your Dreamspell Galactic signature, but otherwise you don't have to be keen on Dreamspell or know anything about the 13 Moon Calendar. You don't even have to know anything about dreams."

In search of the Philosopher's Dreaming Stone...

Invitation to Earth First Dreaming School

Are you interested in your dreams?  Do you keep a dream journal?
Do you have a hunch that there is something deeper going on with collective dreaming, some kind of dream magick, perhaps?

My Earth First Dream School has been opened on Yahoo egroups since last Spring.

Now we have our official forum open :
Earth First Dreaming School is part of the Star Foundation, along with Sea Life forum based in Australia.
"Every woman and man is a Star."

We believe in the value of all life, human, plant, animal, etc.  In fact the whole Planet is a Star!

EFDS has been open for two weeks. Already we have 13 members and I suspect it will grow quickly.

We are looking for people who are interested in dreaming and keeping a dream journal.  You don't have to know a whole lot about dreaming.  This is a very supportive group, with lots of networking if you care for it.

This is a shift in the education paradigm, making learning fun again.  Our focus is around dreamwork and magick.  We use the 13 Moon calendar in a unique way.  There are 13 Dream Teams in section one, Dreaming Feathers and a person applies to join the team that is their tone in the Dreamspell.  For instance, I am Red Self-existing Dragon, so I am in Team Four.

We have a dream team application and a section to introduce yourself in our welcome area, which is named Kuxan Suum after the Mayan term for Universal Umbilical Chord.

Section Two is called Dolphin Dreaming and is divided up into 5 dream teams:  Green Balance, Green Joy, Green Purpose, Green Peace and Green Harmony.  This section is dedicated to Dream Alchemy, Magick and Enchantment, as the Green glyphs suggest.  A person may post their deeper, magickal dreams in this section and the 5 teams are for Collective Dreaming, not just one person's journal.

Finally the inner sanctum of EFDS is Revised Silverstar.  This is by invitation only, and if you are dedicated to dream magick and dream alchemy work, let me know and we can discuss what this section will be used for.

What makes EFDS distinct with Sea Life is that on EFDS one belongs to a team, and only a person can start a thread in their own team (definitely their own online dream journal), but everyone can read and comment on any person's dream in any team.  I feel this will add to the synchronicity and cohesion of the group.

We recommend folks post their dreams in the present tense, though diversity is accepted and its not a fast and hard rule.  I'd also request people comment on dreams in the form Jeremy Tayolor suggests,  "If this were my dream."  I have found if I really put myself into this role, and make the dream my own, then I am really saying if this were my dream, and I have ahas as well.  This also usually triggers more collective dreaming with my own dream work.  I recommend Jeremy Taylor's book "Where People Fly and Water Runs Uphill", 'using dreams to tap the wisdom of the unconscious'.  I agree with him that dreams come in the service to health and wholeness.

Let me know if you have any questions.
