See, kibeginnersnightmare, this is a question that matters. Try asking ones like these. lol.
Sorry, I have no clue where Jeff went. Best of luck finding him, though.

1. 2. could be very strong telekinesis. I can only do small things like make an empty 20 oz plastic bottle roll an inch.

3. astrally projecting to the future while still in your body

4. telepathy. Just dont spy on them.

5. 6. See if you can make some diamonds or gold. Jackets arent worth enough to waste your psychic energy on. Next time you lose it, think about lots of money being in the pockets.

Hey Overworked. Great topic!

I am experiencing the same thing. I have a week and a half to two weeks between projections. I am working on this though. [:D]

Thanks.

Take care.

P.S. I don't see it as energy recovery, but skill level. Thinking of it as energy recovery seems like an implied limit to me.

Take care.

Similarly, what I've experienced a few times lately is an oval shaped color of light. The color is goldish and has appeared during the astral phasing work I've been doing. It seems to move outward, then reappear, then move outward again a number of times.

This all happens at the stage (or Focus level) where I'm started to have swirling colors and patterns come my way. Lately, some distinct images and at times some random noises as well. However, I've learned these are typical of certain focus levels of astral phasing. Perhaps you were in more of a phasing mode at the time and that's why I mention this.

There are a number of posts in the Astral Consciousness section of this forum by Frank that explain and detail the phasing process if you want to take a look. I've posted a good one below as an example:

The book by Denning & Phillips suggests exercise in order to better be able to remember projection and dream experiences. It said that it is better to not just use energy work and meditation, even though it is possible to use astral projection consistently without doing aerobic exercises.

I think that you found the root of the problem, you weren't relaxed enough.  This can cause painful exit sensations.  It happens to me too but in my lower back when I'm not relaxed enough.

Robert Bruce mentions in his book similar experiences. He concluded that it was negs way to distract him. Try leaving night light on for the children and maybe some soft music, maybe nursery rhymes. That should make things more difficult for the negs. (If that's what happening in your home also).

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / OBE Obstacle

I think I'm about where you are , I get to a stage where I can hear voices , usually not much conversation wise but voices nonetheless.  I get the weird sounds also , metallic blinging sounds , popping sounds. I wonder if its the same stage.. it comes sometime after the hypnagogic imagery or sometime in between right ?  I let it slip away but mostof the time I am able to break the trance and wake up when I manage to get to that point .. I dont usually fall asleep after that stage like usual. If you get any help , I'll be monitoring this thread cause I'm not sure what to do either hehe.

I believe I can do anything. I believe I just have to learn more before I can make it happen. http://www.mutedfaith.com/images/spirit.jpg">

It sounds to me that you had an OBE, but your conscious level of awareness wasn't extremely high....just high enough to remember these OBE details.
I have had a number of experiences were full blown OBE's have faded into dreamlike experiences (due to my consciousness fading and losing control); likewise, I've had semi-conscious dreams turn into full blown OBE's with my full conscious awareness.  I think it's all just a matter of how focused a person is at the time of their projection.

Keep working on it, and hopefully next time, there will be no doubt in your mind that you've successfully projected.  =)

1) I've experienced pressure intense enough to reach through to the back of my head. Whether it is  progress or blockage depends on what other sensation/experiences you have at the time. Can you giive more details?

2) There seems to be the opinion that you can create an energy imbalance that may result in some psychosomatic type of trouble (hence the req. for details above) but at least in my case my body seems to have voided my energy work oon occasion (I'm guessing there have been imbalances and I've subconcsiously prevented furthering the problem)

If the ressure increases when you do an exit inducing technique I'd say go for it. Just listen to your body. You'll know when to ease off.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / White Noise??

The easiest way I can think of is to use a radio with stereo headphones. Somewhere between stations, where there is nothing but static. Actually, plain music serves the same purpose for me, because as soon as I start concentrating on something I stop hearing it. That is why I usually listen to a book on tape instead of music at work. It is easy to go through my work day in a trance.

One more thing... Would this occur regardless of whether or not a person projects.  Does projecting just make one aware of what is actually happening?

Please, everyone, have a sense of humor.  For all of those who are struggling with the heavy meditation, and concentration efforts associated with achieving an OBE, I thought this may put a smile on your face.  Humor breaks through the toughest barriers.

Well, from my experience, getting your body numb and paralyzed (like you have done) is only HALF the journey.  Most people think, "If I get my body paralyzed, then the vibrations are supposed to come next."  Not necessarily true.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you are getting your body numb (devoid of feeling) but you are still aware of it.  After all, the only way you could know that your body was numb was to have an internal dialogue with yourself where to say, "Wow, I know I am in bed, but I can't feel anything anymore!"

This is just the first step.  Before you can induce the vibrations (which, by the way, not everyone will feel...it varies from person to person), to must FORGET about your body.  That means not even thinking about it anymore.  Usually, what happens to me is that I allow myself to just slip off into a sleep state for just a bit.  Since my mind is calm and still at this point, I don't slip off into a dream.  But I lose consciousness for just the right amount of time to totally forget about my physical body in bed.

Usually, at this point, you will snap back to consciousness, either with a buzzing feeling, or a vibrational feeling.

Sounds like you're on the right track though.  Keep it up!
