Welcome to Dreams! / Re: UFO Attack Dream
November 09, 2006, 12:51:54
Here's my take, and to keep it brief and not overanalyze or to quote each example I'll just say as a whole what your dream might represent.

I think that you have been presented with a situation that enables you to move forward in your waking life, perhaps a new job or a new relationship, or a change of residence.  Something that you desire, yet are uncomfortable with the 'unknown' aspects of it. The What if's?  Your heart is interested and you know the right thing to do, and you have come to terms with it, yet you haven't made a decision to move forward with this offer that is layed out for you.

Zarklon,

There are a couple of things that make me think that my impression is something you might want to seriously concider.

Quote1.similar to an incident that happened a month earlier resulting in me passing out on the floor and waking up to my body shaking uncontrollably for a few moments and almost repeating instantly

It sounds as though you had a seizure, came out of it and went right back into it.  My husband has done this many, many times. He also has the same precursor to his siezures, he tells me he knows he's going to pass out.

Quote2.The first time it happened I thought it was maybe cause I didnt eat ...

Diet does play a part in all aspects of life, but unless you have really low blood sugar or something like that, it shouldn't trigger you passing out.  I too have a very fast metabolism, and have the same eating habits as you do and I have not ever passed out.  I do feel weak and sick, but have not passed out.

Hopefully you have insurance and you can go to your doctor, explain what is happening and have him do a simple blood test.  If they all come up normal you can bet your doctor will refer you to a neurologist.

Here's another aspect you need to concider:  When my Husband started his 'episodes' he too was into drugs like I mentioned previously.  Nothing much was addressed by his parents, as I said they chocked it up to pot and whatever other halucinegens he was into at the time.  Well, he grew out of the drug scene and still had 'his episodes'.

We had taken him to several doctors for MRI's and the like but nothing ever showed up.  We blew it off yet again.  Then one day he's driving a work truck on the freeway and gets that feeling of passing out.  He tries to pull over, but doesn't make it in time and crashes (we now call it Mr. Toad's wild ride).

Obviously he had to go to the hospital as he was pretty banged up, teeth knocked out, hand ripped in half, (I'll spare the gory details) but it took a plastic surgeon over 5 hours just to stitch up his lips.  (you get the idea)

ANYWAY they assigned him a neurologist in the hospital and it was finally diagnosed.  The hospital had to report the accident to the DMV.  He had to go in front of the board of the DMV and plead them to keep his license.

That is a huge part of what I'm urging, I know I sound like I'm the doomsayer, but if it continues and your blood tests come back fine, I think it's worth looking into.

Sorry in advance if I'm butting in but it sounds exactly like what my Husband does, or did.  After years of what he called 'passing out' I witnessed him do it and finally took him to a neurologist.  It turned out he has a mild case of Epilepsy.   I suggest you see a neurologist as soon as possible.

Epilepsy is a part of the brain that has 'gray matter' or a dead spot.  When the electro magnetic fields pulse on that part of your brain it triggers the seizures.  He went to several different doctors before they finally found it, and they only found it because it happened during one of the tests.  His spot was so minute that they never caught it prior.

There are several types of epilepsy:  childhood ~ which you can grow out of. Adolescent ~ which you grow in to, and grand mal ~ which you have your entire life. (there are others but that's just the basics)

I don't know your age, but I highly suggest you have it checked.  When he started to have his seizures he was in his late teens, they too thought it was from drugs.  Whether there is a connection or not to the drugs is a mute point, it is something that really needs to be addressed medically.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Advice?
October 06, 2006, 17:57:07
Enoch, that is great advice!  Might I add a tidbit?  OBEguy if you haven't achieved an obe as of yet.  Ask yourself a dozen times a day if you're dreaming.  When you really are dreaming, ask yourself in your dream is this a dream?  Once you've determined that you are lucid then you can take control, you can fly or whatever you like.

I personally have had many, many OBE's in fact since I was 9, but during the dream state. I have had only 1 conscious OBE and that was just recently.

