Hello,
Last night was my second attempt of astral projecting and this time I had better results. I had relaxed my whole body and thought of a place that I had known well. I was using a technique I had read in the book Adventures Beyond the Body by William Buhlman in which one would visualize a place they know very well and used as much sensory and detail as possible. I, like Buhlman was picturing my living room simply because I know it quite well.
I visualized it intently as I started to drift off, I never actually fell asleep but I do remember becoming quite close. I felt a very numb/tingling sensation all over body.
I have a few questions though.
I hear a lot of people (and the books I read) speak of feeling vibrations before they AP. Now, are these "vibrations" internal or external? When I had read these things I had always assumed they were external and the body would shake rapidly, just based on descriptions and choice of words people used to describe their experiences. But, after my experience I am starting to think the vibrations are internal.
Also, when I try to AP I listen for sounds in my room so I know when I am asleep or not but I think this is keeping me awake. I was listening for about 30 minutes and I was drifting off into sleep and feeling these vibrations in which I would of thought I would had been asleep by then.. but I wasn't. Finally I just gave up and quit the exercise and went to sleep. Should I keep doing what I'm doing and just be more patient? Also, how long should it take before I hit that "awake/sleep" bridge?
Thanks.
