In a few days, I'll be getting my wisdom teeth out, so obviously I'll be put to sleep before they begin the procedure. My question is, does anyone know if it would be possible to try and project while I'm falling asleep from the chemical injection?

I'm thinking that the main thing to try is to keep my mind awake while my body is falling asleep. But i'm not sure...would the chemicals prevent my mind from staying awake too?

Has anyone ever tried something like that before?

I've been able to calm myself down and relax pretty well, but I'm not sure if i've ever been in a trance (since i know this is a big step to helping to start an OBE). What does it feel like and how would i know if im in a trance? Any tips on how to enter one?

Sometimes while going into a meditative state i've gotten to feel a little lightheaded/weightless/free but it didn't seem like i was that deep in anything (though maybe thats what in deep relaxation means? idk)

thanks

I've had 6 OBE's (my first one was this Jan. '05), and I'd have to say that I believe this phenomenon is real.

I've read about experiments where people had gone to another room while out-of-body and heard what a few other people in the experiment were saying. Also an experiment where someone moved a physical object while out of body.

Lots of people are asking if there's any real proof that can truly be validated. I think that astral projection is one of those things that in order to really be able to believe it and understand it, you have to experience it.

But the real question should be this - can you prove that it doesn't exist?

I dont think so.

As the topic states, would caffeine affect trying to AP from the conscious state? (not in large amounts though and only once in awhile)
It would wake up the body a bit perhaps, but then again, your mind is much more aware and active which could help to focus maybe or keep the mind awake while the body falls asleep.

Idk, its a simple question but yet i don't know the answer - I'm guessing its 'no' but what do you guys think?

Let me start of with this:

I had my first OBE this January '05, (im' 16 ) and since then i've had 3 more. They have all been spontaneous.

I have tried a few times in the past to consciously induce them, and I've gotten pretty close. I tried last night and I eventually felt weightless, etc. etc.

ANYWAYS. I've noticed something that happens every time:
- Once i get further into the process, (relaxed, weightless, etc) my heart begins to beat faster, and faster and faster and its kindof distracting.

Is that somethign that happens to you guys? or am i doing something wrong? Or, is that just fine and normal? Is it cause i'm too excited or something? help me lol

*I'm not afraid, so thats not why *
