I've had this a few times now. I have to push so hard to get through ceilings - pushing with my legs to give me lift and sometimes there is so much resistance to get through a ceiling, or roof into the outside ether, or void. Sometimes it's almost painful going through the roof. Please note, these are normally fictional roofs in fictional/dream buildings, not the actual house that I live in.

Has anyone else had this?

You're not retaining them.
They're slipping away when you need the Intent most.

It's REALLY EASY for us to trick our ego into thinking we're doing things right... we do this on a... well, hourly basis usually... one more lie means nothing to an ego satiated.

Well, I'm always thinking whilst in the void 'I want to go high as far as I can go to some heavenly realms'.

So your problem is that you can project just fine, but you can't seem to end up where you want to go?
Yep!

Quote from: Xanth on October 13, 2013, 19:22:09If that's the case, then it's a simple matter of focus and retaining that "goal" you have in mind when you project.  ALWAYS have a semi-specific goal in mind.  :)

I have always had goals in my mind but it's just they didn't work!

I have had what I thought were "dry spells" as well. But I noticed I was in the void, it's just I couldn't do anything. I would start a session, find myself in the 3D darkness and then just stay there for the entire session. No matter what intent I created, I was stuck.

After about a month of this I realized and it was affirmed at a later time, that I was in that void for a reason. The reason was to learn just to "be".   :?

Hopefully that makes sense to you, because at first it didn't to me, lol!

Good to hear! That's exactly what's happening to me. Hmmm, well, I realised recently what I've been having to re-achieve at the moment is acceptance of my situation, so that could make sense, I guess!

Recently I've been going through the usual stages of becoming lucid once I'm out of my body, when dosing, then becoming conscious of floating around my room and exiting to outside. I generally feel the typical feeling of lifting and flying upwards into the sky as usual but where in the past, I've then ended up 'landing' somewhere in the astral planes after all of this, recently I keep not managing to get anywhere at all (not for want of trying!) I keep willing it to happen but it doesn't. I've tried various techniques like saying 'take me where I need to go' but even if that has done anything at all, I've generally ended up somewhere undesirable! Recently I asked to be healed from my illness and then got attacked in a painful way by pidgeons! Any advice/suggestions? Also, I keep not being able to see - maybe something to do with the fact I'm still sleepy...?

By the way, has anyone tried detoxing/activating their third eye with success?

During most of my recent APs, I haven't really managed to access the astral planes. I often end up lapsing into a dream, indeed, even when I leave my body, I do so in a dream state and the RTZs seem more like dreamscapes than physical reality! As a result, my recent APs have been pretty dull!

A couple of times recently, I've managed to realise I'm having a lucid dream and have then purposefully stopped the dream and the storyline. Both times - this resulted in me being instantaneously propelled forwards at an intense speed and travelling like this for quite a long time. The second time it happened, I was in a psychedelic tunnel!!! I haven't yet managed to travel to anywhere yet though!

I've tried saying things like 'take me where I need to go' but it hasn't really provided good results.

Also, I'd really like to contact my deceased father but every time I've asked for that, I've ended up with a mental projection of him.

Any tips??

Have a look at the link and you'll see what I mean.

I meant it doesn't list anything under the suggestions of books/music etc!

Awwww. Just looked at the website and there doesn't seem to be anything on there, unless I'm gravely mistaken  :-(

Brilliant, thanks and yes, I did post it on another forum  :-D

Can anyone recommend any good binaural beats music, that's pleasant to listen to for meditation?
#12
Awesome!! Thanks for that. I feel hopeful. I've been looking for an answer to this for a long time! Fingers crossed!!!

Hmmm, will try it. The thing is, I keep having these experiences where I become lucid in a dream, aware that I'm lying in bed but it's never my actual bed or room, it's always a fake/dream one and then I leave my body and then fly around etc. I'm never quite sure what's going on, really. It's kind of like an AP and I'm pretty sure I am leaving my body but it's also like a dream......

If you're in a lucid dream you know it. Getting extra lucidity, enough where you have good control is where you can leave the dream and go to the void.
How do you achieve that? I often exit my body during a lucid dream but what I tend to experience is often more like a dream. I'd like to be able to exit my body from a dream and enter the astral.

I have been leaving my body but into a dream version of a bedroom, rather than the RTZ. It is from here that I have flewn upwards into other realms. Mostly, these have had a dreamlike quality. I am therefore wondering if I have visited the astral planes, or just dreamscapes. This is the reason I would like to exit my body into the RTZ (my actual bedroom) because then I can be more sure that when I leave my body, I am projecting into the astral planes, rather than dream worlds. Am I right in thinking this? Also, I guess it would be quite cool to be able to visit 'real' places from our physical world, I guess it would prove to me a bit more that my experience of leaving my body is real.

