i can relate to this.

ever since i was a young boy i can remember seeing swirls of light and flashing dots when i kept my eyes open in the dark.

i get it nowadays with one exception, when i focus for say 25 seconds i begin to see figures and objects and stuff. its quite bizarre.

in terms of white light i sometimes see a very small pinprick of white light flash on and flash off. when i try to concentrate on it, it goes.

this nearly happens every night now.

this morning i woke up from a sleep and opened my eyes before closing them again. i could begin to see straight ahead with my eyes closed. i remember experiencing it before, it comes on a lot more recently.

also when its overcast and you look at the sky does anyone see pale bright lights sparkle in the sky? they often start out faint but when you concentrate them become brighter. they appear at seemingly random places in the sky.

finally, this is rather bizarre but the other night i woke up from a nightmare with sleep paralysis and i had this feeling of deja vu. when i have a nightmare i always hear this eery tone, like monsters moaning or something. but on that night i recognised the tone as AUMMM. at the time i thought it was significant.