As far as the vibrations go.. are you trying to achieve a conscious OBE or trying to get them while you are waking up or going to sleep?

I think a conscious OBE is much more difficult to try, as Enoch said (and probably others too) it is much simpler to start in the dreamstate by becoming aware first.

Good luck to you, and I will post my next waking vibrations and keeping my fingers crossed.

Thank you Enoch and Kiwi for your replies, I think I get the jest of what you are saying.  I will try this method the next time it happens.  Hopefully it will be successful and if it is, I will certainly let you both know!!

Thanks again!

What a great idea!  Now the trick is to get something that doesn't also do an english translation.  What have you found so far for usage?  Do you think an audio book would work?  Something of that nature? or have you downloaded something?  I'm interested to try this as well.

I remember a dream I had many years ago, the whole dream was in spanish and I remember thinking during the dream that all the words translated in my head to English.

Thank you so much for your well thought out reply.  I do try to remain calm and I recognize the vibrations to be connected to the astral, that's the frustrating part.  I think what is happening is my mind is waking up and thoughts begin to process, which obviously makes the vibrations go away.  But it's more of a fading away than a sudden deflation.  The whole process takes a few minutes.

I guess I was also wondering if you have any type of ritiual or 'thing you do' that keeps you in this particular state, since the vibrations are quite intense.  Oh and while I'm thinking of it, this happens pretty much every morning. So I want to take 'advantage' of the situation and do a conscious exit.  Perhaps I should set my alarm for an hour ahead of when I am supposed to get up and then another alarm for when I actually need to get up?  Do you think that might fascilitate my exit?  Plus, like you recommended, affirmations.

It sounds as though you know EXACTLY the feelings I've described, and I'm grateful that you replied.  It's difficult to do the mind asleep body awake thing, but I think I might try the seperate alarm method.  I don't have any idea why this hadn't occured to me before!

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Advice?

I am open to suggestions from those who are frequent conscious obe'rs and AP'rs.

Here's my dilema:  I am a frequent flyer for astral travels and OBE's, my situation is when I wake up is when my body is completely buzzing. It's as if I am either on my way IN or it would be a great time to exit.  So.. I would like to attempt an exit upon awakening, yet after a few minutes the buzzing sensations subsides and I am awake.

Even when I try to go back to sleep and maintain the sensation it still fades.  So, how do I

1) maintain the buzz
2) consciously exit at this point

or am I buzzing because of re-entry?

ugh, thanks in advance for helpful hints and suggestions.

Why were you able to see him after that date?  The date he died you mean?  People have visitations from loved ones that have passed.  Most of the time they write them off as a really vivid dream.  (I guess this perception might depend on your belief system) IMHO you were able to see him because he really visited with you, in spirit and in the astral.

It is also not uncommon for a loved one to be visited within 24 hours from passing.  I've read many accounts of people having several different types of visitations, yours (at least to me) was a classic example.  It is a surreal feeling to say the least, as I speak from experience.  Another thing I'd like to mention is that they usually do appear in their mid 30's, which also defines your classic example.   :-)

As far as your first experience, he said you couldn't go any further because this is where you 'went with him to say goodbye' and he had to leave.  You couldn't go any further because literally you are still in physical form.  You took him to that building in the astral.  Sorry I'm not being very clear but, does that make sense to you?

Novice:  It would seem that you too had a similar experience.  I've read about the healing place, or the stopping place or whichever term people prefer.  It's supposed to be a stopover from physical to spiritual.  If you need to acclimate to your new realm.  It's supposed to be where we get our life review and identify the things that need attention.  For everyone it's different (obviously) because it's created personally for each of us, sort of like our own manifestation of what we think our healing place should look like.

Similar to Synergy's experience, this building was a manifestation of what would make sense in a visual format as opposed to being 'out there' in the astral and floating around to say good bye.  Now I sound even more bizarre than before.. hopefully you get the jest of what I'm saying?
#10
It would seem that you already realize that this was a visit with your Father.  Also, that you are aware of it being and out of body experience.  I would tend to agree with you on both counts.

