(I doubt that this is the right section for my post, but it is the best I could come up with. Moderators, please move this if it is out of place here. Thanks.)

Last night I saw a dream that made me realize that a thing that happened to me when I was really young has since made me unable to fully enjoy certain aspects of life.

In other words: long time ago I was slightly traumatized(?) by something that happened to me back then.
And now I have finally realized that fact and the exact cause of it.
(The whole thing is not something that makes my life bad, but has certainly affected it to some extent.)

Now my question is:
How do I go about starting to get over this thing in order to get unaffected by it? It still takes time, I think, but I believe there is more I can do than just wait and get another dream some 15 years from now :D

At this point I'm really happy and feel great. It feels like there has been something hidden in me that I've been only dimly aware of so far, but can now see it clearly. Makes me feel kind of lighter.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions / comments!

Who I am really doesn't matter, because the thing that brings us all here is our experiences and our perspective on life, rather than belonging to some specific type of personality. I mean, we are pretty colorful community.
(Hard to come out right with my english skills :/)

But if you have to know, I'm a 24-year old music enthusiast and quiet thinker type of guy from Finland.
I also like programming very much. And cats. And chocolate :) (Who doesn't..)

I have been practicing lucid dreams for about two years, and have had nice amount of them in the process, too. From lucid dreaming I started to learn about oobes and astral projection.
I've had one OOBE so far, and that was very spontaneous one. Anyway, that made me do the decision to start deliberately practicing and trying to induce OOBEs.
The AP forums have proved and excellent resource on the subject, and you will hear more from me
once I get some success. Or if I come up with something constructive on my way here :)

Thanks,
Orbi

(oh, sorry for any bad english and such things; English is not one of my strongest skills. And I tend to make a note about it every now and then. Bad habit, but what can you do when you think that you have written something that others might get wrong. I'm afraid of coming out wrong :I )