I'm also going to have to try APing from meditation rather than from lucid dreams and see where that gets me.

You want the RTZ (Real Time Zone).

You could try to use your lucid dreaming as a gateway and possibly come back to the physical body first and project from there (though not necessary for projection). This could possibly allow you a greater chance of reaching the RTZ rather than attempting to project straight from the LD.

Thanks, I'll try this!

Ah, I see, hardcore!  :-D

By the way, can anyone explain what is meant by the word phasing within the context of the first post of this thread. I have heard of the word phasing used to describe moving from one place to another whilst astral projecting but not sure if that's what is meant in this context. Thanks!

Good thread!  :-D

I've done this at times and gained astral sight just before projecting which appears like physical reality or the RTZ but upon exiting i have never been able to see my room/house exactly how it is in the physical. Often it looks very similar but not exact. I've looked back at my bed expecting to see my body and my body was not there? The house may be rearranged or similar. My children (that i would assume are asleep) are up playing in their beds.

So I've attempted to exit into the RTZ and have walked, floated around my house a few times while in astral but although very, very similar i'm not sure it has never been an exact true copy of the physical at that present moment. Maybe i've been getting the RTZ overlayed with an astral copy?
Are they like dreams because your awareness fades and creates a dream-like feel or because they are 'made up' places?

Peace.

Thanks, I'll try that and see what happens. I always exit from my body into a 'made up' room, which is not a 'real' place but a dreamscape and also, there is still a bit of a dream-like feel, even though I'm lucid and leaving my body.

I have heard many accounts of people leaving their bodies and being in their actual room or house and flying off into the surrounding areas. However, every time I've done it, I always end up in a 'made up' room and generally astral project to places that are like dreams.

Does anyone know how I can AP into my actual room? Do you think I am more likely to achieve this if I AP through the means of meditation, rather than lucid dreaming?

In the times of Mary Queen of Scots the word trour means trouble/s.
If its a name and you are sent to dark places the info given will mean something to aid your development.

It will be personal to you, think about what you learned from this experience and exploit its meaning.
The Australian part should mean something to you and it may not be quite apparent at this time.

1, To answer this have a read
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/the_astral_blueprint-t38729.0.html

2, To move to a 'higher level' know the present location is bad for you and think of a pleasant location where you love everything deeply. Will yourself to leave the dark one and appear in the loving warmth of the new one. Be convinced it will happen and have no doubts about your ability or anything related to failiure.
Its practise that really helps, once familiar with what works it becomes second nature.

Are you serious?? How did you come across the word 'trour'?!

Up until now, I have been APing spontaneously from a lucid dream and have been managing to achieve quite a lot during these experiences. However, a new avenue for me to explore is APing at will. The experience described above was my first attempt at this, so I intend to keep practising this and will try some of the techniques from your thread, as well as developing my meditation skills and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestions  :-D

I manage to leave my body intentionally and am visited by an entity, called Trour!

I went back to bed for a nap, with the aim of consciously projecting and leaving my body. I became conscious that I was trying to leave my body but it was really difficult. I made several attempts, mostly trying to crawl out of my body sideways but felt really heavy and couldn't move much. I finally succeeded but felt heavy and couldn't fly very well. It was pitch black. I heard a voice. It was a kind sounding man with a Scottish accent. He explained to me I was in my etheral body, which is why I was experiencing the difficulties. I asked him how I could enter my astral body from the etheral body but he didn't give me a straight answer and said it would happen when I was ready, which was strange, as I have astral projected several times! He then got me to repeat a mantra: 'give me joy, give me sorrow, give me pain, give me sorrow'. I started to see a red, fiery world, where there was a war/battle happening. I was only there for an instant. He said he'd taken me there so that I knew how to deal with/end an experience like that. However, he didn't actually tell me how to end the experience! I told him that I'd already ended up in some undesirable places before and that I've managed to end exit from them (generally I've woken up every time in the process of exiting these places). I asked him what his name was and where he was from. He said his name was Trour and he was half Scottish, half Australian! At the time, I felt like he was very noble and wise but now I'm not so sure. Maybe he was merely a projection of my mind, distracting me from achieving a higher level projection!

However, on the plus side, this is a starting point for leaving my body intentionally, rather than spontaneously!

Soooo....as 'Trour' was unable to answer these questions, does anyone have any ideas?:

1. Is there a good way to exit the pitch black space and etheral body to reach higher planes and abilities? Meditation?
2. Does anyone have any suggestions for exiting an undesirable place to get to a better place? Phasing?

I'd also love to hear what your thoughts are on this experience and if anyone's had a similar experience!

Good answer!  :-)
