I remember one of my earlier experiences being much like yours:
I call the purple fuzz that we see when laying with our eyes close my "purple sky" hehe, anyway, a few years ago I started feeling the tingling vibrations, the sensation was new and scary to me back then, the vibrations became so severe, it was as if I could almost "hear" them buzzing too. Before I knew it, I was blowing away in this huge wind. Everything was that hazy purple colour and I was being blown down a tunnel. Lol I didn't keep my cool like you, I was scared, and being scared probably made me imagine the things I saw next, I saw these "heavy" weird animals, it looked like they were made out of cement and were not moving but they also looked alive. I remember forcing my hands together so that I can pray to wake up, as I was blowing further and further down this tunnel I just blew into my bed again. I woke up relieved but I could still feel the vibrations, which I just wanted to stop.
Had a few more between then and now, none lasting very long due either be being unable to control my astral body or not being able to see. But just this morning (that is why I joined this website) I had another one:
I woke up early to study for today's exam but then thought that I'm too tired and went back to sleep, vibrations started and I thought I'll let it "settle in" a bit before trying to open my astral eyes. Eventually I opened them and saw the yellowish glary room around me. Next I considered exiting my body but I was a bit surprised to see the world outside so clearly, so I just laid there and tried to establish if I was really looking through my astral eyes... I decided to take my hand out from the blanket and then wake up. If my hand was still inside the blanket then I know I was looking through my astral eyes and moving my astral hand. I woke up and my real hand was still under the blanket.
Chances are your real eyes were closed and you looked through your astral eyes