As for the building being significant I would assume it was more a visual aspect for you to 'see him off' to his destination.

I noticed that this occured almost 5 years ago, (Oct. 17) so I'm wondering a couple of things.  Have you had any visits with him since he's been gone?  If so, were they in the same building type structure?
#11
I had one just recently, I thought it was kind of funny during the experience also.  It is:

I was trying to get the most out of the 9 minutes between the snooze button and I'd turned over to my left side and dozed again.  I was in that half awake half still asleep state.  Then I felt my astral body pull out through my back, and then in to my physical body and then out through the front.  Sort of like it was a blob of sorts, like a blob of jello.  :?  I thought this was a weird, thick, fluid feeling and kind of chuckled at the sensation.  Then I became conscious of it and realized, hey! I am able to have a concsious OBE.  So I said to myself... 'k go.  (LOL) and I waited.  Nothing.  I was still lucid and was patiently waiting for me to get up and exit from my physical body.

Then I realized... I was waiting for me!

So, I chuckled in my 'state' and lifted my astral arms up and out and then simply sat up and got out of bed leaving my physical body.  I was still laughing at myself when I got out.

Astir,

Just so you know, most of the portable cd players also play mp3, I picked one up for my 8 year old son for about 25$.  It doesn't have to be an IPod =]

Kiwibonga,

Great words of wisdom!  I will make a conscious effort to emit positive thoughts even though it's difficult at times.  I guess a combination of music to 're-set' the psyche and then an emission of positive thoughts.  Sort of like re-booting your self at that moment.

Vilkate,

Too funny!  Playing dead!  I used to hide when I was a kid, and I don't mean for hide and seek.  I mean I'd hide for literally hours.  In closets, under beds even in the dryer!  What an odd girl huh?  lol
#13
Astir,

I can empathize with you.  Pun intended. I completely understand your thoughts and feelings.  I too have the same issues.  I have a terrible time going to the grocery store if someone standing next to me is in a bad mood or upset I feel exactly what they feel.  Compound that with more and more people... it's a bucket of fun isn't it?

I also had to chuckle when you said that when you were little you thought everyone knew how you felt, I used to think they knew what I was thinking too since I knew what they were thinking!  Again, I can relate.

The only suggestion I can come up with is a diversion tactic.  If you have a mini mp3 player, Ipod or something of the like I would suggest you keep one handy.  Download into it some music that soothes you.  I find that most meditative music, flutes, or even rain forest type stuff will calm my energy.  When you get the overwhelming feelings just pop the headphones in your ear until you are clear again.

Oh, and as far as your teacher goes, the one that hated you? It wasn't because of the 'state' you came from, it was because this teacher sensed that you 'knew' inside her and you made her incredibly nervous.  Go you!  Wonder what she was hiding... but believe me when I tell you this... she knew you could see inside her soul. She may not have been able to put her finger on it but I can tell you from many years of experience that was her core problem.

Hope this helps!

QuoteSpirit energy?  Could you elaborate on that for me? I am not completely sure what that is.

Hi, as in it could be the energy of some one close to your friend that you able to see

QuoteOh, and by the way... I'm a She :vavoom

 Lol sorry ! my mistake    I dont know how long you have been aware of bieng sensetive but it sounds as though its a very natural gift for you, regards Marcus x

I was thinking it was his biological father, evidently he'd heard a rumor somewhere that he passed.  I think his Adoptive Mother has all of his records, it's not a 'sealed' case or anything.  He just doesn't want to ask his adoptive parents for the info.  kind of a sensitive issue I suppose.

I have been aware of being a sensitive since I was very young.  Not to mention other fun gifts I possess.  When I was in my early teens my family told everyone they thought I was a witch!!!!  LOL

QuoteHi, i couldn't tell you what it was, maybe you will never know, by the way you described watching it leave, it may well be spirit energy? Ive never seen anything the same, so i couldn't really comment.

