You've got a ways to go

non-lucid   lucid

Im posting this just as a means of remembering it and I hope someone enjoys reading it.

I watched TV from 12am to 12:30am.. passed out... woke up at 1:30am and moved to my bed and went to sleep.

In this block of sleep I had many dreams. I had to go to work right after waking up so its a little foggy now, but still in memory.

I found myself at some sort of tower type structure in a cave or cavern. I dont remember how I got to the top but I was there and there was a couple desks and a girl staring at me from across the desks. I have no idea who she was but she was thin and had blonde hair. I remember she was saying comforting things to her and I was just gazing at her in a flirtacious manner.

Somehow I fell off this 'tower' and landed on the ground next to it. I dont remember what happened but I somehow became VERY lucid.

Within seconds, I willed myself to levitate back up to the tower and levitate I did! In fact, I soared up to that tower more easily than most of my other lucid moments in the past.

I should note that most of the decisions I make to reinforce and utilize my lucidity are made very quickly and impulsively. Most of these actions are based on the things Ive read in books and on these forums.

I conciouslly stopped myself from giving any more energy or emotion to the dream. I willed myself to stop the dream. I did this assuming I would end up in the astral and where I ended up next was something i've never really felt before.

I was in my bedroom floating above my bed. Floating in an upright position. (It just felt this way). I had no body, I was just an entity of unknown size or shape.

I know I was in my bedroom because I caught a glimpse of my computer desk and I could tell where I was. I know that these sort of RTZ projections can entail paralysis and hallcuinations and all sorts of anxiety so within a second I willed myself to end it (cause I was scared  )

All in all I feel that I projected from a dream into the real time zone that is my bedroom. I got anxious and I forced myself unconcious and that was the end of my dreams as far as I know it.

Well I don't think I was all that lucid during the experience or else it certainly would have escalated

Went to sleep at 2am.

Next thing I know im standing up in my room and I see that one of my couches is out of place.. So I rearrange it, I don't touch it or come in contact with it in any way, but I rearrange it. It's now in place.

There she was, on the other couch.. Just sitting there like we had been hanging out or something and I wasn't even aware of it. I stood there gazing at her wondering what to do... she did the same... speech seemed pointless.

I walked over to her and kissed her on the lips. This was the last I remember of my bedroom scene and soon I found myself present in many other places. It had gone from a sort of astral copy of my bedroom to regular dreams. Involving the two of us. We served no purpose in any of these dreams but to remain kissing one another.

We ended up at her parents house and her mom was angry, stating, "you can't just come and get high here when no one except the cat is around"

......

Now im awake drinking my coffee. Thought that one was a tad interesting :P

Quote from: PinkyC349my friend John had told me that if I astral project, I could attract a demonic force and become posessed.
Thanks

its more likely that this wont happen

What i'm hoping will happen is I will eventually find myself in a situation where I am too paralyzed to stop regardless of how afraid I am

Almost any night that I am really sleepy and I crash I will have some sort of beginnings of an astral projection. I let myself relax and I let my mind be at ease, the next thing ill notice is my body is vibrating and my eye lids become paralyzed. Once this happens I know whats going on and I tell myself that I just have to go with it... but within seconds it gets even more intense: I feel like there are hands touching me all over my body and my entire body is almost completely paralyzed.. At this point I will also start hearing noises and feeling much much less connected to the real world...

How do I really harness this projection? I don't know what to do with myself once it happens.. I always just get scared of the unknown, of whats going to happen..

I'm sure there are many people with this problem but can someone throw me a tip or two?

Fantastic dream. I'm impressed by your dream recall!

I've looked at where I thought I was and saw images which are literally indescribable. Nothing disturbing or gruesome, but what I saw is nothing I can describe; and it certainly wasn't my body.

Last night was my first successful attempt at projecting myself through a dream..

In the dream, I found myself sitting on a platform up in some trees in a familiar park.. I was looking around and I found a small amount of weed and a rolling paper so I start to roll a joint. I didn't think much of it until I thought about the weed.. I thought to myself 'I don't remember having this, how did I get this up in the trees?' and at that point I became lucid. Then I told myself that I wanted to go to the astral world and what happened next was something i've never experienced before. All of a sudden huge yellow rainbow-looking bars of light just soared out from the sky and in to me... Two or three of them if I remember correctly. Once this happened I found myself floating in my bedroom... I could only barely see in front of me, everything was very blurry and it felt like the muscles in my eyes weren't working well enought to actually perceive it all... but I found myself floating through my bedroom...... then I remember involentarilly doing a summersault and I woke up....

End

What was this?

It sounds like quick actions or fast paced people bother you in real life. I don't know but I think anyone else's interpretation wont be much differant.

I spent most of last night just playing vids at my desk, then I finished off the night from 2:30-3:00 by reading a half hour of Astral pulse, mostly on focus levels and the like. At 3:00 I laid down in my bed and got comfortable. I remember then i started off doing meditation/phasing type stuff but I didnt really keep track of time... I think I was unconciouss or something because suddenly I was conciouss again and I was vibrating like crazy and there was an INTENSE wooshing noise going all around me like I was in a huge vacuum or something. I remember every so often I would see flashes of light under my eye lids and a little circle of light righht dead center in my vision. One more thing I noticed at this point was something was pulling me at my feet down to the edge of my bed.

