Although you're on the right track, you still need to "let go" of a lot of things. You're still too focused on your physical/astral body.
A lot of people think that when they try to project, they need to focus on their ASTRAL body instead of their physical. From my experiences, this is probably not the best thing to do.
"Why?"
Because when you try to focus on ANY body part, you end up drawing attention to your physical body. After all, most of us automatically think in terms of the physical because we have been brought up that way. So when laying there, trying to focus on your astral arms, what is really happening is that your mind is saying, "Hey, I think I feel my astral arm. Or is that my physical arm? No, it's definately my astral arm!" You see, you end up keeping the thought of your physical body at the forefront of your mind.
The key is to relax all of your body, and then calm your mind. With a calm mind and relaxed body, you can focus your thoughts on a single point of awareness (like a shape behind your closed eyes, a ringing sound in your ears, etc.)