As for are you in the right forum to ask? I don't know really? lol, I'm just another guy like you using the sight. Best Marcus

Spirit energy?  Could you elaborate on that for me? I am not completely sure what that is.

I'm probably not in the right forum, I don't think there is a forum for THAT question!  LOL

Oh, and by the way... I'm a She :vavoom:

Marcus,

Thank you for the suggestions! As far as my friends misty energy I should give you a bit of a rundown:

He is a co-worker.  One day I walked into his office and saw this 'mist' behind him.  I thought he'd been dusting!  I didn't say anything to him.  A second time I saw it, I walked in to his office again and it was beside him, near his desk.  Again, I didn't say anything, as I wasn't really sure what it was. (I'm a little slow on the uptake with this one!)  The third time I saw it, I walked in to his office and it was ON his desk.  I looked at it and asked him... what is that? He couldn't see it, but again I thought he'd been dusting... sort of like when you pound on a dusty pillow or sofa.  Then this mist sort of rolled around like a fog and then became sort of pointy at one end and floated of in the direction of where it was pointing, and then dissapated.

His energy is fine, his mind is open and he's not a negative person.  In fact, when I told him about what I kept seeing he was open to the idea and we began to discuss the possibilities.  Then I smelled fresh pine, I mentioned this to him and he said he was told that his biological father was a construction worker.(he was adopted as an infant and never met his biological parents) My co-worker doesn't tap into my energy level at all.  I am also an empath, so I have a tendency to take on other people's emotions and his are pretty stable.  (Thankfully, since I sit next to him 8 hours a day!) lol

He even asked me to tell him what the 'white cloud' means and quite frankly, I have no idea.  It's the only one I've ever seen.  Have you any idea as to what it is?  Or am I in the wrong forum to be asking that question?

Hi PHG!

Good points, that explains why my jaw tightens and I become very shaky and shivery and get chills and sweat all at the same time!  That's a great way to protect yourself, I'll have to make it a point to put up a wall the next time it happens.

On the other hand, the side effects I just mentioned are also my own little way of feeling that someone out there is trying to get my attention.

Must be a happy medium in there somewhere.  No pun intended!  lol

I had a funny spontaneous OBE where my cat and I had a conversation.

The situation is this: I have a cat her name is Miss Kitty, she's about as prim and proper as they come, very dainty little feet.  My daughter talked me into getting a Maine Coon (my favorite breed) as a kitten he was all boy, he'd attack Miss Kitty and she hated him, still hates him for that matter.

One afternoon I fell asleep and Miss Kitty was laying next to me, I become lucid and then I exit... I go downstairs to check on my kids and I see Miss Kitty in the hallway.  She starts rubbing around my ankles and begins to talk to me in the softest southern drawl, just like a debutante!  She starts telling me (read this in a soft southern drawl)  how much she doesn't care for the new cat, he's just such a brute.

I was so shocked that she spoke to me and then I told her... also in a southern drawl.... why Miss Kitty, you are a southern belle!  And she said, why of course I am!

I woke up with a start and Miss Kitty was still next to me and she was staring at me with the strangest look on her face!

Hi all,

QuoteIt's quite important to know exactly who you are talking to when communicating with non-physical entities. Just like people on the physical plane, there are spirits in the astral who enjoy pretending they are something they aren't. When asking for a guide's help or advice, it's prudent to ask that only your highest spiritual guides with your highest purpose in mind communicate with you. The highest guides are obviously going to reside in the highest planes. They lower their vibration to be able to communicate with us, but this does not mean they are an entity of lower vibration. A strong command that only the highest guides communicate with you usually does the trick.

Sometimes I do what I'd term a spontaneous reading, whereas I'll be sitting there talking with someone and from behind them I can see a discarnate.  Sometimes the people I'm talking to are complete strangers and other times someone will be talking about a person, maybe just relating a story to me and they'll 'show up'.  I can see these people in faded color, they are see through but I can get details, like if they wore a baseball cap all the time, or a flannel shirt or whatever.  Or, I'll smell something.. if they were a construction worker say, I'll smell fresh wood or if they were a cook I'll smell food.