This is where it gets wierd.. I felt like I was really out of the world and somehwere else, but ther was still something telling me that I was asleep in my bed; I was thinking that I was 'Phasing' the entire time.

The next thing I noticed was the sensantion that I was in the driver's seat of a car and there was a steering wheel in front of me... I can't really remember seeing much of a car but there was definatly a steering wheel!! I remember that i tried to reach out and feel it with my non-physical hands but it didn't quite work.. (i think it almost did though)

At this point I was getting kinda nervous from the wooshing noises and stuff so I just decided to snap myself out of it! When i did this my body was definatly a bit paralizea and boy was I ever tranced!!! but there were no SP hallucinations or anything like that, I opened my eyes and moved my body around a bit and there I was!

3:30 am!

You never got around to thanking us :P

nice experience though
#14
No... All these things are happening while we are asleep in the REAL world.. Believing that there are external influences and appearances by real people in your experiences is an insult to logic and almost every area of physics

Why?

Because the astral plane is just a level of consciousness and internal focus, it exists in each of our minds because it's a human capability, not a place.

I used to suffer horribly from depression and im still very anxious in situations with a lot of people.. Im only 19 though..
#16
My friend,

Your second experience sounds like typical sleep paralysis.

Ive never experienced it but I know if I ever do ill stomp it out like it's nothing.
#17
A few more notes on my experience...  the vibration came with a feeling of being paralyzed.. THe longer I laid there and stared at the wall the more paralyzed I became... At first I jsut felt like something was holding me still and then at the end, right before I got freaked out and forced myself out of it, my jaw begun to get frozen along with the rest of my body..

I think it was the jaw that scared me but it was the last noticable part of my body to begin to numb and freeze.. The vibrations were occuring while this happened and there was a loud high pitched noise in my head getting louder and louder.. when i tried to picture myself out of my body nothing happened....

What does this mean? how can I make myself lift up or pop out or whatever...... :(

To anyone who smokes Marijuana its obvious the effects it has on the vividness of your imagination and the capability of hypnogogic imagery... but does any of this help in inducing Astral projection? I know it's bad for Lucid Dreaming induction to be a miarjuana smoker.

Yesterday I tried my third or so attempt at AP (normally I am too freaked to try it, even during the day) but I went ahead...

I have a dream-catcher above my bed hanging from the cieling... I looked at it and then focussed myself internally.... The further I went with it the higher I felt... I literally was starting to feel high like on a drug of some sort.. I would occasionaly close my eyes and still see the dream catcher then reopen them to see my cieling with all sorts of patterns melting and swirling around it...

At this point my body started twitching all over, and vibrating like it was on a wavy magic carpet flying through the air (i felt no movement though).. then my thumbs would move involuntarily... and I was trying to let my third eye look down on me from where I wanted to project myself and I was practically visualizing it.... all the while the vibrations were consistently powerful..... but I remained in my body the whole time.

I should probably emphasise that right before I woke up I was looking RIGHT at where I was laying in bed in the waking world... then the second I saw the keys I woke up and could remember it perfectly.

I had some groovy dreams last night and the last one of the night seemed to have the element of an out of body experience to it.

I slept about 8 hours total and had my alarm clock set for 5am.

At 5am it went off, I dont remember any dreams at this point and I went back to sleep until the next snooze alarm at 510 (10 min intervals).. At 510 I woke up went upstairs made some coffee and went back to sleep, between 510 and 530 I had the following dream:

I was at the entrance to the old subdivision that I lived in, I was walking up the main street of the place and then all of a sudden the General Lee (Duke's of Hazard car) pulls in and I chuckle at it....the dream fades

5:30 I awake from the dream with the alarm clock going, I accidently hit the "stop alarm" button instead of the snooze button but I didn't find out till later. I should add that now I have the risk of sleeping in through work and I don't even know it... needless to say, I drift off back to sleep. Between this time, approx. 5:31, and 6:04 I have the following dream moment:

I'm in my bedroom somewhere.. I don't know where or why and I don't remember myself arriving here.. Not knowing what to do with myself, I walk from one end to the other and as I approach my bed I become a little more aware of something not being right.. Then I look down right where I *should* be sleeping and see a pair of keys..(after further thought i have decided they looked identical to my keys for my house, etc... but when i saw them in the dream I thought to myself "these are the keys to the general lee!!!" and I laughed histarically..

At this moment I wake up and then go and drink my coffee and get ready for work...

That sounds to me like a lucid dream more than a OOBE

Hi there, i'm a member of a LD4All, a lucid dreaming community and I have been trying very hard to willingly induce lucid dreams.

In the midst of a conversation about lucid dreaming with a friend of mine, she mentioned she could willingly seperate her soul from her body by meditating.  At first I didn't understand how this was possible (or even what she meant) but then I asked a few other friends and one of them had an experience similair to what the first friend described.

The friend's experience went a little something like this: he was sleeping one night with faint xmas lights on in his room.. he had just smoked a fair amount of Cannabis and was laying in bed when he felt like there was something pulling him from either side, and he could feel some force moving on his body.. then before he knew it he was lifted up to the cieling of his bedroom and could view everything, including himself.....

After hearing about this experience I went on the net and found The Astral Pulse.. i'm happy to know that our minds are capable of such spiritual journeys and im excited that I may soon be able to do it!

and so begins my story of Astral Projection
