I agree recoverer! Any voices i've heard have always sounded normal to me, i've never heard an electronic sounding one or anything like white noise.

What an interesting question. I have a friend who has some very interesting theories about death and conception, i'll ask him if I can share them with you.

I don't know about conception having never witnessed it, although I was around when my own children were conceived! lol.

As for death, well that's something I have witnessed, i'm a registered nurse and have had the privilage of being present when someone passes, more times that I care to remember. I have never once been present at a passing when the person hasn't said someone has come to fetch them and on a few occasions I have seen the spirit leave. The film 'Ghost' is just about right, that's very much the way it looked to me, only much fainter.

I think it's possible although i've never done it. I got a bit scared once because I got lost on the way back and when I finally found my body again and tried to get back, I found I couldn't. I had this idea that if I could turn the light on all would be well, totally crazy but there you go, mad gemini's way of thinking! It didn't work!

I don't know anything about any of the F's! I had never heard of alot of the terms used here until I joined. I have my own ideas about the different astral planes and the places I visit and that suits me. I do love to learn though and other peoples ideas and experiences facinate me so although I get confused about some of the posts, I do enjoy reading them and trying to undersatnd them. I haven't ventured as far as some of the catagories yet, they sound as though they'd go right over my head! lol

I know alot of people want proof that it's possible but personally it doesn't matter to me. I know it's possible and that my experiences are real, i'm true to myself, that's all that matters to me.
#6
Sorry hun, i'm afraid I can't read pink on white, it hurts xx
#7
Personally I don't think it makes much difference. I've slept in a few places over the years and it doesn't seem to have made any difference to me

Oooer! I'm as lost as you are Kris! lol

I hear voices but they are mostly spirit voices, I do pick up other's thoughts and feelings but I don't hear in sentences I don't think, I know when people far away are feeling upset of worried or are in pain but I usually have to talk to them to find out what the problem is.

Yes I believe it's possible but as others have said, I don't think it's a good idea. I would be very angry if someone tried to invade my own private space uninvited like that. As for trying to influence someone to do something, what makes you think you have the right to do that? What if that person has thought about a problem for example and has decided to handle it another way? You have no right to try and change their mind! IMHO

Yes i've had a few 'chats' like that with people who've passed.

My mother-in-law had an interesting one though, she dreamt of her son who'd passed several years earlier in the army. He was wandering around outside in the garden and when mum went out to ask him why he didn't come in, he said "You're forgetting about me mum, you don't think of me much any more", mum became very upset and assured him he was never out of her thoughts. Later that day I went to their house with some flowers for Karl and asked what time the family was going to the cemetry, mum looked at me a bit quizzically and asked why? I reminded her it was Karl's birthday and she burst into tears, she'd forgotten! Mum told me about the dream and she said the thing that really struck her was that Karl looked the age he would be now, 51, he was 28 when he was killed.

Oh dear, i'm soooo confused. I've read a few posts and i'm afraid I just don't understand alot of these things, terms etc.

I've been experiencing 'strange' things since I was a nipper but i've never put terms to them, I didn't know any existed to be honest.

I am utterly fascinated in all these things and love to learn but you all seem so knowledgeable so please bear with a bit of a thicko this end

Yes I get that each time hun, you'll get used to it the more it happens, I don't find it uncomfortable now  :)

Hi Andali

People choose to believe what they will, it is their right. Just as it is our right to believe in OBE's and the like, it is your mother's right not to. It's not a question of her not being ready, she may never want to believe in it and no-one has the right to try and make her.

I would suggest next time the subject comes up that you could simply say that you have your beliefs and she has hers and that if you can't discuss it without arguing, that you respect each others opinions, agree to disagree and not discuss it at all.

I believe every living thing, be it human, animal, plant etc has a soul but that is my personal opinion and is central to my spritual beliefs.

I can't help you there i'm afraid, I haven't experienced problems with my eyes. I always have the vibrations and buzzing in my ears though.

No there's nothing to be afraid of love. If I start to have an OBE at an inconvenient time like when i'm really tired and i've got to get up for an early shift at work the next day, I pull myself out of it by concentrating on my toes and wiggling them! You can stop it quite easily when you've got the knack.

Thank you for the invitation Projector but I registered to this site because of the amount of information and the many folks who are prepared to share their experiences and help others.

I've read threads about things I didn't know existed and I find the experiences people here are having facinating.

I'm an experienced projector too but I feel there's alot more to be learned here for now.

Jewellery doesn't seem to make any difference to my OBE's at all, I have similar experiences whether i'm wearing it or not.

I was facinated to read about the wires and grids and electricity, i've never experienced those things or heard of them.

I find I can think about anything too, it doesn't make a difference to the OBE or the sensations. I just lay there and wait for it to happen, I suppose i'm one of those lucky people who don't have to think about projecting but then i've been doing it for many years, maybe that makes a difference.

Well I visited a friend once at his workplace over three hundred miles away. I'd never been there in the physical but I was able to describe it and what he was doing at the time. Does that count as proof?