So, in that essence I am not concerned so much as to 'whom' I'm speaking with since I can see them and relate information and visuals to the person I'm talking to.

Other times, my grandma will show up and bring along what I call 'a friend', if I'm reading for a sitter I generally ask my Gram to bring them to me.  Sounds bizarre, yes, absolutely.  Sometimes I just see a cloud of white, at first I thought it was my eyesight (lol), but now I realize there is a person who I know that the only time I see this 'cloud' is with them.  Wonder what's up with that?!

QuoteAs for enteties that want to pretend to be somthing thier not, that would my opinion entirely depend on your own development and what your motive is for channelling them. I truthfully dont suffer from that problem. regards and thanks Marcus
.

Agreed, I hear people over the years talk about all sorts of strange things that have happened, and I think to myself... am I naive?  But I personally believe that a persons belief system and the intentions behind the reading have a lot to do with what you encounter.

I recently went to see Peter Close and he spoke about just this subject.  He basically, in a nutshell said.. if you look for deceit you will find it, when you look for negativity then you will find that as well.  **shrug** made sense to me
#20
The first spontaneous OBE that I recall was when I was 9, I'd had other strange occurances prior to that like flying dreams and when I was 7 my sister and I had a shared dream.

I've had spontaneous OBE's my whole life, it's only recently (in the last few years) that I've become aware that I can induce them.

Tvos,

QuoteJust can't wait to have the day when I can say to my child "can you get me a beer from the fridge"..:) j/k

Who's kidding? I do that now!

My children's ages are: 16, 12, and 8. Between homework and sports and work, cooking, cleaning, trying to spend time with my hubby.. doesn't leave a lot of down time for OBE's.  Mainly I rely on LD's to induce my OBE's.  Thankfully, I'm getting much better at recognizing my 'sign post' and exiting.  I love the whoosh feeling when I exit.

I am considering getting a mini mp3 player with the tiny speakers for when I go to sleep.. that might help to induce them.  I did find there is a certain vibrational sound that is very hypnotic for me. When I hear this particular sound it takes minutes for me to get into that weird suspended state. I found this out by accident

Quotei think the important part is recognizing these traps to make yourself a better person and a better projectionist. i would have probably made it to the highest astral plane by now if it wasn't for desire...

This aspect of getting to a higher projection plane is certainly a major factor.  Once you have overcome your desire, or at least recognizing it for what it is, you are 'supposed' to used that pent up energy for projection.  However, that doesn't catapult you to the highest level.  You have to graduate one level at a time.  The sexual level that you appear to get 'trapped' in is on the 2nd level.

Time doesn't permit me to go back to bed during the week... 3 kids in school and I work. I might try it the next time it happens on a weekend, In fact, I'll make it a point to do so.

I was thinking this morning that I am going to set my alarm for an hour before I need to be up and then set a different one for when I need to get up during the week to see if I can't induce them then.

I do find that reading about OBE's and Astral Travel keep it in the forefront of my mind so that helps too.

Did you read that on line book from the link I sent you?
#24
Tvos,

I think by trying to only sit on the wooden spool to observe is an interesting concept.  Do you wish to journal these experiences and or are you trying for control over the projection?  For documentation and verifying purposes?

Have you considered taking a nap and having another person within the house doing something in particular while you attempt at projection?
#25
I guess that's what I assumed it to be, and I suppose we don't always remember being out of body.  It's just that when I am 'aware' of being out, I don't wake up with the vibrations and when I'm not aware of it, I wake up with them.  Weird, I know, but curious just the same.

So far it would seem that the people who have posted an answer to your question are all over the place as well.  Some wake up right away, some feel vibrations, some no vibrations at all.  Some upon return and some upon exit.

Interesting.
