I guess a good thing to do initially, would check with a doctor first to see if this is a mundane physical problem (even a potentially serious one) instead of assuming it's energy related. In other ways, it could be psychosomatic. I know the feeling of that, because before i've also kind of created and reinforced a little problem and made it a big problem. It was something similar. A kind of dull tension in my eyes and head that made silent sitting pretty difficult. Only, because i made it a problem by focusing on it. I also stopped chakra work for months, and that in itself took away the focus on the problem.

Question for Robert, or for anyone who may know. I've been working with NEW, and noticed there is no talk of the eyes (at least in my printout of the online articles). Afterall, the eyes seem to be a major energy connection between people. My question is : "Can the Eyes be stimulated with NEW"? I'm not talking about sight correction, because i have a stigmatism (which means the physical shape of the eye is warped. But i'm talking about improving energetic connection between people at all. I would guess that Eyes are like Mini chakras in a sense? Sometimes, i've experienced the Shaktipat phenomenon with eye contact with living gurus. So i'm just curious how this whole thing with eyes, works. If anyone knows, i'm curious.

Shaking as in literal "whole" hand waggling? or just general spasms and twitches? I'm new to NEW, and when i first began work on my feet i noticed one toe spasmed and waggled on it's own during brushing. But that soon disappeared as i continued working with NEW for 2 weeks, solely on the feet and hands. Such spasms and twitch are (according to Robert) signs of blockages, that will clear over time with regular work.

The Shaking, i would guess would indicate blockages in your hands in this case. If you are doing more intense spiritual work other than NEW (such as Chakra work) that draws large amounts of energy into you, then i would say you could be causing more problems unless you've thouroughly strengthened the exchange ports in your hands and feet (For example). For a few years i used to do Chakra work and had no idea why it would sometimes give me legs that were so restless and deep bone sensitive that it made meditation very difficult, when i felt like running down the road instead.

After discovering NEW, i knew why. Too many energy demands were being placed on the system, without little exchange ports being strong enough already.  So i'm starting from scratch. Perhaps spend several weeks on just your hands, and continue to work on them gently? If that doesn't help, perhaps contact Robert in person, as it could be something else entirely.

Interesting. Perhaps i got confused with a bit in the book, where i remember it saying that ideally we should not even go anywhere near primary centers until the ports and secondary areas have been worked on for several months or even a year, because the secondary areas need to be reinforced before working on primary. Thanks anyway. Yes i reckon Robert is leaving it up to us, to be able to sense energy rather than rely on outward schedules as such.

Good question. I had the full book a few years ago, but had to sell it off as i was travelling. Now i regret that because i also need the answer to this question too.

I recently downloaded the online NEW tutorial to start it all up again, and so i've been using the printouts. From what i remember of the book, the printouts are less specific about timings between different excercises and the durations of each exercise.

At the moment, i've been doing the feet and hands solely for about 2 weeks, with good results and a great feeling of wellbeing (which has suprised me so early on).

The download print outs dont say about durations, but i'm almost certain that the book did say that it was wise to continue for about 2 weeks solely on the feet and hands first, before doing anything, so that structures are strengthened and ready for next stages. But, i guess it depends on how many blockages are in your feet and hands. I would suggest that if you can feel warmth and gentle sensations now (instead of major spasms and buzzing etc) then it's a good sign to move onto the next exercises.

I've been working for about 2 weeks on feet and hands and all blockages are gone, leaving warmth upon stimulation. That to me,  has been my sign that things are well enough ready to continue. So i started tonight.

I've been moving up to the ankle stirring/wrapping, knees stirring/wrapping,and 4 way paths on the legs. I'm afraid it gets a bit more tricky at that stage, Kevin (at least for me anyway). I had great difficulty keeping awareness along the entire length of my legs tonight on the first attempt of the 4 way brushing paths.  Keeping control of the correct width of sensation on the back of your legs (for example) was bloody tricky.

It required intense focus and concentration to stop me losing control of the brushing feeling (especially when working on backs of legs). I guess it's a matter of focus power. I tend to lose control of brushes and stirring if i start getting bored. I found that with the hands&feet at one stage too. It's quite unusual.

So enjoy the mundane simplicity of the foot and hands while you can, because the next stage seems to require some intense focus and concentration. I agree the sole and hands work is so incredibly tedious. But at least they dont require so much focus and concentration, due to the small work area.
