So I used saltcube.com's method where I woke up early in the morning and set my alarm for 20 minute intervals. The purpose was to shock me into lucidity once I was dreaming and then use the lucid dream as a launch pad for a physical body exit.

However, the alarm method wasn't working. Suddenly, I had lost coherency and slightly succumbed to unconsciousness (for about 10 seconds?).

My consciousness returned and I thought "There's the back of my eye lids...good I'm not asleep". Suddenly the back of my eyelids brightened and a VERY vivid pattern was present (sort of like a quilt made of light).

Soon after wards I saw a room begin to form in front of this pattern. A shift occurred, and I felt myself floating up. I realized I was in the room and it was forming as I floated into it. I was completely aware and lucid of the entire experience. But then I got too excited and lost it.

Did I phase?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / F10 to F12

Hey all,

I have been having an easy time reaching a deep F10 where hypnogonic images/videos are answering my questions, desires, and internal anxieties.

How do i move from F10 to F12!? Is there a specific technique or method I can use? Or does reaching F12 just require mastery of F10 at which point one will seamlessly move into 3d black?

Although I have only made it to Focus12, I have a quick question about Focus 15: how do you expierence the reality of no time? Do you just not focus on time while in this level, or is time really an objective element of our physical world that disappears in subjective environments?

I am really interested in hearing your expirence with this particular attribute of different realities because I have a strong fear (probably out of ignorance) about eternity and the infinite.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Whoa!

So for the last few nights, I have been practicing reaching and maintaining Focus 10. Since I have been very successful (I can get to Focus 10 now in 5-10 minutes) I decided to try to AP last night.

Now I was skeptical about the whole thing to begin with: vibrating in my bed while I am climbing a non-existent rope?   So I began as normal and reached Focus 10 by only focusing on the API and then eventually at the darkness in my eyelids (which would usually erupt into swirls of blue....its always blue).

When I felt it was right, I began to climb that damn rope. Up and up I went, I actually started to feel surges in my legs. Weird I thought, so I pictured myself in my childhood backyard: this caused my heart chakra (or whatever it is) to literally pound the excrement out of my ribcage. While my "heart" was pounding bloody murder, I got strong vibrations in my head. So I went back to climbing the rope and I felt myself lift ever so slightly out of my body.

Oh, and I could hear a strong but consistent wind which I am positive was part of the AP. So yeah, this was amazing, just like all of you had said would happen.

I eventually tried in the morning but ended up having a lucid dream about myself APing and the whole dream I was violently vibrating as I floated about (weird huh).

So thanks for the advice and support of these forums, but my question is: A lucid dream still has that haze that clouds the mind while you are in it, but does a successful AP/OBE have the same haze? Or is a clear minded and obvious experience? How do you tell the two apart if our consciousness experiences them similarly?
